Love all your dying papers 💛🧡💛 but the last one blows me away, your potential journal cover... This turned out so great 😍😊😍 when I saw your dying fingers I thought 'they would never be clean' 😂😂😂
Hahaha, I had to use bleach to wash my hands from those inks 🤣🤣🤣. And I have a box of gloves on my desk for the purpose of protecting my hands, and yet when I'm caught in the moment I always forget to put them on 🤣🤣🤣
I spend my summer days out in the garage doing the “messier” crafts. This is an amazing collection of things to add to my usual coffee dying. Thank you.
Hi Saacibo, thank you for a great tutorial. I love all your methods of making patterns on paper - brilliant and inspiring ideas. Sometimes I do the coffee/washing-up liquid, blow the bubbles, and place the paper on top of the cup. That way it gives a lovely texture and you can actually feel the bubbles when the paper is dry!! But I prefer your method. I really love how you make things on a budget. Some people use so much expensive stuff, it's impossible to achieve it when you don't have the finances. Thank you for doing that, as it's achievable for everyone😊 Have a lovely week ahead, take care, xx❤😊😊
Hello and thank you so much for your kind comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I believe that the fun and joy of creating should be available to everyone. Oh, I really didn't show the bubble technique in that video properly. There's going to be a new video on bubbles over the weekend. I hope you enjoy that one, too.😊❤️
I really enjoyed watching your video. All the papers did turn out very nicely. Sometimes less is more. Your new nautical digitals are beautiful and looking forward to seeing how you use them in a journal. ❤
Very cool! I’ve seen Barbara from 49 Dragonflies do the bubbles by leaving the bubbles at the top of the mug. She then brings the paper to the bubbles and taps them around the page. That seems to work really well.
When doing the bubble technique hold the paper above the bubbles and lower it onto the bubble mass. You will get more individual bubble prints and less total coverage.💜🐞 41:21
Thank you so much for the advice! I appreciate it. I'm happy to announce that the new video is going to be up over the weekend and it'll be just on bubble technique 😊❤️
I sat fascinated through that entire video. I'm so glad you got dyed fingers because I always end up that way when I work with my handmade dyes! The bleed-throughs are the best - they almost look like they have been in a very damp environment for a long time. Can hardly wait to see the journal!
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video. I like bleed-throughs as well. I think they add a special touch to the printed papers. I had to use bleach to wash the stains from my fingers 🤣. Whenever my hands end up looking like that, it's a sure sign I had lots of fun 😊❤️
The papers turned out great. I've been doing all kinds of dying paper the last couple weeks, including manila folders, envelopes and fabrics. I also tried using unsweetened Kool-Aid powder drink mix. I soaked paper in coffee 1st, laid it on the grass outside, then sprinkled some powder on it, didn't work out the best, the papers dried to quickly so there wasn't enough moisture for the powder to "melt" onto the paper. Next round I added more coffee to the paper with a paintbrush, then sprinkled the powder on, worked much better, and the paper smells like the colors, orange, grape, cherry, lol. Next I'll try and soak the ones that only ended up with dots on them, in the coffee again and see if I can get some movement of the colors. After watching your videos on making and using rust water, I recently dyed papers and then added rust water to a spray bottle and oh my, love them, turned out great. I now need to get a large sponge, and give that a try. Rain expected the next 4 or 5 days, so taking a break from dying paper, I like to do it outside in the summer months and hang on the clothesline to dry, mhm. 😊 Love your videos and ideas, thanks for all the inspiration!!!
Thank you so much for sharing that technique with powder drink mix. I haven't tried, maybe one day I will. I love experimenting. I try to dye a lot of papers in the summer, also. it's just so much more practical and easier to do it outside, no mess to clean after😊
I love your channel for videos like this one, where I learn a lot, get surprised ad inspired to try shown ways and potentially go further with them. It is a shame if your experiments and empirical evidence are not eventually documented to some extent in a dedicated book (like Natasa’s from Treasure Books), you should totally write a book! My memorabilia/inspirations from today’s video: - I should o Use my B&W laser printer to print ‘colored’ images (with the help of applying dyes later) o Take photos or scan most successful fragment after experiments (for printing & enhancing further with dyes and, again, taking photos of those) o Prepare light cotton cloth for whipping (to be used in crafts later) & stencils o Print on thicker paper (100 gsm) which will allow for minimal coffee dye coming through from the other side.
I'm really glad you liked the video and found inspiration in it. That makes me happy, so thank you for leaving the comment. Oh, writing a book seems like a big job, but who knows, I'm not saying yes or no. 😊 Until then, we can all enjoy Natasa's book, I know that she worked on it so hard, and I can't wait for my copy to arrive 😊❤️
@@Saacibo me too, can’t wait to read it. In the latest video she said it will be shipped soon, pre-orders stopped, orders started, yay. Her and your channels are at the top of my favourites. But i agree, a book is a huge dedication.
What fun! I loved seeing all the techniques you used. So creative! Thank you. You might want to watch Barbara at 49Dragonflies do her bubble paper technique. I think you will really like it. She puts the paper to the bubbles instead of the other way around and it has the effect I think you are seeking.
Thank you very much for that info! After I read your comment yesterday, I looked for Barbara's video and I just had to try her technique 😊. I definitely got better results and I had so much fun. 😊❤️
I have try to die printed digitals in severed thickness. But for me it blends thro a little bit to much. Now i'am going to try you way. Your digitals are beautiful as always. 💜
How very cool! I was just thinking of doing this too! Great minds think alike. But I was thinking of using the scrap book papers with one side too! And your new printables are absolutely gorgeous! Such a talented artist. I really enjoyed this video!❤
Yes, I agree, coffee is too light. Acrylic paint with soap sounds good. I've been practicing with inks diluted in soapy water and it also works well. 😊❤️
I am not good at moving wet papers, so I buy tinfoil baking sheets from the dollar store, and work on them so that I can easily pick them up to move my piece.
Thank you so much! Unfortunately, I didn't film how I made that cover, but I'm planning to record making of a new one, with fabric that I dyed in this video. 😊❤️
Really your camera is too far away from your work area. Ive been binge watching you and putting it on my TV to see what youre doing but still leaves a lot to be desired. When you show what you did 12 laid out it was a real diasappiintment because hard to see the design. Lot if vuewing time wasted. Prefer you show closeups after watching this long.
This comment should have been for the white paint gelli plate brown cards with lace and fabric but while I was typing the next in que came on so this comment is on wrong vid
Thanks so much! These all turned out awesome!!! Love the way the fabric turned out! xo

Thank. You Dagana for the wonderful printables and for the fantastic projects. I love them!!!!

Oh, yes, summer is definitely the best time to mess with dyes and paints! Love it😊❤️
Love all your experiments, and using cloth for your mopping up is so smart!
Thanks so much 😊 I'm really glad ❤️

My pleasure! Thanks so much for watching 😊❤️
Beautiful, I love strong tea and rust together for my papers it gives it a grey color❤
Yes, rust makes beautiful grey when mixed with tea and coffee. When I added rust to my avocado leaf dye I got a beautiful lavender grey, loved it!

Hello Barbara! Here's the link to the video that explains how to make gelli plate at home:

Fun techniques. The coffee is too light to see wellnin videos. I make tge bubbles with acrylic paintmt+ water+ liquid soap.

Just curious..are these laser prints?
No, my printer is inkjet 😊

Sorry about that. I try to include close ups in my more recent videos.
