This is the first time I've seen bubbles used the way you do and I REALLY like the finished results!!! VERY cool! Definitely must try your technique... THANK YOU!!! 🙂
I've also done this with liquid watercolors, dish soap and a little bit of hair conditioner mixed together. The conditioner helps the bubbles to last longer while holding the color so the final image is a bit more intense. A plus is that your papers smell wonderful afterwards 😂👍❤️
Great tip! Thank you. I'll have to try that. I think I have some tubes of watercolor paint. I wish I had some of that shampoo+conditioner to try. I wonder if that would even be easier than dish soap and conditioner. I do have some conditioner so I will try that today. I wonder if even just a little glycerin in the dish soap would do the same thing. I have some of that too so maybe today will be more experimenting 🤣...at this rate I'm never getting back to my French journal series. ❤️
I’ve tried this before and I was reasonably happy but your techniques are much better. I love love love these. Regular card stock just doesn’t do as well. You are awesome!
Thank you so much! I have had a lightbulb moment with an additional technique and then some commentary I want to try as well so there will be another video hopefully soon.
Awesome! I watched your final video before this one and now I’m going to rewatch it…lol. I’m gathering supplies too and so far I have everything needed (except space…my apartment is only 500 sq. feet) to give it a try. Once it warms up a bit I will do some outside and let them dry in the sun…I live in Texas so no shortage of sun and heat….😂. Thank you for sharing…just brilliant! 🥰
I liked the papers created during your bubble play. The paper shown at the end where you had a lot of white space with the bubbles in the void. I would take that print and glaze it with a transparent color like red iron oxide on the gel plate. It’s change the whole look into something you’d really like
Thank you for your tip. I'll have to try that. I do have a next video coming up soon where I do show ways to "fix" papers that don't turn out the first go round. 😉
Hmmmm - bubbles!!!! Playing with surface tension … which also relates to why the different papers are giving different results! Rather than relating only to the thickness of the paper, I think your results are likely more related to the water absorbency of the paper (which also relates to surface tension). It is evident, I think, that you get much clearer results on the paper that was somewhat water resistant - ie, the tracing paper and the art paper that had better sizing have clearer bubbles. Also, wetting the paper first changes the paper surface so that the water (and water soluble colour) travel more easily and spread out, hence less clear bubbles.
What an incredible body of experiments you have done and shared. Thank you! You didn’t love the second one, but I did!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Yay, for lightbulb moments. We get to see more experiments. 😍❤️
😉 ....and even more when I get comments with more ideas....today's another day of experimenting so the next video should be fun.

So so so s talented love these papers. I must give it a try.
Thank you so much. I can't stop myself either....still playing/experimenting today. 🥰
These were some beautiful videos.
Thank you so much. I hope you've watched the most recent Ep. 5. I think it's my favorite in this series. ❤️

That is awesome! Have fun experimenting 🥰

I really like the vellum and tracing paper so looking forward to the next video. I even liked the looks of your “fails” 😂
Thanks so much! I'm hoping to have it up soon. 😊

Just wait until you watch Ep. 5. You might be surprised?...or not...🥰
