Michele, I love this tutorial and this grungy look! I must say, your grungy paintings are the prettiest I've ever seen! I like your idea of gluing down strips of paper and then tearing parts of them off to give the paper more texture and interest. Also, loved seeing you use a variety of paints, ink, etc. in this. This looks like the perfect project to do when you're not quite sure what to paint. Yesterday I had a day of what I viewed as complete painting failures, so this is what I'll remember for the next time I just want a no-fail project. Millie is such a sweet and happy dog. I'm happy she has a good home.
Hello and welcome Sweet Millie!! Love love love your process of making your grungy paper and bubbles. So creative. TFS and blessings to you from Ohio!!
You do a fabulous job teaching and taking the "fear" out of trying something new. The bubble papers are gorgeous. Thanks so much!...Very adorable pupdog! We took in a stray a year ago and she loved tearing stuff up. It's like having a toddler around! haha! We Love her so much!🐶❤️
Just found you and love-love-love this approach to grunge! I'm a card-maker and you've given me a multitude of ideas -- thank you! I've adored how you've obliterated the cardstock so it's completely unrecognizable as such. I imagine some torn edge work would work a charm and give the edges even more texture and greater obliteration! lol Love it! Thanks
I dont have those colors (distress oxides) but i do have acrylic and now im thinking watered down acrylics could be fun to play with... off to the craftroom i goooo 😄😄
First off Millie is adorable!! I love bubbles too. When the twins were little I would hold the bubble wand in front of a fan and they would giggle and chase them around the room trying to pop them. It was so much fun and a little rebellious on my part because my mother would never let us blow bubbles in the house. 🤣😂🤣😂
How cool how the bubbles came to life!!! I’d love to do that and then see what I could make from the whole page. Thanks so much for the great inspiration!❤
This is so cool!! I love the random grunginess and the muted colours you have chosen. Layer upon layer... I have a whole box full of scrap documents and junk mail and I am sure I could use these as a base. The paper is regular printer paper but adding gesso and paint etc. will give it more body!
I’ve been looking all over for someone who effectively uses decollage, or “ungluing” as a base. What a surprise to see you do exactly that. Lovely technique that is actually useful!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing,it is much easier once you generously shared your step by step.Loved it !Good luck with puppy, she’s pretty cute
I really appreciate your tutorials, Michele. All of them! I thought you might have used dish soap somehow to make the effect, so you really surprised me. Thankyou
