Of course we want to see what you do with your papers! The soapy ones turned out beautifully. I like both the indoor and outdoor ones. The texture from under the tape was fabulous.
I'm not doing coffee bubbles but I have to say I saw your picture and you are so beautiful. Wow. And a great personality too? Well this is great. I will come back to do bubbles one day. Today I'm busy using your coffee papers to make a smaller coffee journal. I'm excited to make this. And all my papers in it will be from your works unless I get the strength to make some coffee dyed papers myself. Have fun teaching your bubbles. You rock Marci
LOL!! Oh my Marci! I had such a Marci day yesterday, and at one point I was so excited that I started yelling, "Marci! MARCI!!! MAR-SAYYYY!!" How on earth you didn't hear me, even down there in Madrid, is beyond me. I've been sick - turns out with Covid - but yesterday I was feeling pretty good, so I "played paper" as I call it. Over the past few weeks I determined that I need to fix my fixed income, and since I love dying paper with coffee almost as much as you do I wanted to come up with something that might lead me from coffee dyed paper to a couple extra bucks and I came up with making a few 3 x 5 notebooks to take to the local coffee shop/coffee store to see if maybe they'd be interested in putting some up for sale. Anyway.... I played coffee AND lemon juice AND salt AND fideo pasta AND right now I don't even 'member what else (cuz I feel really crappy again today), but I had an absolute blast!! I had a list of questions for you too, but again, right now I can't think of even one of them. I will 'tho, I hope, and write them down. I do remember thinking that it'd just be easier if I came over for the afternoon 😀 ... or maybe for the SUMMER 😲😳!! 🤭🤗 I'm gonna try these bubbles on plain ol' copy paper cuz light colored and write-on-able is what I'm after. I want to see what you do with your papers - the ones on art paper - they're gorgeous! I can use something like that - the thicker paper - for little notebook covers! So many ideas!! Soon as I make my first million, coffee's on me at the destination of your choice! ...Columbia? ...Bolivia? ...down the street at the Joshua Tree Coffee Company? Think about it 🤔! 😃 Love you sweetie, MK. ☕❤😁🏜 🤒🤧😷
ooohhh....Emm, im sorry u got the stupid bug, I have had it twice by now and its not fun...but at least you got to play and create and have a marci moment hahhahah that had me cracking, and hopefully the coffee shop was nice enough to sell your journals, i bet they looked gorgeous, as for a get together that will be so much fun too, I bet we could experiment with all that desert and beach sand.....ooohhh possibilities....a gal can dream right! Now im thinking what the Joshua tree company coffee taste like and how well it will go with a canvas ¿? heheheeh have a lovely day darling.! and I think i kinda though I heard my name that day.....hehehehehe
Are you my long lost sister? Or my silly long lost daughter? I would yell the same way. You are funny and goofy and I applaud your tenacity at making life better for yourself. So sorry you got the damn Covid. That bugs going to drive us all nuts. Hope you get well all the way and enjoy some paper funs
Going for a softer look where you would be writing on the paper I would say the ink is better. But for beauty's sake I would say the coffee bubbles are outstanding.
Absolutely brilliant 👏...I work a lot with polymer and rubber stamps and various inks...do you think they would stamp well over the coffee bubbles....thanks again I have subscribed to your channel Jane Rochfort North Wales UK 👍👏
What a difference the type of paper made to the end result. Thanks for showing these experiments. All of them will have their uses I'm sure. The one with ink looks like ostrich skin! I wonder what it looks like on fabric???
@mixitupMarci Read or heard somewhere that a little glycerine added to the mix makes for stronger bubbles. Also, would it help to use warm/hot water when dissolving coffee?
Do you think the type of dish soap matters? I tried and got multiple fails:-( I used watercolor paper and wet both sides to prevent warping which worked well. But I didn’t really get any variations in print. Just a brown puddle.
maybe, i mean I use the fairy brand, but as long as its good dish soap it should work, maybe the water soap ratio?? I used very little water and got it really soapy, did you see the blog post i linked? did you cut the entire bottom of the bottle? I did and tied the sock up real tight too... let me know if you try again. hope it works net time. =)
Dang it...went shopping today and I wanted to get instandcoffee...sadly I forgot...so I have to go tomorrow again...I am going to try this on the weekend! Thank you the bottle is a great ideer. Did you ever try to use glycerin with the bubbles? If you make long last bubbles you ad drips of glycerin. I gues I am going try that as well...this will be a great experemental weekend!
yes Gail i did, and got the little sock real tight in there and secure so it will be tense and firm for the bubble making. did you tried it yet? let me know how it goes. =)

What about using actual bubbles from the dollar tree? 🤔
How many holes do you put in the bottom of the bottle and how big?

How did your experiment turn out with the glycerin? ❤
@@Denita_Wishart the bubbles hold a little bit longer, but I think it is the same outcam. I have not tryed to put glycerin on the paper itself.
Can you use a transparent paper?
♥️♥️♥️
Niiiiiice! Did you cut off the entire bottom of the bottle?
yes Gail i did, and got the little sock real tight in there and secure so it will be tense and firm for the bubble making. did you tried it yet? let me know how it goes. =)
I just tried it and bubbles looked good and later it turned out to be just plain, do you think i used the wrong soap i used Dawn
Need very little water with the soap concentration i gave out and steong coffee to leave nice marks and no wind or air flow that can pop the bubbles
How to dry it quickly
cause i have to do them within an hour or two so i have to get them dry in half an hour ig
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️
And if one doesn't have a soapy or know what a soapy is because one lives in another country ...?
