    Great video!!! So the Armonic header is definitely the best header out there, have one on my B16 specv. I’ve heard horrible things about 2j tunes. Bobby tuned mine and I have better higher end for sure. He’s told me he viewed 2j roms and they’re just the stock rom, maybe some tweaks. I saw a dyno graph for a B16 and 2j tune made 190 and Bobby made 200. 10 hp difference in the same dyno on the same day while being na is a big gain. Uel headers sucks because it’s less power due to scavenging and it keeps the exhaust pulses in the head longer, which increases heat in the head. I’ve heard 2j intakes tend to have fitment issues or slag in the piping which definitely isn’t good😂
    Keep it up man!

      Yeah I talked about the slag ended up taking out the video just to make it shorter. Kind of wish I left that part in there. I saw you just uploaded a video I’m gonna watch as soon as I’m done work.

    Okay, am I fool for considering a 2j plenum kit?

    • @red_rabbit_specv
      @red_rabbit_specv  10 дней назад +1

      Depends. There is a slight benefit with heat absorption with the plastic manifold. Alot of it is just moving your power band and going from a dual runner to a single runner. To get the most out of it you need to raise your rev limit but that requires some work to do safely. There is also cheaper ways to accomplish the plenum swap. You will need to decide if the extra 2-5hp at stock redline is worth the 10-15 loss in torque down low.

      @@red_rabbit_specv good points, like you said, you lose low end, but supposedly gain 28+ whp mid-range? Seems hard to believe.

    • @red_rabbit_specv
      @red_rabbit_specv  10 дней назад +1

      @XenomorphLV426 28hp is bullshit marketing. To get the 28hp you need to raise the rev limit, cams, valve springs, and an aggressive tune along with the other basic bolt ons.

    Good to know. Where should I send my file?

      If you got a 2j rom send it to coykendall@live.com
      Also if you can let me know what parts it was tuned for and what year car and ecu ect… so I can pull up a equivalent stock rom for comparison.

    Good video, glad I stumbled on your channel!
    Concerning 2j would you personally send your car to them for turbo install and tune? I'm asking because I am in the process of sending them my Spec. I def would like your input.

    • @red_rabbit_specv
      @red_rabbit_specv  Год назад +1

      I personally would not have them touch my car. To many horror stories of them not standing behind there product or service when things go wrong.
      Shit happens you forget something or don’t tighten a bolt or something breaks. That’s understandable but to put the blame on that’s how the car came in then ghost the person isn’t right.
      Search on the groups about there tunes. You will probably change your mind quickly about them doing the tune also.
      If you have a place to work on it and some time I say just install the turbo yourself.

      Thanks bro!
      I'll heed your advice and use other options, I heard rumblings but nothing in detail which is why coming across your channel could have been a blessing in disguise considering I was planning on trucking my car to them because my thinking was, considering Joe built is race Spec he knew our cars better than anyone so I was willing to pay the extra $$ sending my car to them. man you just saved me potential headaches and $$
      I have an '02 original owner with about 63,000 chassis miles but only 34,000 engine miles when Nissan NA replaced the engine due to the oil burning issue.
      Thanks for the quick response as well. I'll get some of the parts I need from 2j outside of the clutch...lol.

      I got a long list of posts from people that have had issues. Oneday I might put all those screen shots into a video. It might be a long video and I didn’t really want to be perceived as a 2j hater. Funny thing is someone just messaged today saying his 2j cams snapped in half with only 1k miles on it. He messaged 2j and 2j said it not his problem it is a install issue.

      Was that on the FB group? I def would like to see that list.
      It's really crazy that most of the knowledgeable shops that are/were building for our platform, turned out to be crooks i.e like Trav back in the early days on TheVboard and B15Sentra and now 2j with unreliable installs/workmanship and a few others. You have the UpRev tune right? how do you like it cause I'll prob get that and have it tuned over my SAFC2

    • @red_rabbit_specv
      @red_rabbit_specv  Год назад +1

      @@SiCaRiI_DaGgEr the list I am referring to is just a bunch of screenshots I took from different groups when I was doing the research before making the video. I wanted to make sure if just not one person having a issue. I have meant to go through and analyze the issues and dates to see if there is any trends but just haven’t got around to it. As far as safc that should be fine for low boost. The channel worldwideb15s is going that route to start with. Expect some videos from him on it soon. A group of us will be working with him to make sure his car doesn’t blow up when that time comes.

    His lack of knowledge on the tuning side is why all these motors are blowing up. He just throws all the fuel, boost (if its a turbo car) and timing at it and prays it holds until the customer gets it back. Then after it blows up he says it's something they did. Not his crap build or tune. And you probably won't even get that far because 2j customer service is as garbage as his work and parts. I've driven one of his builds before and after 4200rpm the car made no power.
