Thanks for sharing. I had the marina I purchased my new(er) boat from fix/replace the gas struts on the extremely heavy rear hatch on my Robalo R242 and it made zero difference...hatch will drop right on top of me out on the water. Maybe I'll try the springs...thanks!
Oh geeze! Those gas struts are always a risk of failing in my opinion. Thanks for the call out on the carb video! I just replaced the starter in that same motor. I shot a video on it and will be posting later in the week. Thanks for following!
Hi there, how's that spring working so far? I have the same exact boat and was thinking about putting something to hold that cushion. Its a pain in the neck to hold it all the time.:) Question: Do you know if that spring is10 or 11" since west marine has both? Thanks
I used the 11 but the 10 would work. The 11 is not only longer but beefier. Thanks for the comment! The spring works perfectly and holds the cushion up along with lid no problem.
