Can I beat a Pokemon Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire using only Steel types?
Nuzlocke Rules:
-Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
-Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
-All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
-Always Set mode
-No items from the bag option in battle (held items are ok)
-No overleveling the next gym leader
My Extra Rules:
-No Mega Evolution unless the opponent has one
-No purely setup moves

I would've gotten nosepass as my encounter in Granite Cave since its evolution is steel type, and Aron/Lairon can be caught in Victory Road
Also, it's Slacking, not Slayking
Antlerboy's Intelligence when it comes nuzlokes is incredible, the way he defeats trainers with a Pokémon that is super effective against his whole team is really impressive.

Fun Fact: There are only 12 pure Steel Types.
Registeel, Klink, Klang, Klinklang, Mega Aggron, Meltan, Melmetal, Galarian Meowth, Perrserker, Cufant, Copperajah and Orthworm.
There’s also 13 pure ghost and dragon types
There’s also only 3 pure flying types
There’s also way too many pure water types to count

Going into the Steven fight, I was on the edge of my seat. This was the most hype I’ve ever felt watching a video in general. Love watching these nuzlockes.
This one I had initially written on my spreadsheet as impossible after attempting it in Emerald and failing miserably, but with that event Beldum that fixed the problem, good stuff dude!
I think for future monotype nuzlockes you should allow yourself to catch every eligible encounter on a route (in this case both Aron and nosepass) seeing as there’s not many encounters to begin with. Great video tho!

I knew just by the number of encounters that this run would be a challenger, but it was thrilling to watch you pull off a victory against Steven with only one pokemon left. (reminds of a pokemon Y nuzlocke where I survived the battle against Diantha with only a Basculin). Keep up the great work, Mr. Antlerboy.

I remember getting the shiny beldum in 2014, I was 8 and omega ruby was my first pokemon game and I loved every second of that save. My older sister deleted my save last year without telling me.

as a steel type lover, i loved this video. nice job man. i gotta wonder, would this chalange have been easier in AS? since primal kyogre is a pure water type, you wouldn've had to rely on metagross for the win, like you did with primal kroudon. i don't know how XP sharing works in OR/AS so i could be wrong but, would that have made metagross usable vs wallace? maybe sparing Aggron and having him for the elite 4? mind you, the end would've been less impressive so i guess it worked out for the better but i'm curious

Funny, during Covid I had to quarantine (My dad caught it) and I did some shiny hatching in Sw/Sh; one of them being a shiny Metagross.

All right the other day, I played pokemon Violet for the first time, and when I went up against iono, the electric type gym leader. I started with clodsire to take out the first three pokemon, then switched to naclistack, who knew the move smack down. Which let you hit Mismagias for super effective ground type damage

Can we HGSS with ghost types as the next very challenging run? You can actualy get Gastly before gym 1 so you wouldn't need to cheat the run to get a pokemon before the first gym. Also, great video love the content, keep up the amazing work
Just incase this run wasn't tough enough for you, in Kalos' berry farming area you can sometimes find pokemon invading your crops, It just so happens that there are 6 encounters in those trees. So maybe a run could be made using them?
The Transformers names for the Pokemon is done like such a casual and no thought.
Trypticon (Giant robot kaiju/dinosaur) or Grimlock (T-Rex) would've been better for Aron/Aggron and Magnemite could've been Shockwave, who's a cyclops with a cold machine-like intellect.
Calling the Skarmory Starscream worked though but Windblade could've worked.
