Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
No items in battle (only held)
No overleveling the next gym leader

Actually, there is a really good reason for hop picking the weaker starter. He wants to get the stronger starter against leon. Meaning he wants to be super effective against the remaining starter, which leon gets

The thing I love about Antlerboy's hardcore nuzlockes is the commentary. Unlike some other hardcore nuzlockers that sound like they dont really sound into it while commentating over the nuzlocke; Antlerboy always sounds super enthusiastic and constantly throws in little one-liners that make me chuckle and has running jokes from nuzlocke to nuzlocke like the 'ms region' titles. It makes the nuzlocke overall much more fun to watch when hearing Antlerboy's hilarious commentary over it.

probably because the ones that try to seem enthusiastic are youtubers that are made for kids. Someone that has an audience of adults would probably not do the same.

Mai was the real MVP here. She set up so much sun that water was nothin to the team. Plus Aang's solar beam and Ninetales energy ball took out the trash
i actually liked that leon takes care of the dynamax issue for us. it always felt kind of dumb that the story of every game hypes up the champion and then it has to be a 10 year old kid fixing everything and the champion is nowhere near to be found. the only ones that were somewhat involved were alder iris and steven and even then they were just cheerleading. i think it's nice that we get a champion that lives up to his name. they also talk about him being the undefeated champ and all this crap, would be dumb to not have him do it IMO

@@wolverineminer yeah i know, i just didnt include him because i dont consider GSC/HGSS to have a story cuz they really dont have one. even the rocket event is just a bunch of fights against random grunts who are 15 levels below you cuz level curve sucks and then you beat the admins and it has the most anticlimactic ending ever cuz giovanni doesnt even show up. and there isnt even any real buildup to the goldenrod event either
Honestly fair. Though I do wish it had something similar to Black 2 White 2 where Cheren also gives a hand in a double battle. They fight on their own but you also lend a hand taking some down. Maybe Leon takes down most of them on his own but then on his way to defeat another, you get dragged into it instead with hop. Maybe there were more than one or something in the same place so he couldnt help. There are things that could rope the main protagonist in

interesting fact, most people’s favourite colours are actually used as secondary colours or aren’t really used in their day to day life, an example would be that i love the colour pink, and most things i do have something to do with pink, however my favourite colour is cyan. idk it’s some weird psychological thing with it being a treasure to our brain so when we see it, it releases more happy chemical. i had a whole course about this in my graphics A-level

Cinderace is my favourite galar starter pokemon. You just didn't use it very often to see what is capable of.

Cinderace is literally my all-time favorite pokemon, I picked it a nuzlocke and she sadly died right before the champion fight. The nuzlocke wasn’t my first run, I did like, 3 runs before it

Yo, this posted right as I was doing a fire type only run of Pokémon sword. What a coincidence
Honestly Incineroar is my least favorite fire starter and I like Cinderace slightly more than that thing. I much prefer Houndoom over Incineroar for the dark/fire typing, but it doesn't exist for Sword and Shield sadly. But it's easily obtainable after the first badge in BDSP, not sure why it's labeled as rare since I tend to find a Houndoom every 5mins with each encounter. Not sure about getting the other fire starters, but I either need a lot of fire statues or they're post game in the underground, idk. My #1 favorite fire starter is Cyndaquil hands down and I'm serious and seeing it in the upcoming Legends Arceus has me excited to use it again in a playthrough
Incineroar is a polarising pokemon. Either you love it or hate it, for me it's actually my fav starter. Cinderace on the other hand is just really meh, like im indifferent towards it.
For me being polarising is better than just being underwhelming
It looks like a Looney Toons character is what bothers me about Incineroar, I would've preferred if its final evolution looked like a feline version of Arcanine. And I don't really like any of the Galar starters that much, I mostly use Cinderace cause of its fire/fighting move pool without being a dual element Pokemon which I find odd cause of its design. Grookey line I don't like cause I've never liked the monkey Pokemon, though Mankey and Primeape I don't mind as much cause they don't look like monkeys all that much and are just furballs with limbs. The Soble line is probably my favorite Galar starter, but only out of the Galar starters. My favorite water starter is still the Squirtle line, don't know how I feel about Greninja as I haven't played X or Y yet. My favorite grass starter is the Treecko line cause I do like reptiles
@@firstswordcorvus7368 but that's the point.. it looks different from the usual feline pokemon we have. We have tons of quadruped feline pokemon as it is and incineroar really stands out by being so different.
And looking like a looney toons character is subjective because i think Cinderace looks even more like one than Incineroar does lol. Looking at the thumbnail of this video, incineroar looks so badass and full of character
Grookey line is my fav of gen lol. I just tend to prefer more bulky looking pokemon. Inteleon looks way to skinny for my liking
But ehh this just shows we all have out own personal taste

Honestly I’ve been kinda neutral to the fire type (except for chandelure, that thing is amazing) but this has made me like it slightly more
Leon was one of the few actually competent champions who solved problems by themselves without having to rely on the kid who got their first Pokemon two days ago.
He is advertised as the strongest in Galar and that's true right up until your match with him.

I did the challenge like what you did as well and it help to find out what pokemon can I get since I didn't know you can get charmander from the den, also if you guys have trouble beating Leon, teach stealth rock to Torkoal and set it up as it deal half damage when Leon throw out charizard.

man, this reminds me when i attempted a steel only nuzlocke, i got a corviknight and a few other steel types, most of which died to kabu, the only reason why i won is because centiscorch is part bug type so i was able to get the kill with corviknight

Ground or Flying type's should be a challenge for you to do because there is a good amount of Ground type pokemon in Galar.
