Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
No items in battle (only held)
No overleveling the next gym leader

I stand by my earlier decision to do a Halloween episode starring ghost type Pokémon. Is the reason I chose X and Y over any of the generation 7 games is because the idea of Pokémon Paris strikes me as more fitting for the aesthetic than Pokémon Hawaii.

Leek raises your crit ratio by 2 stages. In Generation 6 onwards, 3 stages is enough to guarantee a crit. Focus Energy was overkill. Leaf Blade + Leek is enough to guarantee a crit.

Just for rules sake, would the "first viable encounter" for Ratls in this case HAVE to be a male? Because a female can't become Gallade so that makes it unviable? Love your vids man, keep it up!
Yes, the nuzlocke is a monotype which only male ralts can have. So the first encounter is only a male ralts.

I feel like there should be a new rule that your not allowed to setup. It defeats the purpose of a HARDcore nuzlocke if you just go to plus 6 and sweep. I feel like that would make it even more entertaining than what it currently is

Just finished a sword nuzlocke. Finished it out with a team of Chandelure, Garchomp, Meowstic, Incineroar, Corviknight, and Gallade were what I went in with, and I only came out with Garchomp against Leon. Shuddered a little bit when you said it wasn’t too hard.

The coba berry interaction with flying press is actually correct here regardless of what it shows. Since it's both flying and fighting type damage, Hawlucha would take neutral damage (weak to flying but resists fighting). Coba berry specifically says that it reduces super effective flying type damage, and since there is no super effective text, the berry doesn't activate.
