I lost my dpf, the egr,and the ccv filter in a boating accident!! Truck runs amazing with zero issues!! 😂😂😂😂
Thats funny. Same thing happened to all my guns. Boating is a very dangerous hobby these days.
I took the whole EGR cooler on my 11 and put it where it belongs....in the scrap bin
I believe, Thanks to you telling us about the Ford service bulletin, my EGR cooler on my 2013 was changed under warranty, Thank you very much Arod! I also, after that was done, installed the S & S Disaster kit. What I couldn't believe was how much black nasty sooty crap was caked to my upper and lower intakes. Granted my truck has 230K on the clock, but I was blown away at how much of that crap I scraped out. Good news is the truck runs like new, better MPG and more power. Also installed the Banks pedal monster and Derringer systems. The Banks stuff is great, my truck moves out like never before, so happy with that. Sorry, I'm rambling, but most of these improvements got done learning from you on your channel, and it's very much appreciated! Great Channel, Great Content, Thanks Aron!

About 2020. I asked you about it. And I was being whiney about the pipe. And you told me the trick about removing the battery and tray. It works like a champ. Had a very hard time in finding the 17 cooler and up due to COVID. But got one. Then dec of 23 replaced the HPFP with the DCR.all is good on the home front. Thanks again Arod for your help and advice.

This is exactly what i need done to my truck 2011 f250 . I have the DCR pump already and I ordered the 2017 model cooler and the gasket kit. They shipped today, when I get them i will email you and make an appointment. Great video as always.

I unfortunately had this happen to me back when COVID had started. I was not able to purchase a newer style core (infinite back order) and could only buy the original style or one from Bulletproof Diesel, which was crazy $$. Really sucked knowing I was replacing crap with crap but had no choice. Luckily I almost never idle my truck and do mostly highway driving so hopefully it won't clog up again quickly.
My white 2015 platinum was a TX truck....some surface rust being at the Gulf. Otherwise clean.

Cool Hitch! I actually invented that back in the early 80's. It's for a platform. Can be used as a removable dog box or a carry all, for coolers luggage, game, etc. I had it on the back of one of the first full size Bronco's. It was great until one time I overloaded it with coolers, deer and hogs coming back from Texas and broke an axle. :-(

Mine was covered under warranty for some reason 250000 miles on it. It was a recall just had it done 2 years in july.

I did one of these on a 2012 6.7, it was completely plugged and noticeably heavy. You couldn’t even see through it.
Is the truck possibly set up for a rear mount salt spreader?

P-TT…crossing them T’s! Thank you for this, very helpful! My old style cooler core was looking good, probably due to traveling at the unofficial MI speed limit of 85…gotta burn 🔥 dem dinosaurs bones. The emission components work as designed, gotta get that shit hot enough to burn off the carbon byproducts and you shouldn’t have any problems with insufficient EGR flow. Definitely a worth while upgrade! The new cooler core is significantly lighter and will flow a lot better. Hats-a-tipping to you Ace🫡

That thing is huge compared to my old 6.0 egr cooler. Hopefully my 19 won’t need to be changed until that 200k mark

Can you not blanket the egr off like we do here on a lot of cars and vans in the Uk get a lot better MPG etc and sometimes doesn’t affect our MOT test😊

If I have a tuner and the egr is unplugged with dummy plugs inserted would there be a need to replace it any way? I think Ford was replacing them but did that program end?
....if it's unplugged then it ain't workin
I've heard they updated the nortious EGR pipe bolts on 2020+ trucks and don't have an issue with breaking anymore?

I wonder if after you put the DCR in and after the. Truck engine is warm up if you hear a nocking noise like my truck did and now they put in the second DCR pump in today and it’s still nocking 🤔🧐 I did the update on the cooler
Are they installing it correctly. We have done well over 20 of em at least
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod Yes S&S are saying they are aware that some of the pumps are making a knocking noise and they are trying to figure it out once the engine warms up is when you hear the knocking sound

How many hours does it take to remove and replace that nasty EGR cooler with the newer version? I recently replaced the cold side intercooler pipe on my 2013 with 90K miles, and noticed that the lower intake manifold was gunked up. I was able to clean a lot of the crud out but now I'm thinking the EGR cooler has to be on borrowed time.

Is the turbo cooled by the primary system or the secondary? I have a leak in the primary on 2017 6.7 and I fear it’s head gaskets. I’ve checked everything
Primary. I will tell you those head gaskets to NOT leak coolant

You also didn’t show the importance of properly cleaning the ports of the lower intake. There’s 3 that need to be cleaned out where the pipe from the cooler to the intake gets plugged solid don’t miss that crucial step

You don’t need to do all the extra work in removing the battery, washer bottle , and pcm. False info. It will fit out if you leave that all intact with keeping the egr pipe installed
28:29 Now you know some dumb@s$ is gonna over-do those bolts w\ a 1/2" impact on full power and end up snapping them right off. I get it, y9u know how tight they go because you've done 100+, but you really should show or tell torque specs for them. I know they're not 'lug nuts', but you know somebody is gonna f this all up with a way too powerful high torque impact.🤔🤦🏻♂️😅🛠️🔧🔩🛢️👍🏻👌🏻
