I came for “The Bitter Truth” reactions, and found a great dude with excellent musical taste and excellent analysis and pointers. As a long Ev fan, watching your vids gets me hyped into why I love this band in the first place. It’s kind of like talking with a friend that actually knows about music about your favorite band. Around this time I was stationed in England, and there was this really great music video channel that would play a lot of rock and metal stuff. Never had anything to that extent in the states, I think the closest thing was Headbanger's Ball, but that wasn't on all the time, like that channel in England... Man I wish I could remember what channel that was, the music was great!

This is my favorite album by Evanescence, you should react to the entire album! This album has a lot more piano than TBT for sure which is probably why I like it most.

This album was written with her and Terry so more piano and then David Campbell did the orchestra arrangements like all albums (really highlighted on Synthesis). You have a great ear for the differences on the albums. ❤️❤️❤️

Nice reaction as always - as far as if I think u should react to just “the open door” for now- I think if u plan on doing all their albums and songs, I think u could react to 1 album at a time because u will eventually get to everyone’s requests and u could look at each album individually and sonically as a body of work.... but if u are not planning on that I think u should skip around cuz there are different sounds and epic songs found throughout their discography hence why so many requests lol

No one ever mentions that falseto note, and I don't understand why. I liked this song when I first heard it, but that ending made me love it. I feel the same exact way with Amy.
It is interesting this song isn’t about the drug because she captures how people actually feel taking Lithium. Most feel like a zombie with no emotions & tend to get off it to once again to feel.

So I am kind of the odd man out in that I think while The Open Door has some of the bands best songs on it, their self titled album in 2011 is their best effort.
I would suggest doing some other reactions to honor others who have made requests, then carve out some time to do the Open Door some justice. It's really good. You've already done Your Star, and that deserves the live performance as well.
I see your point you're making on audio quality, but these are some pretty good higher end Sony buds. You don't need the best quality audio to emotionally feel music, you just need the ability to feel emotions. And if I may make a counter-point to you: So have you ever seen Shawshank Redemption? Andy Dufresne kept himself sane in solitary confinement with no headphones, just listening to music in his head.
I’d say just react to songs that are in each album first. For me, it’d be great if you start from the beginning and see how they evolved, but I’m okay with you going backwards-I just like when you react to evanescence lol

I literally discovered them a few days ago and have been completely blown away by their songs. If you haven't heard them before, I will just recommend the tracks Inspire The Liars, Strawberry's Wake and Head Hunters. Some of the catchiest songs made by some of the most talented musicians I've heard in probably a decade.
