Evanescence - Lithium Masterpiece Broken parts or puzzle time, water or oil, tune or word, stay in love or particle repulsion, chemical or natural, function or the form, disregard or regarded & toward, the brush with emotions or the sweep of the masterful, In this instance I know, in the resistance I show, in this constant I grow, in this moment I sow. Nothing and the work, bothering with sleeping, catching hours after time stood still weeping, backdrop to the backstop while filling in time, doorstop on the wrong side burning freely, radio assistance, the wavelength, to save strength, In this instance I know, in the resistance I show, in this constant I grow, in this moment I sow. Fil, yes, absolutely - goose bumps. #QcumberSquad #Evanescence - Fil, I*’m off back to the study.
As a bipolar i was a fan of this song as soon as i heard it . Its like she is singing from my perspective. The truth is there is no cure for bipolar . Meds are just to ease your pain . Not to cure . The part when she says i don't wanna lock me up inside lithium . Its like you already feel everything that you did . But you just numb and you can't show it . And it helps you to go on daily life . My fav part is when she sings "here in darkness i know myself . " "always find myself among the ashes " . It feels great to hear it . Like someone else understands me ^_^
Your text is exactly what i was looking for to comment but you did it! thanks for that, as a bipolar i knew this song different then my friends in my age...i understood the lyrics and it gave me solice and that im not alone ❤
Absolutely love this ..her voice is absolutely gorgeous full of passion an emotions ...stunning ....love listening to your thoughts amazing fi thanku so much love and God bless x
Great reaction! Loved your analysis of the song… in an interview Amy said lithium is a metaphor for happiness, and in the song she talks about the fear of being happy, the letting go in the end of the song is about letting those fears go, and choosing to be happy.
Litium is used as an antimanic medication. This song is very personal to me. Manic episodes are great. It's a relief from depression and you feel indestructible, on top of the world, fun and have a false sense of clarity. Unfortunately you throw away caution and it can become self-destructive and you become too spontaneous. So during a depression episodes or when you feel your meds numb you too much, you can become nostalgic and try and remember how it is to be fun and powerful, you try to remember what the manic episode felt like, "life without litium".
She actually talked about this song after the album was released. The theme is a metaphor she’s actually never been on the drug. Lithium is a very strong drug which basically makes you numb to everything and long-term can damage your brain. This whole song is her singing to herself essentially. She wants to break up with that darkness the part of her that she obsesses over when she’s riding. It’s this strange addiction and love she has for the sorrow in her life because it helps her create. But at the same time it destroys her so here she is toiling over her options of staying in love with the darkness or letting it go and finally seeking happiness and another muse.
So I know you’ve done a couple of Halestorm and they got blocked but she does an amazing rock ballad with Amy Lee. Song it’s called Break in and they are both incredible, 2 of the best female rock vocals out there!
I LOVE YOUR EXPLANATION SIR. GOSH IT GOT ME TEARY. SO LOVE THIS SONG. IM SUBSCRIBE. HOPE TO HEAR MORE EVANESCENCE. NOT JUST AN AMAZING SINGER, ALSO AN AMAZING LYRICIST. SO LOVE IT SO MUCH
Omggg you gotta do Bring Me The Horizon featuring Amy Lee - One Day The Only Butterflies Left Will Be In Your Chest As You March Towards Your Death. (Yes that title is real haha) it’s such a masterpiece of a song and so hauntingly beautiful! Amy at her best.
Another great reaction. Love how energetic you are during the reactions and your breakdowns of the songs. Another great female lead vocal band is Halestorm. You should check out I amnthe fire by them. You should also check out a band called Amaranthe. They have 3 lead vocalists 1st lead being the female. Should checknout GG6 by Amaranthe.
Oh, bruh…she’s very good live as well!! Saw them during the Open Door Tour!! 🖤🖤🖤 Edit: I thought “Lithium” could be intertwined with whatever the lead singer from Seether’s name is (since they dated and broke off due his alcohol dependence)!!
