I've gone out to eat in so many different ethnic restaurants, that I never would have tried if Sonny had not traveled all over the world for me first. LOL I think that my taste buds have gone to new levels vicariously through his experiences, but even with my eyes closed I just couldn't try some things. I have "MAD RESPECT" for what he has eaten to bring us the funny and informative descriptions of how a food tastes or feels. Keep on going Sonny but stay healthy and happy doing it all. Thank you. 🤘😁👍
My husband and I have learned so much about food and different cultures and you’ve eaten food we never will, but we definitely feel more educated and we appreciate what you are doing and we’re upset to hear about the censoring of your videos on RUclips. Shame on them for trying to stop you from showing people how others in the world eat. You give people opportunities to learn and even try things they maybe never would. Hello, I love your channel! I’m an Iranian grandma who lived in India for over 45 years. After my husband passed away and all my children grew up, I returned to Iran and now live in Shiraz. My daughter helped me open a RUclips channel this week. My children try to keep me away from all-you-can-eat buffets because I have diabetes and can’t resist trying every sweet dish. What I really like and admire about Sunny is that when it comes to food, he is not at all so squeamish like the average Americans, so he can enjoy a lot of actually delicious food that are normally intimidating to the others.
At least for me it's not so much that I am squeamish it's I have a weird stomach lol. I once tried some sautéd mealworms that my neighbor made (I forgot what country they immigrated from) and it haunted me for 24 hours. The same happened when I tried a tiny squid ball dish (I forgot the name but it was a tiny ball that might have been fried and inside was a tinyish part of a squid). But don't get me wrong both of these tasted incredible.
I am always impressed with the variety offered at buffets, I have seen from ' un edible bad ' up to ' that was so good, it only cost what ? ! ', but I have never been to a cook your own place, that seemed nice, thank you once again for putting your body on the line for us all.
This is way cool. Vietnam is one country that I've always wanted to visit. If given the opportunity to visit anywhere in the world i would have to choose Vietnam. I've always wanted to visit the European country of my ancestors but if given the choice i would choose Vietnam.

Thanks man here in Vietnam I'm pretty confident that we have the best sauce to dip with meat/seafood. Look 6:11 what Sonny dipping, a sauce made of green mustard, green chilli, kumquat essence juice, condense milk, sugar, unrefined salt, msg, coriander, all mixed and blended to create this mystery sauce.
@@Holystar12 not so much of a mystery eh? But man, seafood culture in vietnam is what surprise me the most, here in indonesia which is what the govt called maritime/mariculture nation, our seafood is so .. lacking, variety wise

I would be absolutely WRECKING their margins EVERY SINGLE DAY. This is exactly how I try to eat at least once per month. I got really into cooking and different unusual (for most Americas) meats in the last couple years. I make good steak and loaded, pulled pork baked potato dinners about once a week or two. At least 60% of what I buy is various meats (beef, chicken, pork, fish, lamb, shellfish) and other components for various dishes. Its been a LOT of fun
Fisherman call that "fin" piece the wings. Its the soft flesh between those fins that is the prize and when cooked right the fins are like a delicious crunchy finish. This is the second best tasting part of a fish behind the cheeks-small yet most flavorful bit that usually gets savored by those preparing these meals. Nice Buffet.
people don't understand what they are missing when they pass on the tongues and cheeks of a fish. Here in Newfoundland, Canada it is one of the most sought-after pieces of the fish. Also, the heart of most animals is SO yummy. Moose, caribou, chicken, seal, pork, beef heart are all amazing to eat.
Yes!! Fried walleye cheeks & wings are to die for!! Kinda funny how you gotta encourage people to try them but when they do they end up loving them every time.
Thanks for all the videos team! I love the appreciation of cultures your channel brings. It warms my heart to see people all around the world making you smile and The other way around too.
That’s too generous for $8. I remember in 2019 my cousin in South Korea took me to a buffet in her city. It’s only $5. I was shocked. Can’t wait to go back someday.
Gotta give it to Sonny for always going out there and trying new (sometimes un-heard of) food items that we've never consider of trying LOL 😆 I think I've tried everything on this episode minus the fish fin. When trying new exotic foods--pairing it with the right kind of sauce helps! Trust me 😉
