Been there 2 Days ago, and it was sooo delicious! And as an extra surprise, Mark himself came over for lunch... he is so humble, friendly and heartwarming
I really enjoy restaurants that basically serve one dish. They're really good at making that one delicious and craveable dish, instead of offering 20-30 mediocre things.
The more dishes I see on a restaurant menu, the lower my expectations get. If I see a bunch of different style of cuisine (Italian, Asian, American, Indian, etc.) on 1 menu, I know for a fact that the food will be mediocre.
I went to eat there a few times. The spice level is one step higher than the average Thai shop. A less spicy dish would be medium in an average Thai shop. I took the medium spicy. It's just a normal shop, not very cheap, but you get a very big portion and they use duck eggs and the taste is pretty good. I did not know Marc was the owner until one day I was eating in the shop and the Dutch guy that sat beside me told me about Marc, who was in the shop too.. Marc is looking as cheerful in real life as in his youtube videos.

For Thai street-food its so expensive you can see all you can eat thai buffet on last 3 videos its cost you 1/2 and its a buffet Mark krapoa is cost like2- 3times the normal prices

I went to eat there a few times and I live in Thailand of a Thai income.
Making a dish for mark and watching his face light up as he tastes the first bite is that instant gratification that good cooks strive for. It makes it all worthwhile.
Sonny, you should put a milkshake cart near the restaurant. Imagine the profit you'll get from all the customers looking for drinks to cool them down. You and Mark are going to be business sharks in just a few months with that combination. 😂

I went to phed mark back in march this year and it was pretty damn good phad krapau. The duck egg and spice level was on point. Don’t underestimate the spice levels.
I like how colourful and fun looking the restaurant including the part where the kitchen is. Kind of reminds me of some of the Mexican or Hawaiian restaurants are

Here's a hack from a pepperhead to a pepperhead yet extra cycle thumbs it helps, but I do it because eating hot stuff's a little addictive.😅😊 And milk kind of cuts the heat but lemonade cuts it better. My dad always said cut an acid with an acid.
I'm not fond of runny yoke, but I'd definitely give this a try. Looks so good 🤤 I tend to do medium spice level for whatever is offered. Gives me a gauge for the kind of burn, not just the burn level, since every pepper mix seems to hit different in both the mouth and the stomach. - Love the energy and way the video is done.
LOL..... I didn't even know Mark had a restaurant of his own. That looks good too. I make that same dish at home here in Florida. Without all those chilies. Well I lie. I use Green and Red ones from my pepper plants. It's freaking hot. But I gave up on the supper hots like those Reapers. I do use Habanero's once in a while and have a collection of stuff like that in my freezer. My Chili garden once produced enough of that stuff that I didn't replant any of it. I have about 3 pounds of those types of chilies frozen. This year I'm growing jalapeno, ornamental thai, and tabasco, along with my bells. I also started growing Galangal and Ginger. And also 4 types of basil.

I wanna try, I know I can take it - but the question is: at what cost. I eat extremely spicy but some types of not so spicy chillies for some reason kick my ass the next day more than some very spicy ones
My wife and I ate there when we visited. She had level 4 with squid and I had level 5 with pork. It was hot!! But it had amazing flavors. Great finding heat and flavor.

I agree that would be entertaining, but I think Sonny is a WAY better food reviewer. Mark just goes "MMMMMM WOOWWWW!!" like 95% of the time. Sonny gives us his honest opinion; he won't be impolite, but he let's us know when he doesn't care for something. With all the food Mark tries, there is no fucking way everything is "MMMMM WOOWWW!".
I happen to be in Bangkok this week and this video is so timely. My hotel is only about 20 minutes from this restaurant, I will be visiting tomorrow. Definitely won't try the Level 5 spice.
