The chemistry you guys have together is so natural. You bring out the Sonny in Calvin, individually you guys are awesome together you guys break the sound barrier.
Watching these videos has made me want to go to Vietnam and Japan and everywhere in between. Such a beautiful area and everyone seems so humble and happy. Not a world that takes things for granted as we do in America. I am talking about what we just expect to have when we wake up. Like air condition, heat, electricity, running water etc. All the things we don't consider a luxury. We are a very spoiled group of people and certainly can not survive if we didn't have all of our luxuries. I was the first to whine about no electric after the several hurricanes that hit Florida in the past 6 years. I shut my mouth when I saw the devastation in places like Haiti and Puerto Rico.
Bun Bo Hue is my absolute go to dish... You need to do one of those comparison vids of cheap vs expensive Bun Bo Hue dishes... Had jellyfish noodles before, they are mostly just tasteless, but keto friendly...lol... Blood cake in asian soup noodles is common place, no shock value for me...but great for keto too... lol... Great vid, but everything's better with Calvin...
I had Bun Bo at that exact place in 2017. It’s right next to my hotel. Didn’t know it’s a famous place but it was absolutely delicious. My second favorite Vietnamese dish after Bun Thit Nuong😋
In Indonesia we called that microscopic clams as "Kupang". Paired with Lontong (Indonesian rice cake wrap in banana leaf), fried tofu, fried shallots, and serve with shrimp paste base broth/dressing. Its surprising for me to see it in Vietnam and looking at the way it served make me realize how close our food source and cuisine are.
Wah barusan mau komen ternyata udah ada yg komen duluan hehe I really love lontong kupang, in fact this vid making me craving for lontong kupang in the middle of the night! Btw in the previous vid Sonny and Calvin showed us a dish with weird smelling black goo from fermented shrimp paste, I was wondering is that the same thing as petis?

It contains 5 types of flavor in 1 bite: sourness from starfruit, bitterness and sweetness from shredded greens and herbs once blended with fermented shrimp paste, umani and saltiness from the small clam meats and also fermented shrimp paste. That's pretty delicious, and you can get all 5 flavor in a dish from 40-60 cent (10k - 15k vnd)! Thanks Sonny for bring this delicious dish up

I love bun bo hue more than pho and that is my go to when I have Vietnamese. However, I can never seem to find it served with the congealed blood in restaurants (at least in PA). It usually only has the pork trotter, slices of beef, and a type of fish patty. I'm not sure if I have to ask for it, I am Chinese American so I wouldn't know how to. I'm vietnamese. I ate 3-4 clam noodle bowls eachtime. Maybe foreigners fill full with 8-10 bowls. Hihi. This clam noodle is a junk food between the main meal. So, it's cheap for that reason
You guys are the best duo out there period. Much love and respect for both of you.
We need a new Japan series. Sonny + Calvin + Suzuka will be epic.
Great combination of Sonny and Calvin🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🧤🧤🧤
Sonny, you've hit a sweet spot there. You've got an amazing team there, from producers, researchers, camera, editors (fire!), and co-hosts (Calvin's easily my fav). Keep it up team.
Always love it when we see Cal.
