Some have the ability, others the skill; still others the 'magic' which makes music the universal medium of expression. Jason is a 'magic man'. Great post.
Been a fan for 15 yrs. saw him live for the first time last month here in Charleston SC and was BLOWN AWAY. live show was amazing. He deserves all he's due.
I discovered him by seeing him live 6 years ago when, "BLOWN AWAY" describes my experience too! Just scored tickets to see my fourth show this weekend!
@@williambenthal8989 absolutely was. Bootleg video someone took with cell phone on here somewhere. They’re so clean it’s uncanny. Very well mixed and arranged; band themselves and the set progression.
So happy his music crossed my path. His incredible imagery and tight story telling is just a wonderful part of my days. And the sound of all that music is pretty dang awesome too.
i have tickets to take my son to see jason isbell acoustic set in december, this will be my 6th time seeing him and i hope and pray he does streetlights and tells that story. my son is in recovery, 6 years clean now, and i have been introducing him to Isbell's music.
Well? We're all interested now in whether you went and if your son (and you and all the family are all OK too) did OK in recovery? I'm asking because I know how tough it is..I know this is 3 yrs late but I hope you see it.
@@brazenlilhussy5975 we have seen him a few more times since then. everyone is doing well. thank you. my son is doing amazing, successful and thriving.
@@letstalktruecrime01 That's absolutely fantastic. It's great to hear some good success stories here..we all like Isbell for a lot of different reasons, for me it's the lyrics most of the time..he writes what he knows about and it seems like he's just like us all...tryina figure this world out. Its brilliant to hear your son is doing well, thanks for the reply.. All the best from an Irish isbell fan.

Yeah. Wasn't that the tour that he melted faces with Whipping Post?

Streetlights is one of my favourite songs, it was great to hear this story.
So, so good.
thanks for sharing, good to hear some stories behind songs
Have said some day will spend big money to see an artist fo an acoustic show, like Springsteen or Young. I’m saving up for Isbell.
Glad to have the work! Thanks Father God! Keep me busy and out of trouble...:) Great song and well delivered!
Saw him 2 months before this in Reno. Man, lemme tell ya...

Good man yourself 👍
Great show!
So good acoustic!!!
Just saw him in Chicago. If I realized how good he was live, I'd have made the trip to C'dale. My old stomping grounds.
i have heard streetlights at least 44444 times and each time he does that mournful moan/cry near the end, i get all the feelings!!!
Yeah. It's like a kick in the gut.
Just found this. Amazing. Thanks for sharing..
Where the hell was I when he was in my backyard? He puts on a show!
Excellent, thank you for sharing!
He is just brilliant.
I love Street Lights........
The guy is unreal!!
I wish I would've known about this! I would have made the drive from TN for this!
Awesome! I love how he just loves playing his music. What a great story he tells!
What a hidden gem. Loved Danko/Manuel solo acoustic
I just got the chills after the first verse. I thought, “this is all it’s going to be and somehow that’s more than enough.”
Acoustic version of Danko/Manuel... booom!🤘
Can't wait to see this guy when he comes to NYC this coming February!
Streetlights! nice.
