If we miss on Adames and Soto, then IMO I would go after Santander and another frontline starter like a Fried or Burnes. Then IMO I'd do Schmitt at short, Fitz at 2nd and find a bat to fill DH/1st base..
Hey thanks for hopping in here, always have respected the Cardinals organization. I like Contreras but I’m not sure about the fit here. He’s probably too good to be a backup and I just don’t think the Giants are going to want to move off Bailey as the primary starter, given his age and controlled cost. Unless they would plan to have Contreras play something like 1B in addition to C (if he could learn it). I always felt the Giants and Cardinals could be a logical fit for a trade since you guys have some good young position players and the Giants system strength is young pitching.
@@EYDShow yes I have much respect for the Giants Organization I watch them often. Contreras could DH, Catch some and could be molded into a 1st Baseman.
@@teambigv I don't think that would necessarily be a bad move for them at all. It's a good contingency for Bailey and he's still a solid bat for a lineup that needs it.
There are three absolute NEEDS that the Giants have this off-season. #1 NEED is Willy Adames, as he provides a proven high caliber glove at shortstop who is also a legitimate middle of the order bat. #2 NEED is a top tier Ace pitcher, either Snell or Burnes, take your pick. Pairing either of them with Webb at the top of the rotation makes us a formidable opponent for anyone, especially in a playoff series. And the third & biggest NEED, we NEED Juan Soto. Soto would FINALLY give us the top tier free agent signing that we ALWAYS come up short on. He's an everyday Superstar player who is just barely entering his prime. He would put butts in seats & sell a hell of a lot of jerseys. And make no mistake about it, ALL THREE of these must get done. Giants put themselves in this position by signing Chapman to a long term deal, as that move is a "win now" move. Chapman is a good player to be sure, but not even close to being a top tier guy that turns us into a playoff contender, but he is a finishing touch. And if we're waiting on our current prospects & youngsters to develop into those guys, by the time the Giants arecready to become a perennial championship contender then Chapman is well past his prime & dragging us down.
Agree with the first 2, and while I agree they need a player of Soto’s caliber I have almost zero faith in this ownership group being willing to go to the necessary lengths to land him. But I do think they can have a successful offseason to be competitive without him. Also, I’m definitely not suggesting to go full rebuild and youth movement, but they could do that for one season to try to figure out what they currently have internally. That said I’d prefer they do what’s necessary to compete this season, I just don’t want them straddling the fence another year.
I'm not saying he's the answer, but you guys seem to be forgetting that we have another potential power hitter that's already in the team in Jerar Encarnacion.
I did forget about Encarnacion when quickly writing out the roster. As it presently stands he probably would swap with either Matos/McCray. Not a prediction of where they’ll be, just trying to gauge where they’re currently at.
Good point. I’m a big fan of his personally, just not so sure he’s a guy we’d be seeing him as a regular in the lineup. Will definitely depend on who they go out and get in free agency.
He has a big potential. He was killing the Mexican league. At the end he found the rhythm of the pitches being presented to him. All the announcers are left in awe over how hard he hits the ball.
Definitely think that’s a possibility. Guys like Santana, Goldschmidt and Walker could all be in play there. I just don’t want to block Bryce whatever they do.
Just over pay for Soto he’s worth it based on age. Give him a deal ultimatum 630mill 14yr in the visit. Tell him he has until end of the visit to make decision. Can’t go back to yakees tell them offer and they match. Take the deal or no deal. Get an answer fast so they move on to snell and burnes to make power rotation.
Stop with Luciano , Matos etc. The majors is not a developmental league. If they have talent it will be proven in the minors. Luciano never should have been brought up to the majors and that stunted his development. You can argue Ramos should have been brought up earlier BUT he was producing at AAA. If you can’t produce at AAA I AM DOUBTFUL you will produce in the majors. Giants need their minor leaguers to know you y 25:14 produce your way to the majors.
Plenty of teams let young players develop at the major league level. I’m not suggesting letting these guys play everyday in the majors if they actually go out and make moves to win, but if they trot the same crap out they’re better off letting them play. There is nuance to this. Can’t just let Matos rot in Sac until he’s out of options and trade him away for nothing like they did with Bart. Not to mention he’s had plenty of success in AAA. Hopefully he’s working on his approach in winter ball.
Love the content and Info! Thanks guys. 🎉👍Ricky C and Cody hits home-run
Fantastic show fellas…Congrats Cody on 800!!
RF, LF, 3rd and the DH oh and 2 more pitchers for the rotation. Maybe Mike Trout for the DH.

I could live with that lineup for 2025. Hopefully in that scenario Casey builds off his 2024 and turns into a solid player.
Teoscar would work. that lineup would thump.
Cardinals fan here I can see the Giants hooking up on a trade for Wilson Contreras.

I heard someone say if eldridge isnt ready, that we get a stop gap first baseman, like carlos santana type.

Giants stink...
I HATE THE GIANTS AND I WANT YOUR TEAM TO LOSE EVERY GAME THEY EVER PLAY….BUT DODGERS FANS RESPECT SF…..NOBODY RESPECTS SD
I can respect that sentiment. Think most Giants feel the same way towards LA. Appreciate the engagement!
Put on your big boy pants guy! Intelligent input garners much more respect than childish rant. 🤮
I Do not respect your sentiments unlike Cody I am not nice to 🧌 trolls! Put on your big boy pants 👖 use words not rants🎉😂
@@SherriClark-jg9ul you’re obviously a moron given you can’t recognize words were used. Stupid dipshit…how you like them words?
