The part when he visits the giants building for the last time before its being demolished is one of the most nostalgic times you'll ever see bill.
Bring on your wrecking ball...
Yeah it’s incredibly relatable though. Belichick is such a stoic guy it’s strange seeing him get emotional going back “home”
@@Admiral_Ellis the big blue wrecking crew
My favorite scene is when he’s back at the Giants stadium walking through the halls and he gets choked up remembering all the hours he put in as a defensive coordinator for Bill parcels. Just shows you that even the tough times can bring good memories
When he said, “I was just trying to establish my coaching career” that was very relatable to me.
The path to success is full of moments and stories, and “what if” situations
The clip of Bill telling Wes Welker the story about Lou Gehrig never ceases to amuse me….what a way to tell a guy he’s gonna get replaced 💀💀💀
I thought that's what he was getting at, but I was hoping it wasn't.
savage move and i dont think wes even understood at the time.
Bit the players response let Bill know he ain't the guy!! He had no fire in the belly !! He was like okay
Guys. Bill is referring to the punt returning job. Nobody wants the punt return or the kickoff return job lol
He's not saying it as a player at face value 😂😂
The story is apocryphal though, Gehrig had already begun taking time at first regularly. Its not a "get hurt and its over by completely bad luck" thing, it was a "get hurt and we're gonna do what we were doing anyway" thing.
So many Iconic moments just from this season of filming man. Randy getting Bill to go to the Halloween Party is an all time classic
Haha classic moment there

Yeah the disrespect is getting crazy. Brady was great but so was Bill and the last couple seasons don’t change that.

They released it to remind people what an incredible coach he was. Greatest ever if you ask me. Definitely the greatest if you ask anyone even near New England.
That’s wrong actually. New England fans (some) are clowns and give this man no-barely any credit for the dynasty cause of recent years. They don’t know ball frfr, this guy is the goat coach and any legendary qb would’ve been a dynasty with him

IDK How did he do without Brady as his QB?? Secondly, how many SUCCESSFUL coaches came from his tree? NOT MANY
Always respected how Bill went about business in his own way. As a Ravens fan some of the clips from this are iconic especially when Bill and Tom are scheming for Ed.
As a Pats fan, the only team we really respected and knew it was going to be tough every game was the Ravens
I'll miss those battles
Bill called Ed Reed "The greatest free safety he has ever seen". Bill talked about Ed and Ray Lewis like a proud father. Brady and Bill respected those Ed and Ray Ravens teams big time. The Ravens were always the toughest most hard hitting games especially in playoffs!! Going to miss those times!
Legit came to the comments for this moment albeit as a pats fan, it’s like watching Mozart compose one of his symphonies. Beautiful to watch high level minds game planning and respecting the level of talent their opponents have to the point of calling it beautiful and such. Just an awesome moment. Man I just sounded so gay tho.
age does get coaches too. father time always wins. mad respect for what that man did. he should get credit for all the good play of the players over 20 years not named brady. regardless he is the GOAT of coaches. i might see someone like that maybe when im his age, im 24. we should appreciate that we got to see that.
He the GOAT of Super Bowl wins but Paul Brown is the GOAT of coaches for the NFL evening Bill Belichick said it.
@@PillzBerry27He may be the most influential coach in NFL history, but I do take issue with his teams surprisingly lackluster championship play. Every other dynasty dominated in the title.
Every dynasty since the Browns:
- 1960s Packers 5-0 in title games (1961-67)
- 1970s Steelers went 4-0 in Superbowls (1974-1979)
- 1980 9ers went 5-0 Superbowls between '81 & '94.
- 1990 Cowboys went 3-0 in Superbowls between '92 & '95
- Patriots went 6-3 in titles games between 2001 & 2018
Every dynasty between the 60s & 90s dominated in title games, and the Patriots were able to buck that trend, still racking titles despite a few losses. But the Browns didn't win 6 of 9 titles like NE did, but instead lost 4 of 7 between '50 & '58.
It's incredibly impressive to get to 6 straight as they did, and a 7th in '58, but you can't go 3-4 in those games. It would be different if they held a record of 5-2 or 6-1, but they couldn't even win half their title games.
Still up there with the best, but I disagree with Belichick's statement. I'd put Bill, Walsh, and Lombardi ahead.
he gets 0.01%, Brady did the rest 🐐

I respect that bills fan. Go bills. You put football first before team. And even i do that.
Even the best coaches sadly had bad seasons that got them fired. Tom Landry had 3 straight losing seasons from 86 to 88 which ended at 3-13. Landry got canned by Jerry Jones and it needed to be done. Chuck Noll had a 5-11 record in 1991 before he hung it up. Some get lucky to retire like Bill Walsh after his 3rd win in the 88 season. Some do it after a playoff loss like Don Shula in 1995 after a wildcard loss. Still for Beichick the time has passed him. He has no QB and the situation is just getting worse. Patriots just played in Germany where they didnt have a player on the field to return a punt... Bill is a 30% winning coach against winning teams without TB12... Bill has a losing record over a 10 year spand without TB12... Bill did so bad in Cleveland, they moved cities AND changed their name in the dark of night to the Ravens... Bill is a good Defensive coach, that was dragged for 2 decades by the GOAT QB...
For one acting like winning a ton of games during the years you have an elite starter at QB and struggling to win in the seasons where your attempted replacement of that player plays really badly is a new or surprise concept considering it’s how the NFL has worked for all of time. It’s almost like it’s an undisputed fact that the QB position is the most needed and necessary position in the entire sport. Additionally it’s almost also well known that finding a franchise QB is extremely difficult, more top QB draft picks are a bust than long term top level player and that acting like Bill sucks as a coach because the team has struggled after losing Tom out of the blue with zero transition available and they picked the best QB available in the draft to take the spot who was well established to have a very low ceiling. Go take a peek at teams that are consistently winning and notice the pattern for the QB position and so acting like winning at a high pace when you have a franchise QB in place as being dragged would really point to every winning coach being “dragged” because no team has long term high level winning and contend for championships without that piece in place because that’s how the game works.
I also genuinely can’t decide if should find it funny or discouraging that it’s actually possible that you could believe that Modell moving the team was because of Bill but in todays world you can never be too sure. The Modells moved the team because he had a large amount of debts and allowed the city to build a new stadium for the Indians instead of objecting and it led to the stadium he controlled losing a bunch of revenue and putting himself in a poor financial position. The stadium was also really old and falling apart and the city hadn’t been indicating that it was ready to bring a large amount of state funds to perform a major renovation to the old stadium. Meanwhile he and his ownership partner were negotiating with Maryland in secret and were offered a brand new stadium that would be covered by state money, up to $75M a year in seat licensing profits, and the revenue from basically all the revenue generated from the games. And Modell was given a 10% management fee and half the profit of all other events occurring in the stadium. So he could choose to stay in Cleveland, continue playing in an old and decaying stadium, continue to lose money and just hope it’ll get better at some point. Or he relocate and get a brand new stadium for free while getting a seismic portion of all of the revenues that the stadium brings. If one were in a financially troublesome position I wonder which one of those they’d choose? They moved in the middle of the night because Modell had been critical and outspoken for years about teams relocating their teams and had sworn up and down to the fans he woukd never relocate the team. And then he suddenly throws a just kidding their way as he tells them he’s moving the team to Baltimore. And then the referendum he wanted passed to bad, providing what appears to the fans as an option to stay put, he rejects it anyways and says that relationship with the city can’t be fixed. One may argue that there is logic that those events may piss some fans off and that maybe they chose to move at a time where they’d have the lowest chance of a scene or conflict in a city of pissed off fans who feel betrayed and lied to. Or maybe all of those very real things that are common in all franchise moves are bullshit and the real reason they relocated was because Bill did such a bad job (they announced these things right after the team was in the playoffs) that they had to relocate the team in secret. Because god knows Cleveland has never had bad coach’s or teams before and were always in danger.
Talked about not wanting to coach into his 70s at the end... I wonder if he still feels that way now, almost 15 years later

They know the end is near so they putting out the tribute videos now 😢
This is forever my coach
Let's also be honest, many top players hated Bill's bullshit, they put it up because (a) yes they want to win, but also (b) they are playing with Brady and when Brady is taking it in strides, and giving up pay to keep the other players, they are willing to eat it up, too. But without Brady, Bill's not the GOAT.
Bill won 2 superbowls with the giants and was also hated. It’s not just Brady
As a huge Brady fan since I was a kid, I'm not sure Brady would've gotten to where he was either without Bill. I think they were a perfect match that elevated one another.
DC rings LOL Those are Parcells like Pats rings are Belichick, not Patricia,s or McDaniels@@JackycakesV2
Watching Bill be curt with Robert is hilarious.
Its like Bill is the Owner AND Coach and Bob is His Underling😂😂😂😂😂
Honestly, Tom Brady was the face, the heart and soul of the Patriots. Once he left, they were never the same.
I don’t even think Brady would agree with that.
@@michaelterrell5061 Why do you say that?
They had some players from the culture Tom built but now they are all leaving.
@@zoltore23they consistently had some of the best offensive talents and defensive players year after year. acquired big time free agents almost every year. Amendola, LeGarrette Blount, Chris Hogan, Gilmore, Judon, Moss, OchoCinco, etc. Honestly Tom was given countless opportunities by amazing defensives and powerhouse running games. Tom almost has nothing to do with how good they currently are.
normal take from a person who doesn't understand football past a qb box score

Welker says "he can have it man (re: Edelman)
Bill immediately busts his balls "way to compete"....
The greatest coach of all time 🐐
Lombardi>
Mike McDaniel **
Not without the GOAT QB.
Bill IS the Greatest Coach of All Time. Tom I’d the Greatest Player of All Time. Both things are true.

BIGGEST LEGEND IN NFL - BILL BELICHICK!
It was all brady
0 ball knowledge
While I know he isn't the subject of this film, I so very much appreciate NFL Films for the work they do - and in particular - the Lyle Alzado story. I would have never known about him had I not seen his video back in 2014. Excited to watch this one about Mr. B. Thank you, NFL Films!
All honesty I cannot believe the heat he is receiving. Look at the resume. 11-5 record in 2008 No Brady. January 2002 AFC champ game Brady subbed for Bledsoe (injury based yes). 2008 Championship game v Sand Diego 21- 12 Defensive win. 2019 SB win Brady did nothing. 2015 SB yes Brady fired a comeback 4th quarter but Defensive play Butler essentially won that game, which they practiced. The list goes on.
They need to do an update after he won more SBs in the 2010s lol😂!
Your nitpicking is cool, you could make Jef Fisher look great with all that nitpicking. Well, funny Bill is worse than Jeff Fisher without Brady LOL
For anyone wondering, because I was myself. This originally was released September 3rd, 2013.
Freakin awesome film. Idk how the heck I’m just seeing it in 2023.
He’s a good coach he’s just old. Happened to Tom laundry. Happened to bill Walsh. Happens to all the greats the game moves on faster than they can
The actual definition of Don’t stop till you get enough.
Did they wait til a bad season?
I saw this in 2011
21:38-22:25: This Part Got Me😢😢😢😢 That’s how I Felt about My First Job. There’s a Lot of Great Moments that I Still Cherish and Appreciate about it and the People I Worked With (Well Most of Them😂😂😂😂) Those Memories Never Die❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Tb12 made him
Chiefs fan salty that Bill out coached reid in 2018 lmao
He drafted Tb12.
Not really. Brady was just a game manager the first three super bowls
@@josephmartinez4975right a game manager when he made 2 pro bowls, was runner up for mvp in 2003, and won 2 SB MVPs, and carried bad offenses on his back. You sound dumb
13:48 Imagine how good that must make you feel as a player for a legendary coach to notice save and display a good play you did to the team and tell them "you should give teammates like Ty props and support when they do good like this". If someone ever did that for me in just day to day life it would inspire fanatical love and loyalty to that person. What a great coach. LOL 29:37 We'll be friends after the game but for now STFU Mason! haha
Tell me what major success Belichick had as a head coach before Tom Brady became the Patriots starting QB, and what major success he has had since Brady left the Patriots. Now tell me what major success Brady has had since he left the Patriots. I give Belichick all the credit in the World for keeping Brady as the starter after Drew Bledsoe's injury and hiring offensive coordinators who knew how to use Brady. Belichick was handed a gift and didn't screw it up, but that's it.
Let's be real, Bill's GM moves played a crucial role as well. Bill inherited an atrocious Patriot's roster that was full of old dudes. He legit drafted and made FA moves to make the team a dynasty. The first Patriot's ring? Defense and Brady not making mistakes. Future rings? Due to great decision-making by Bill and his staff. Sure, Brady played a critical role, but never forget both times Brady has had a ton of offense around him offensively (first season on Bucs and the 07 season) Brady wasn't what got his teams to the superbowl. Defense carried. Remember the Bucs - Packers game? Remember the Pats - Chargers game? Defense allowed only 12 points in the Chargers game. Defense picked Rodgers off, forced two fumbles, and held the high-powered Packers offense to 26 points - despite Brady throwing 3 ints.
No he got all the Parcells choices@@faveology
@@faveology I'll take you on with all of those lame claims .. Point by Point.
