You SIR are very AWESOME ! Rewinding ANY weed eater spool one chamber line at a time is a PAIN and being able to FEED through and wind it so that you're winding both at once is VERY convenient ! I found that about 24' (feet) of the .095 thickness is about the perfect length to wind both top and bottom at the same time ! Again THANKS for this video it's gonna save me a bunch of time rewinding the spool !
Thanks, i never put too much trimmer line in my heads as it adds more weight and can slow the head down. so I only reload 2/3rds or 3/4 full worth of line. 👍
Great tip, never thought of that as I use this head on a daily basis. It's a good head, only complaint is I find it wears a bit quick after taping excessively but other than that it's a good product. I myself find the vortex line a lot better than the Stihl line, it's stronger and cuts the grass very well. Again, thanks for the tip my man...
It is a good head, doing this makes it bump easier as well, also make sure your line cutter is nice and sharp so its cuts easily and therefore you will be doing less bumping 👍 vortex line is good but not as cheap as a bulk reel of stihl line 😅
@@RJLmachinery if you need to work you will care, buy cheap head where you place wire yoursepf and it works 20years this sont work even 6 months. It just made to brake.

Thanks for addressing this issue. My Stihl was new last year, and it’s so stiff, I could hardly wind it. I will try this when I run out of line again.
Good luck with it, cheers 👍
@@RJLmachinery your advice worked great! It works much more smoothly. Thank you again!
@@murlthomas2243 👌
Thanks. Just had some issues with our new head yesterday. Makes sense it’s only a cleaning and lube issue
cheers, you only need to do this every once in awhile 👍
that really helped me! Thanks!!!!
Glad to hear it 👍
Thank You!

Mine is stuck when turning after I put the string through it. It like lockes up but if it take the black cover off it it rotates just fine
Have you got the older model of this head? make sure the line is wound the right way.
@@RJLmachinerywhat u mean by that
@@JustinEvans-ij2kp I didnt understand what you meant by the black cover bit? You have this model in video?
a better fix is to just buy an echo speedfeed 400 head lol
Na, i can get 2 of these for the price of one speedfeed, and its not twice the product in my eyes.
Complete garbage stihl product
I dont mind it
