  • When a new product is introduced to me, I like to share it. this video will simply explain how to install the Stihl C 26-2 weed eater head onto you weed eater. no this item is suppose to eliminate the string getting stuck in the spools by simply running the line directly through the Auto feeder. I'll do a separate video on that. I'll include a link to this item. www.amazon.com...

    I really appreciate you going to the effort to show me how that locking plate works. Most guys just show you how to jam something in there, but you made it all make sense. Thanks for the extra knowledge.

    I took about 10 feet of tangled orange line off my new head, replaced it with slightly larger yellow line. Went on with some aggravation. It seemed to work ok, but after a while the head was unbalanced because again, oi ne side was feeding. I hate this trim head. I'm going back to my head that uses the white knives and a foot long strand with a knot tied in the middle. I dont cut manicured lawns- I cut wild areas that are dominated with stubborn weeds.

    No need to grease as it’s a sealed bearing. All your going to do by adding grease is trap a load of rubbish causing friction and heat.

    • @BYDonBermudaGrassCentral
      @BYDonBermudaGrassCentral  2 года назад +1

      Totally disagree. There is a grease fitting near the tip. I’ve had this weed eater head combo unit since 1998. This is why most landscapers burn the head up in about 5 years. They need fresh grease yearly. They even sell the lube that literally screws right into it.

  • @OpaKnows
    @OpaKnows Год назад +1

    Yeah, so a couple things wrong with this video, but “righty tighty, lefty loosey” is wrong in this case. Looks like it’s reverse thread, so counter clockwise actually tightens it, as opposed to the conventional clockwise tightening. If you’re going to try to teach folks something, try to get the details right.
