    THANK YOU! I saw the 'STHIL' video, they failed to show you all what you showed me, especially the 'push in/and turn'. Though the 'instructions' said up to 23 ft, so when I fed it through, it was about 22', then stopped taking the line. My yard looks MUCH BETTER. GOD BLESS YOU.

    Excellent straightforward video. I ran out on my first spool at a customers house, and couldn't remember how to reload (purchased last season near the end of the year). Ultimately, he offered, so I used his trimmer to finish the job . Three yards to do today, this was a life-saver.

    Thanks, your video was a lifesaver and a frustration buster. I toiled for two hours to install a new line in my C26 -2. Didn't help that I misplaced my owner's manual. I've found using a trimer line one size smaller than the maximum works the best. Again, thanks for your help.

    I’m in Australia and every video that came up on Google and RUclips was for a different head, and the Stihl videos weren’t any good. Yours was the only one that made sense, so thanks! Also these electric ones are far superior to the 2-stroke Sthil I’ve had for years for a quarter acre block.

    Don't need to kink the line. Just pull the line through until the two ends meet. Tip: If you put your line in water for 24 hours and grease the walls where the line wraps around it helps when tapping the head to feed the line hence less binding.

    Thank you. But you said to get more str ing to come out, you press the head. At the end of seemed to me your ends were too short and I was waiting for you to press the head to pull out. But no. And in the comments you say you have to hit the head on the ground (as usual). Well I used this year yesterday for the first time and had to keep stopping to see if there was any line left. And once the line disappeared inside it wasn't coming out again. If I could get an Echo to fit the Stihl I'd maybe try that. Yeah I know you can get adapters but I'd rather but in shop in case ofproblems and my shop doesn't sell the head with adapters. So I'm stuck with this -- yet another disappointment .Glad it's good for some people though! Thanks.

    • @ApacheRanch
      @ApacheRanch  2 года назад +1

      When I use mine, I cut with it until I can sense (through sound and visually the way it is cutting) that the ends of the line are broken off, and then I just bump it and keep moving on. You hear it spill out some more line, you see that the cutting improves, and you continue. I don't see any reason to be stopping to look at the line. I don't ever stop spinning the head to look at the line. Am I missing something? I find that this trimmer head works great - I don't have any complaints about it.

      Might not be lined up exactly. Or crud in there or line. You can split apart the head and clean that out. Pops open pretty easy. Thanks for your comment.

      1. Put small screwdriver in hole on top of head to lock the head from spinning.
      2. Turn head clockwise (looking at head from bottom). Note: Threads are reversed. Turn until it comes off.
