First, I never thought I would be tearing up to a braiding video but here we are. The amount of grace and patience that you were able to portray in this video was a surprise gut punch for me. I absolutely loved this tutorial. For years I've tried to learn how to do my kids' hair and learn different protective styles but this was the first time that someone was able to explain it slowly and in a way that made sense and didn't come off as dismissive. It got to a point where I pretty much gave up and just started paying people to do their hair. However since the pandemic I've started to try again and I'm just grateful that I found your video as it's definitely given me some hope.

My cousins always did my braids. I never bothered to learn. When i moved away from that I suddenly needed to learn how to do it myself. Braiders are too expensive. Sometimes they work from home and I'm really not comfortable with that (cause they tend to get too comfortable and act unprofessional). And I've seen truly slovenly "salons".This is the first braiding tutorial that made it clear to me. Mind blown. Thanks my friend
