I've been ready to cry at all the people finally able to cornrow their daughter and sons hair. I'm so proud and thankful y'all are taking time to learn; this means a lot to me!

I've been trying to learn this for years. This is my first time watching a video made by you which came up on my timeline. I only viewed four minutes of your explanation before trying and I now have the knowledge and experience of completing a "good, clearly observerable" corn roll several times over. Thank you for making this video!!!

Im almost crying, too! She really broke it down to a way I've never heard before. It's very unsettling to be at the mercy of others just to get your hair done sometimes. I happen to be white and have headaches when my hair is not tight. Many braiders near me prefer not to do white hair, so I usually have to. This is going to be a BIG help to me, and I am very happy for you also. I can't believe how emotional I got over this. It is remarkable how she taught this, and I've been braiding all my life. It's just harder on yourself.

    Let me tell you something...
I'm 25 yrs old and could never cornrow anyone's hair, let alone my own. I have hairstylists in my family that have tried teaching me and nothing! I've watched countless RUclips videos trying to learn and I just couldn't get it, so I gave up. Just thought that it wasn't meant for me to learn. Then your video popped up on my feed the other night so I watched it and saved it. The next day I washed my 5year old daughter's hair, played your video, and followed along. And I DID IT!!! I actually managed to get four cornrows on her head. I nearly cried because I could only do boxbraids before and now the possibilities are just endless. To be honest, not being to cornrow made me feel like less of woman 😔 but the way you explained and demonstrated it was so clear. Girl!!! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, sending you a big ol' hug!!! Bless!!🙏🏽♥️♥️

Im almost 60 years old, and I've been braiding my own hair since 5th grade. I've always had a feeling there was an easier, more efficient way to do it because I taught myself to French braid when my friend told me just to braid regular, but add hair as you go. After watching and listening to you, it was incredibly clear to me that the goal is to always reach for the outside hair. I know it may sound simple, but this is a complete game changer for me. I am dyslexic and have only been able to braid while pacing the floor to distract myself from thinking too much. With this little tip, you shared, and the way you explained it will prove to give HUGE results for me. You truly are Dope af. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Thank you beauty!!! 🎉😂

My apologies in advance if this is too much ~
I’m no creep, no nut job, not a freak, not a stalker, and MOST certainly; NOT A TROLL.
What I 'Am', is a Woman of God who sees beauty (timeless beauty non the less) all throughout this Gorgeous Earth. . . Here, as I read I come across this almost unbelievable comment, to which is yours Thompson. 51, if I wasn’t a believer in Jesus Christ and God our Father; I would be commenting to say you’re full of pookie, no lie!!! I pray to the Good Lord above for Him to bless me with a IMPECCABLE beauty such as your own (in my own way of course). Not trying to look just like you, I just want to "look just like you." Ya know what I’m saying!? You’re effortlessly ageless Darling.
I had to say a little somethin’ somethin’, just encase you were not made aware, or haven’t been made aware!!
Once again, I’m not creeping, I’m not peeping, I’m not trolling and I’m not judging. I’m full heartedly admiring and complimenting you, Ms. Thompson. 🌸🙏🏽
      Take care. God Bless!

You are very detailed and straightforward and I’ve seen so many other tutorials on cornrow but still couldn’t get it. My gratitude for you is out of this world. I’ve been wanting to learn how to cornrow since I was young because I was never able to. My mother was too busy to teach me. I decided to go on RUclips (I recently got a mannequin head so I could practice doing hair) and I’ve been trying to do cornrow but kept failing repeatedly. I looked at many tutorials but they wouldn’t help me and it only led me to be more frustrated. It’s because of this video I finally grasped the concept of cornrow. I’m coming back to show this video some love because I was able to roughly put my hair in two cornrows or French braids after watching dozens of how to braid videos. I started practicing during quarantine and by the end of the year my hair wasn’t as badly damaged and I was able to retain a little length. I kept coming back to this video and eventually it clicked. My braids aren’t the best looking but now I’m confident enough to wear them out. 💜
