This video is a gem! The large braid size makes it easy to see. I was turning my hand and breaking up the cornrow, because I was so used to plaiting in the other (underhand?) direction. Thanks for taking the time to make this tutorial.

Hey Y’all in the comments, I recommend having a mannequin or using someone to practice while you’re watching her video so that you can place your hands the same way she’s places her hands and braid when she braids. The video is very detailed but it’s easy to forget where to place what piece of hair if you’re not watching and doing it at the same time. Great video!!!!! Detail, the slowness of ur movements & the thickness of the braid is definitely a 100!! Many videos people are braiding too fast and braid is too tiny to see what’s going on.

This might be a dumb question, especially coming from a white girl, but is it better to start practicing on a mannequin rather than yourself for things like this? I’m just getting into doing my hair so it’s all new to me but so pretty!!!
