My BFF had this double diagnosis with sciatica and recently underwent surgery. They "installed" two metal spacers between her vertebrae. I'm worried this was an overreaction since she went to a pain clinic only. A little PT and two shots didn't help her feel better. I wish she would have seen this video first. I'm hoping for her sake the surgery will solve her pain, but she's still recovering so I don't know yet. It just seemed drastic and invasive to me.
I have exactly what they’re explaining..herniations in my L5-S1, T9 and T10. I have stenosis and “spondy” at the L5-S1, and it’s a daily pain in the ass. Quite literally. Even more of one to explain to someone who doesn’t understand why I …”don’t just go to a chiropractor”?.. One of them gave me a year of adjustments when I was need of a discectomy.
Hey Henry, how old are you? (as you mentioned you have stenosis). Also, how are your symptoms now? Did you get surgery done or are following a conservative treatment? Asking this because I have been suffering from chronic lower back, hip, and leg pain for the last 4 months myself. Althoug taking anti-inflammatory medicines and B12 injections has a helped with pain in the last two weeks.
hello, i had cancer and stopped walking for almost one year and since then my calves have been getting weaker and i cant really lift my bodyweight is there any way to build strength that don't involve your own weight??
You can do water therapy/physical therapy pools. It helps you gain back muscle and balance without using your body weight. It is the easiest on your body and you are able to add ankle weights or even arm weights as you build your muscles back up. You start out slow and the the water is set at a certain temperature so it isn't too hot nor too cold. I hope that you will consider this option as well. Have a blessed day!
Vibration plate therapy. They have come waaay down in price as decent knockoffs are available on amazon. All you do is turn it on, stand on it for 15 minutes/day. Done. If very weak, start by sitting in chair, resting feet on the vibration plate. Developed to rehab astronauts, they lose a ridiculous amount of muscle being in zero G.
Hi guys, thank you for your videos. I'm looking to see if you have a video for post cervical discectomy surgery as a family member having this surgery next week. What can he do in the weeks, months to come? Thank you in advance.
Is there an age restriction to this inversion table? I am 59 years old and have a table like that at home. Tried it a few times and didn't feel any relief - especially not immediately. I did however have problems with my circulatory system coming back up from about a 45 degree angle. Oh, I have a scoliosis in the thoracic area, a disc prolaps L3L4 with a spine stenosis and nerve root aggravation and a disc prolaps at L5S1 with a stenosis. Thanks for your time - you are the greatest
Unbearable pain. I'm a disabled combat Vietnam veteran, '68. Helicopter crashes and hard landings never helped. I wish my therapist had known about these exercises. Eaglegards...
I do the decompression using the corner of kitchen benchtops. I have impingement in the right shoulder and it doesn't hurt to lift my bodyweight but hanging is definitely not possible.
If after 6 months of regular dedicated exercises, there is no improvement, is surgery the only option left? I don't have acupuncture available where I live.
oh Simone...i would never ever revommend back surgery...ive never seen anyone really really happy with the result...it can be devastating & permanent....so i would do..try. everything else first....in the water etc
I have both with severe nerve pain. It doesn’t feel like the sciatica pain I’ve had numerous times. I can’t get insurance because it is too expensive and I don’t qualify for state insurance. I was supposed to go see a neurosurgeon this month but had to cancel due to no insurance.
I have 3 bulging discs on L3 L4 and S1. I have stenosis, spondy, sciatica, neuropathy and carpal tunnel in both wrists so is there an alternative to that ezcersize you first did on the floor? So, the liquid that always forms around my knees is from what from? The same as what is in the disc?
I would think that once you are done with traction/decompression, gravity would take over again and your spine will return to its original shape🤔. Right?
Good question. I can't answer for anyone else, but it has done that with my spine. I had complete relief when I was going to pain management and they would do the traction/decompression with a machine while strapped to it and it would slowly stretch my spine out. But when it would slowly make my spine go back to its normal position (when the time was up) the excruciating pain would come back before it completed the duration of therapy. I had this done a few times a week for a couple of years, and then, off and on over the years. I'm still at square 1 with my hips and spine, sadly. I just really hope that there are people out there that have truly benefited from this and are doing quite well. Have a blessed day!
I have a pull-up bar and after I decompress my leg and back pain is virtually nonexistent until I either sit down or pan forward and reach down such as to pick something up off the floor or lean over and reach down to brush my dog. I feel great early in the day, by end of day the leg pain from sitting or leaning down gets unbearable so I have to constantly decompress
I have 3 bulging discs and 1 protruding disc(not sure what the difference is?), with spinal stenosis. I'm in agony most of the time. My job has me on my feet for 8+ hours) the physical therapy helps but it's such a temporary relief (seconds or If I'm lucky minutes) need help!
I now have both too: grade 1 spondy, in L4-5 and mild bulge in L4-5 . Went to a spine specialist. He has me on a 6 week conservative program: weeks 1 and 2 are meds only (Celebrex, muscle relaxant, and something from nerve pain). Weeks 3 and 4 are meds and PT. Weeks 5 and 6 are PT only. Just started yesterday. How did your condition turn out?
@@BobandBrad how can someone who has chronic pain from sciatica do these exercises? I was diagnosed with bulging disc and canal stenosis and the pain is debilitating 😢
I'm 25 years old and have been experiencing lower back pain after working on construction. Last week I went to work with lower back pain and pushed through the whole day with it. After the long day of shoveling cement I could barely walk during the night because the pain got insanely worse. Woke up the next day the pain was still there and I had a lateral shift and I have been working on it for a week with some specific exercises and it has gotten better the pain and the shift. Now I have a bit of a pain on the front and opposite side of the shift, maybe the hip flexors IDK. Anyone know or have experienced this that can help me?
I have been thinking and the exercises I have been doing the most is side glide standing to correct my lateral shift and maybe that's what's causing the muscles in that area to hurt. Can anyone tell me if this happened to any of you?
Maybe you have tight muscles. Did you try the decompression exersizes? That helped me for a bit but it felt weird. I used my bed for this. I layed on my stomach and drooped my head over the edge. I felt gravity stretch out my back. The pain went away 2 days later. Chiropractor said i had 2 pinched discs.
Nothing had worked for me i have a herniated disc and the worst pain in my lower leg (pinched nerve) every exerise is painful i have to go surgery my worst nightmare i never thought i had to consider sugery
i have that pain in the left buttock lower back pain i have 2 bulging disc L6 and L7 do bulges get better? it's been a year and i still hurt it start with a pinch nerve in the neck and i had tingling down my left arm and two fingers tingling has stopped and i'm having lower pain now
Water therapy/PT pools are the best when it comes to the old and the young alike. Almost effortless movements, exercise and strengthening without using your full body weight and is very easy on your spine and muscles and allows you to build up stamina, muscles and balance at a slower pace...if need be. I hope this helps with finding an option that you will benefit from like it has done for me over the years (even helped my grandmother after having both knees replaced and post-op rehabilitation from spinal stenosis). Have a blessed day and take care!

This chainsaw worked well to cut up a pile of cedar logs ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and stumps. I used it to cut 12"-16" diameter logs and a handful of odd-shaped stumps that were larger in diameter. There was more than enough power even when using 2x100' extension cords. Be sure to use the right gauge extension cord, since you should be using a slightly higher gauge cord than the standard extension cord most folks have around the house. My 2 favorite features of this saw over previous ones I've used are the built-in sharpener and the quick stop after the the throttle is released compared to a gas-powered chainsaw. As soon as you release the trigger, the chain stops spinning immediately because of the electric motor. Standard feature of most of these electric chainsaws, but worth mentioning here for anyone not familiar with it.Bottom line...I needed a chainsaw to get through some backyard cleanup of logs and tree stumps. For the price of renting a chainsaw for a few days, I got this Oregon chainsaw that got the work done, and now I own it for future use.

@@gauravsaxena8816 I was 32 when I had the surgery back in 2008, but I had the pain since I was a teenager.
@@georgehenry76 oh my god! After surgery, has everything been okay so far?
Great!! Thanks so much for this 👍😊
hello, i had cancer and stopped walking for almost one year and since then my calves have been getting weaker and i cant really lift my bodyweight
is there any way to build strength that don't involve your own weight??
Seated calf raises.add weight onto your lap as you get stronger 3×10.hope it helps
Water therapy in a pool!!
Is there a discount code for the Teeter ? Thank you. 1/4/2022.
What happens if any type of decompression causes much more pain
Had 8 surgery’s 6 inch rods, and whole back fused. Can I use this table to stretch out on?
Unbearable pain. I'm a disabled combat Vietnam veteran, '68. Helicopter crashes and hard landings never helped. I wish my therapist had known about these exercises. Eaglegards...
Wishing you getting better and happy thanksgiving on coming
Have you tried vibration plate therapy?
@@keralee Thxz. No. I'll look.
I do the decompression using the corner of kitchen benchtops. I have impingement in the right shoulder and it doesn't hurt to lift my bodyweight but hanging is definitely not possible.
I'm in the pool alot to do water aerobics and swim. I hang on a noodle and just let my legs hang down. Is this good?

My MRI shows desiccated disc and disc bluge reported with neuroforminal stenosis L4-L5. Will these excercise help me ?
Did anything help you
It is crazy I have bulging disc, spondy and stenosis. Hope this helps 🤞
If after 6 months of regular dedicated exercises, there is no improvement, is surgery the only option left? I don't have acupuncture available where I live.
Just go with surgery I've had this 15 years pain never stops now I'm fighting for surgery cause I'm fucking done lol
oh Simone...i would never ever revommend back surgery...ive never seen anyone really really happy with the result...it can be devastating & permanent....so i would do..try. everything else first....in the water etc
Read Back mechanic, by prof.stu McGill ,saved me. Surgery not good...
@@sdhaynes69 it seems having an inversion table really helps a lot of people. inverting every day is important from what i am hearing here.
@sdhaynes69 I just received the book. I have started reading and sooo far .... stretching and posture is KEY
I have all this except, stenosis etc, but I've got retrolisthesis instead of spondy, am I still OK to do these exercises? Thanks Brad xx
How about swimming? In your opinion
I have both with severe nerve pain. It doesn’t feel like the sciatica pain I’ve had numerous times. I can’t get insurance because it is too expensive and I don’t qualify for state insurance. I was supposed to go see a neurosurgeon this month but had to cancel due to no insurance.
I have degenerative discs, spinal stinks is, etc anything to help
I have 3 bulging discs on L3 L4 and S1. I have stenosis, spondy, sciatica, neuropathy and carpal tunnel in both wrists so is there an alternative to that ezcersize you first did on the floor? So, the liquid that always forms around my knees is from what from? The same as what is in the disc?
How many reps or how long would you recommend doing the decompression exercise with the two chairs ?
Will you show how to hopefully heal herniated C3,4,5,6 and 7?
I don’t have pain going down the leg. It seems to be in the front of my thigh At first it it was painful but now just feels weird sometimes spongee
I imagine that a spinal fusion would be a contraindication to decompression?
Nice GODBLESS 👻❤️👍
I don’t see the discount code for the Teeter. Any help?
I am single 30 years and I have disc bulge and spine canal stenosis , should I get married with this condition I'm really confuse n worried
What is the discount code?
How did he hurt his back?
I have a pull-up bar and after I decompress my leg and back pain is virtually nonexistent until I either sit down or pan forward and reach down such as to pick something up off the floor or lean over and reach down to brush my dog. I feel great early in the day, by end of day the leg pain from sitting or leaning down gets unbearable so I have to constantly decompress
When you lean forward try to hinge from your hip. Keep your back perfectly straight.
Good luck!
Bob
I have 3 bulging discs and 1 protruding disc(not sure what the difference is?), with spinal stenosis. I'm in agony most of the time. My job has me on my feet for 8+ hours) the physical therapy helps but it's such a temporary relief (seconds or If I'm lucky minutes) need help!
Hey Chris, how are you now? Did anything like physio or anti NSAID work? Please share your experience.
I have the combination. Hurts so bad.
Hopefully this will help!
What if you have no disc?
Question: my rib cage sticks out all the time why is that?
Check excersises for si joints.
Nothing had worked for me i have a herniated disc and the worst pain in my lower leg (pinched nerve) every exerise is painful i have to go surgery my worst nightmare i never thought i had to consider sugery
I hope you are well now... any updates you want to share with us
I've been told my Stenosis was hereditary even though I played football from 9-20yrs of age.
When I use my Teeter I hang upside down at about 80° for 5 to 10 minutes and when I get off I have pain around my tailbone and I don’t understand it
i have that pain in the left buttock lower back pain i have 2 bulging disc L6 and L7 do bulges get better? it's been a year and i still hurt it start with a pinch nerve in the neck and i had tingling down my left arm and two fingers tingling has stopped and i'm having lower pain now
Hope your feeling better
I hope you're okay, try crawling?
Are there options for older/weaker clients for decompression that don't include inversion table?? Thanks
@@quebie77 thanks for your reply ann. Swimming is fantastic, good idea. Ive just graduated University and always looking to expand my knowledge with the tools I have to help clients.

try diet
I have both issues
I use anti-gravity boots and hang upside down from my feet.
The guy in the back looks bored and out of place just waiting patiently
What if the child's pose makes the sciatica pain shoot down the leg
don't do it

These guys are going from a minor first injury hit long term! They do not state that! If you did this to a person with long term back issues it will cause you to have a trip sit A&E so get to right boys thanks! Ps my surgeon doesn’t recommend this at all!

Thank you
