    I am a retired PT of 42 active years. The flexion or reversing the lumbar lordosis opens the spinal canal that is getting choked off. These patients do well with sitting and slouch sitting that kills discogenic patients.
    The surgery for stenosis is pretty successful as compared to other back surgeries.

    I'm so happy to see both of you here. I appreciate the challenges and perhaps apprehension - but you're such an amazing team and you're both so loved and adored by your fans. Plus way to help making such conditions more visible and normalized. My stepfather is struggling with advancing Parkinson's, and the lack of understanding is one of the the most heartbreaking challenges he faces.

    I saw an exercise physiologist and he told me to keep the toes pointing inwards while doing the one where she is standing and moving her leg in and out 15 times. It puts a little more effort into the muscles you use.

    I am still so glad, I have kept watching the Bob + Brad videos, having had chronic Back, Hip, and Knee Pain for +25 Years, after 4 separate accidents, with minimal clinical investigations having ever been done ( other than very irregular Corticosteroid Injections, and massive quantities of Pain-killers ( the all too normal answer for our medical system )). I too have started doing these exercises, while they will never fix the issues, they sure DO help make a difference. I have received far more help by watching Bob + Brad than I would do from our own medical services.

    Excellent video and the first time I've seen these exercises for stenosis, was diagnosed 9 years ago but it's in my medical records from 2004. I was only 30 then! Where are these Dr's in the UK? I had a phone appointment with a physio, that's right, about as useful as having a massage over the phone! Anyway, her advice was to keep taking naproxen and get pills for my stomach. I thought part of the reason you see a physio is to take as few pills as possible. Something needs done in the UK and it needs done quickly

      I hear ya! It's about £40 for a private physio appointment if that's any good to you. The NHS physio was useless, the phone appointment made me tell them to forget it

    ps: when sitting, especially for long periods, always spread those little cheekies just like you were sitting in a saddle on a horse. Amazing the difference it makes.

    I will try these. I have some stenosis as well as a disc problem, and potentially periformis syndrome. So I've had all sorts of back pain. A week ago, my lower back froze up as I was getting out of the car, and I ended up having to use a walker for the rest of the day. It was the worst pain I've ever experienced. It didn't affect my legs, so I'm assuming it was muscular, triggered by something. I couldn't even do any back exercises for about a day, but I was able to have some massage therapy, which relaxed the muscles. So after a week of massage therapy and exercises I knew about, I'm doing great. But I will add the exercises in the video to my routine.

    Hi, I am just 17 years old and I’m facing this problem from last seven
    I have sciatica and stenosis at the same
    I want to continue my studies, but I am just lying on bed from last seven months. I’m not able to walk not able to stand. I finally leave and I said I know that I am in chronic condition. I think a flexion exercises will help me in this problem but oh my God, my parents are going for my surgery in next month. I am very much concerned about that because There is no way back from a surgery right and I have also heard that surgery opens door for hundreds of more surgeries. So I don’t want that I am so confused because my parents want good for me they want that I live my life fully because it’s my life I just started And I don’t want to live like where I am not able to walk not able to stand my parents also want me to stand straight to walk without thinking of pain
    God, helping God

I cannot even do TP exercises first thing in the morning but can usually sort of walk with a stick by 3 p.m. Since it takes 6+ hours to somewhat recover from having lain supine in sleep at night, should I set the alarm clock to awaken me every couple of hours during the night to get up and move around a bit?

    What if the slouch forward causes pain and you’ve been diagnosed with stenosis

    • @lep8622
      @lep8622 8 месяцев назад

      Stenosis causes a lot of chain reactions in the back hip and leg. From experience you have to go with the flow.. if bending forward is currently causing pain like I had. When the pt switched my exercises from Extension to Flexion got me on the right track.
