I graduated with a Associate degree in animation at my local college and we never learned how to create animation at this level. I want my money back now.
That's called education inequality.
these are probably works of students with 3 full years of animation modules. i do teach and cover introductory animation in media asset creation module for digital media design degree and my students expect to do such animation works after just one such module ...
@@xthene I believe the aim of my local college was to teach the tools; Maya, Max, some modeling, some texturing, some lighting, and some animation. If we wanted to master in a single area, we needed to learn and practice on our own and build the skill.
@@rogue7536 Yeah. Those local animation colleges/schools prepare you with all those softwares. Schools like AM, Animschool etc. teach specifically animation...thus the students also come out with top notch animation.
They always said "YOU NEED TO EXPLORE AND ENHANCE YOUR SKILLS TO ACHIEVE THAT"

The animations are spot on, but the rendering... Wow!!! The lights, the textures, it's amazing!!!!
this is an animation course, how do they get such nice environments and renders?
From what I heard, they have their own vfx team that renders the students animations.
Besides being featured in the student showcase, chosen shots are lit, set, and rendered by professionals. It's part of the fun! :)

This is awesome man!! You know what im a CGI student, daily i attend school by watching youtube tutorials and reading pdf as my lessons. Luckily i managed to create simple animations for my RUclips channel, i know they are no where near from being best but as far as i can explain they are somehow good, watchable and they motivates me to continue learning. Can't wait to create cool stuffs.
I bet it's very very tough to add all the best shots of the year in this 4.42.

You're correct, it's so difficult to narrow down showcase shots and it feels like it gets harder every year! We do our best, but there's definitely amazing student work not represented here. We're able to share even more student work on our social media channels, so keep an eye out for additional awesome shots :)

I wish to go animation school but my parents think its a waste of my time :(
You can always try online workshops or schools (like Animation Workshop). They're far less expensive than animation schools. An online course could also be a good sell for your parents since it's not only way cheaper but also not super long. You could sell your parents on trying an animation course or workshop to see how well it goes and at the end of it you'll have results that may convince them more.
