"Look we're not mean, we just dont want you to be yourself. In any way." lmao
Duaa S
Thats totally mean lol
+Gautam Kulkarni it was said in one of the clips in this video
Where can I find the full clip it seems so funny and well made
It's a line from the series New Girl haha
Way to use New Girl audio, that was so good! :D
Some of these look like they are coming straight out of a Pixar movie great stuff! I'm learning right now and aspire to reach this level of talent.
crazy13320 youre learning where?
I'm learning myself as a side hobby. I'm actually majoring in computer science.
Be careful of the word master. No one has mastered it.
That's a bit of an exaggeration. But some of them are indeed pretty good and those people might one day work at pixar
Ricky Independent ftw ;)
This is extremely high quality stuff as far as student level work goes
Shimer and shine
where's the first animations? I mean, the low quiality? :3 ?
I swear, these people freaking DESERVE jobs at a top-grade animation studio!
I know I’m super late but Animation Mentor is an online program where people who are in the Industry tutor and teach animation and these are the works the students accomplished under their tutorship ^^
they pay 2500$ for per course you know?
3:56 is my favorite one! All the "face and body" expresions deserve an aplause.👏
Honestly I keep playing it over and over
Yea!!
4:00
ruclips.net/video/9Ac-ZSu3bJU/видео.html
The dialogue at 2:30 has such good face expressions. Really well made.
It’s from Parks and Rec btw, so I was so FRIKIN exited when I saw that animated
AnimatedArt 1818 what episode
Michael Smith uhh I DONT remember, I just know that it was where Andy and April are already married...
Did slama cow made that?
1:58 wow that is Pixar professional level quality right there.
More of a good 3D animated tv show
I love the one at 1:58, it looks like it's from a real movie.
I. F. K. R.?!
Magalí Fernández f ? What does that mean
I fucking know right
no i mean what you said?
it reminds me of the tv show New Girl. She sounds like Jess
01:59 I want to see a full movie of this
Same
Kates Fantasies well the audio is a clip from New Girl so just watch that lol
Eleanor Scott but I want their version :(
It’s a series on Netflix. It’s not a cartoon though.
Kates Fantasies Me too.
4:27...Simple joke, but the delivery is now stuck in my head all day. That was just flat out funny.
@@gabejones8112 wow, that was funny
It's Jim Carrey
lol that chicken dance
Germany is the best
The dialogue wasnt original but the animation was great
@@ilax3071 Wheres the dialogue from?
Spider Ace new girl
@@toshinouu3306 thanks!
i would love to see a movie with her 3:56
very funny and full of expression
SAME
I can't stop replaying it
The next one, too. Very good.
"How's life treating you?"
1:29
😂😂😂😂😂😭
"Some kids just dont like their heads to be licked" wha- what?
Embyempire the word some says it all. do kids really like being licked in the head like really 🤔🤔
Dude animation mentors seems to produce the best graduate work out there .
The girl at 3:56 ♥♥♥♥♥ Freaking great job.
"What did I tell you about licking kids heads?"
(Sigh) "Don't do it."
"I mean, I know they taste great, but really?"
Lol.
Alejandro Garcia lol, I would be concerned! What if he was becoming a _whispers: cannibal._
You got the last part wrong😃
@@adreamerstea471 stfu 😃
that one with chicken dance is so cooo!!!
Waltz Lion ikr XD
I liked the pedalboat sailor! Would love to see more of that one. The chicken dance one was also pretty hysterical!
I know! Those were also some of my favorites. The chicken dance clip's dialogue is actually from an episode of the show "New Girl".
My favourite was the ninja because of the cube jump.
The pedalboat sailor scene was from spaceballs
The voiceacting was great
Yeah it’s really nice !
really like the chicken dance one very nicely done
2:42 The internet is a scary place, kids.
Oh man, the chearleader's acting was hilarious and I love the old man and the stereo gag, well done everyone!
ruclips.net/video/9Ac-ZSu3bJU/видео.html
1:58 thats so good. Sounds like an actor playing the role
The last one, with a bit more practice such as making it more of a slimey realistic texture(Which it does kind of do) and fixed the teeth could probably animate movies like Godzilla and add 3d models to real action films, can't wait to see some of these animators names in movies and shows.
I don't know if you know this, but this is an animation class, not a material and texture class.
lol 3:53 that stutter though.
was it intentional?? lol
did you see his arm pit through that shirt?
Oh my god I died at the part with the kid and the mom yelling at him a bout licking kids heads
Most of these should be developed into short films, feature lengths even.
Just mindblowing.
1:32 how is it called, that shading style?, i know its now cel shading.
3:32 totally got that idea from the Incredibles
The chicken dance was funny af hahaha
But what about the environmental modeling? like that room with the gay couple, or the english accent scene? is it all made by the students? and the rotoscopy of the filmed scene of the monster in the city? how was that done?
Jesús Dawaher Bakhos the English accent scene is from the show Parks and Rec. I think there are a couple other clips that they animated from tv/movies too.
Angela Inman The chicken dance is from New Girl
none of these answer this person's questions, but i'll try my best to answer, as i am taking animation courses at a different online school.
usually, when you are in a 3D animation class or any class dedicated to making an animation as your final project, the students in that class don't have time to model and rig all the characters and model the environments. sometimes they will bring over characters and environments from previous classes, or download free ones off the internet. now, i'm not sure what class these were made in, but if it were a class where you worked as a team, there would be a character designer, character modeler/rigger, environment designer, environment modeler, and an animator (or a few), along with storyboard artists, editors, maybe prop designers/modelers, ect, though seeing as there is just one name for crediting each animation, they were most likely all made by 1 person over the course of a few classes, or that one person downloaded free characters, props and environments to animate with.
I'm sure the students just focused on the animation, and the selected few shots that get to be in the showcase gets to be polished up with lighting and environment.
"What did I tell you about licking the other kids' heads?"
" *deep sigh* Don't do it "
LMFAOOOOO
I think you might have to turn it up
3:31 was giving incredibles vibes-- when Ms. Parr is in the car talking to dash
4:25 best no doubt
This was the best year, I literally come back and watch this one just for entertainment.
Ander Liza's Aia model, was put to such good use.
My favorites are:
3:56 (loved her expressions)
1:58 (this is like a scene from a movie)
3:00 (soooo good and cute)
4:25 (I laughed so much at this one)
4:26 - Excerpt from Jim Carey’s audition / screen test for “A Series of Unfortunate Events” (2004)
I love the animation at 0:54
Bursting with character, it's funny, and punchy
What I love the most about these is the expressions and body language. CGI Animations for a long time fell into being rigid and more "Realistic" in movements. But here, you see the whole ray of motion and posture with the "Squash and Stretch" of traditional 2D animation. I love seeing that life and energy coming into 3D art work. The poses and extremes in some of these are so expressive and energetic, and play so perfectly to the camera. All very very impressive.
Can't believe how fluid all of this animation is! Stunning work, hoping to animate like this some day :)
+Micheal Weinfurtner : It is hardwork and perserverance ! I encourage you to work on your passion, and create awesome animations to show us. :)
ruclips.net/video/9Ac-ZSu3bJU/видео.html
Omfg all of these where effing amazing wow
See you in the future :>
I have a question. I've seen everyone's assignments, but most aren't as...shiny or polished as this. Does AM take the assignments and "dress 'em up" so something?
+Animovie Ratchet Yep! If you produce something outstanding, they will light, render and comp your shot for their student showcase reel:)
+Animbating awesome! That'll be me next year!
+Animovie Ratchet Tell us your opinions when you are inside!
I've already taken the 1st 3 classes: next year it's on to Acting!
Nicholas Damiani I have a question too ! Why your profile pic looks so creepy ? I guess you should change it.
Whatever that thing is at 3:02... I love him
4:26 I actually liked Jim Carry's Series of Unfortunate Events
It wasn't true to the books, but I think it captured how they felt really well
my favourite were the gay couple one at 1:58
+Karl Donatella Comes from the show "New girl" :)
+Pauline Dupuy girl with eyeglass so cute
+Pauline Dupuy honestly i like her
+Karl Donatella thats the shitest
+ald3ees ok now bye
Very funny 3D Animation! We like!
It's like a Pixar short collection! :D Good stuff!!
4:05 so freaking nuanced... better than 90% of commercial films imo.
1:17 space balls is my favorite movie connected on an emotional level
1:26 is me but i would stay on the floor and regret getting out of bed that morning XD
Cool, also the one at 1:47 reminded me of Slamacow's Animation
dude................ this is serirously fantastic................. encouraging and inspiring work....... and ur biggest fan mr. mentor... :)
Animation Mentor's showcases are so awesome !
Students are able to give so much life in the characters, it is really inspiring as an art student.
I also love to try to find to movies the dialogues are from. ^^
Cool video, but why do most of the animations from different animators all look the same in regards to character design? Did they build the models themselves or just using assets to learn how to rig and move the figures in a program?
Ah cool
I think they learn the basics from the teachers. And they are told the same, so they might look the because this project might have been made early in the year, so the product would seem as basic CGI
they most likely get premade characters and maybe have to rig them themselves or just animate them
modeling and creating textires is actaully a whole different subject but its good to know the basics of everything
the facial expressions on a lot of these are awesome!
2:43 so I’m assuming she’s playing “the Joy of Creation”? That’s the only way I can explain her extreme reaction.
I've watched every years reel, and I still think this is my favorite.
do you need to be a good drawer to make these kinds of 3d models?
+Wisdom Tooth
You don't necessarily have to be a good traditional artist to make great 3D art, but the skills involved with drawing can improve what you make in 3D. Really, and general artistic knowledge is useful no matter what medium you use..
There's the concept artist that designs them, then the 3D modeler that makes them into well duh, 3D models lol its more like a teamwork thing, however they can take the profession to do both. You pretty much have to draw well for the concept art but if you can mold things well then it should be fine.
I guess what I'm really trying to figure out is if the lack of drawing affect the form and shape?
Wisdom Tooth
In short, I'd probably say yes, it does. Having experience with traditional or digital drawing/painting gives you a solid base set of knowledge to work with.
But, honestly, skills related to 'form and shape' are just developed over time through research and practice. I've heard that having a traditional background helps a lot and gives artists an edge when it comes to design, but I've also heard stories of people who can barely draw for scrap, but are fantastic 3D artists.
+Wisdom Tooth these students in the video animated already made 3d models
Did anyone notice that the audio for the 4:05 clip was audio of Joan Cusack from the movie In and Out?
These all seem like clips from real movies
+MoarTaffy : That's right ! And the dialogs coming from real films make them even more part of a bigger story.
It looks awesome. :)
@@BenjaminCerbai Whoa, whoa, whoa. Those dialogs come from existing movies? Are all scenes like that? Maybe except for the pure monster CGI examples?
They are, I recognized one from parks and rec and one from the series of unfortunate events film
The animation at 1:59 is from the TV show New Girl... S1 E3
2:50 "Dinner's ready."
Wow, there are alot of young talented individuals.
I think the movements and the emotions are truly excellent in these, but I feel like a lot of them lack good character design.
0:27 I think it's inspired by the first matrixx movie chase scene of trinity the opening sequence
Holy frikin' balls these guys are good already!
sweet, the style is very expressive makes for some damn good story telling
2:14 why in the world does the guy on the bed look like PewDiePie?!?!?
I love when they drop Doctor Horrible lines in these!
4:04 I lovee that scene😂🤣
UGLY BISH IN YOUR DM'S IK I liked her expressions a lot!!
LOVED the "Spaceballs", "Doctor Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog", "New Girl", and "A Series of Unfortunate Events" references! :D
0:05
Oh hey Anna.
THIS is some great stuff. I love animation. The work involved in creating even a short animation is astounding.
1:39 Dr Horrible
0:59 when the ninja jumps over the block. Honestly I can't stop[ laughng
How we do this oh my god I want to learn how!!!
Very fantastic! Obviously some of the textures and details are a bit more plain, but that's more of a resource and time thing. The animation itself, including the designs, movement, lighting, and fluidity is fantastic!
0:40 looks like a real movie
0:00 to 0:08 does anybody know the song that's playing in the background?
2:42 *When you find out Trump won the election*
xD
Magalí Fernández lmao
Magalí Fernández I just laughed and woke up my mom 😂😆😫
Magalí Fernández i was going to be angry either way honestly
Magalí Fernández LMAO, I wasn't happy with either of them Though, but I agree with you.
4:26
I died watching that! 😂
4:33 I died of laughter 😂😂😂😂😂😂
BOY IN A BOX Same
This is crazy. Everything looks like from a Movie and extremely well done.. So if I join I can become like that too huh? can't wait to show my skill!
Wow! I wish i could animate like that. My anims are shiet xD
Nah, your animations are fabulous!
Hello, can you make a friend? As an equally animated person
Any person know we’re this audio/voices come from? 1:09
awesome stuff !
2:05
I heard that voice before.. but where??
I think it's Zoey Deschanel? From New Girl
Very good!
Wow, these are all so well done, great job to all the animators!
4:33 was soooo funny
What is the movie clip from 2:20? That sounds like Chris Pratt
2019?😂😂
The chicken dance from 1:58. I’m inlove, it’s such a great animation.
i like chicken dance............... awesome..............lol,,,,,,,,,,,,, tararararaauamauamuam
I liked the one by Svenja Menneken, the sound is just so fit to the animation, really beautiful
I like it.. but not as impressive as the previous ones :)
all of the previous ones were like 'jaw-dropping'..... this was more like 'nice animation!'.
I am no one to point a finger on these great animators though.
"What do we got on this thing a Cusinart!!!" Awesome work everyone!
So many people are talking about 1:59, but nobody knows that that’s a real tv show just not animated the show has 7 seasons and is on Netflix,
The show is called new girl btw if anyone wants to know
Some... no ALL of these are really good!!! Their actually really good quality
This is really great, I love the 2015 student show case
