i would say only if one person is dead set on it and the other is not because a lot of people are usually in a kind of "don't know, maybe" kind of stage and so you'll only truly know after being together for a significant amount of time

I love how much symbolism there is in this, especially when towards the end, the groom tries to cover up the spill on the bride’s dress, showing that simply covering up your problems isn’t the solution. Then, at the end, when they’ve literally torn each other apart, it shows that the fact they weren’t able to confront their problems and find a proper solution, cause them to tear each other-and their relationship-apart.

It also shows their desires and their discontent with each others bodies and this is half due to being exposed to online media that makes each other look inadequate or not satisfactory compared to what they were viewing.

So what you're saying is that you can both truly love each other, but if you can not work through THE PROBLEM/S TOGETHER, you can end up tearing each other apart and missing out on a good thing because of ego and other reasons.

I LOVE the wine on the wedding dress symbolising how their relationship was tainted from getting married. It was always a problem for the wife, who tried to wipe the blot away, but the stain was permanent. Meaning the commitment of marriage, and the expectations. Wonderful imagery to illustrate that getting married to someone who you aren’t compatible with can break the relationship all together.
To most people, it's just another one of those "lOL maRRiAgE bAD" scenarios.
He wanted a kid, she didn't want a kid. She was disgusted by the mixing tool, a symbol for the duties she would be expected to fill. He had no concept of how to act like a mature adult, looking at other woman and being goofy in a place he shouldn't. While there are a lot of signs to the issues they will face the imagery leaves me with another theory.
Ooooh I thought it was the lack of virginity, as some cultures see it as being “tainted”. Usually with blood being associated with it.

Yeah, it was clear that the video was a foreshadowing of how the real couple’s relationship will go. Though I was sad that he killed the dog and turned it into a tv cause the dog didn’t do anything to him.

Nah, the real couple shared a kiss on the mouth and were so happy, that they didn't even care that the cake was destroyed. So I think it shows more the contrast of a happy married couple that put a lot of thought and time into their relationship and how the couple could have been if not or how couple in general end up if married to soon or without much consideration for their dreams of married life.
He asked for a baby, he got a fur baby, what would of happened he he did get a baby instead

I love how near the end with the credits pictures, it shows that even with imperfections and faults, you can make it work if you really do care. The real groom and bride got past that and made it work, while the cake toppers tried to cover up their faults and so much more. The symbolism behind it is incredible.
Absolutely! Covering up is chipping away at the relationship... even with the little things, that's actually where it starts.
I don't think so; it seemed to me the credits were foreshadowing that the real bride and groom would meet a similar end.
I love the detail in the film where the bride's declining love for her partner is symbolized by her trying to remove the stain. In fact, every time she tries to clean it, from that moment on, she becomes less in love with him, until the end, when she realizes her mistake and desperately tries to wash it away, a sign that she has definitively understood that the marriage is broken. Unfortunately, many relationships and marriages (a statistic indicates about 50% of these) are lived in this way, and I add, due to a lack of education about life.
Moral of the story: think twice about who you marry, find someone you are compatible with, take time to get to know most of your partner, and establish an agreement on how the procedure will be and what belongs to whom when it arrives The divorce

That wasn’t the moral of the story. The moral is, they tried to mold each other for their own selfish benefit. Also why the dude smashed the dog and turned into a tv for HIS entertainment. Neither did the husband or the wife wanted to put themselves last even for the dog. The dog as well wanted attention and had its own needs. But at the end everyone lost themselves. But if you still have the mentality of “ I’m going to marry a person who fits my every need” then you’re still mistaken.

Love how the cake topper bride just gave the groom a peck on the cheek because she was expected to be okay with the spill, while the bride at the end looked at the spill, looked anoyed at the moment and then just went "What the hell, it's just a dress" and gave the groom a proper kiss because their relationship is what the wedding is all about.
Ikr a dress is a one time thing a good healthy relationship is forever
During the credits however show photos from the wedding that show similar behavior from the cake toppers though, that fortell that they will struggle together within their marriage as their confectionary dopplegangers.
Differences on the baby issue- the groom showing affection towards a guest's baby, the bride looking distressed and uncomfortable when holding the baby.
The groom prefering a different female body type- the groom's wandering eye towards the bridesmaids breasts.
@@Circa1628 yeah, it’s a struggle to figure out whether the cake toppers are an exaggeration of what will happen in the future to the real couple or if the real couple will get over these differences and live happily ever after. Which I think is great that people can have both interpretation, because that’s kinda how real life works. It either will or won’t work out, we won’t know for sure until we live through it. Though some things really should be discussed before marriage, like babies.

The spill is more to represent the brides doubts about the marriage. She tries to scrub it off but it never goes away
4:50 its a good thing she chose not to have kids but also shows how even only offering they adopt a puppy only to apease his desire to be paternal when she cant even offer to take the dog for a walk her self, but also if he wanted to be a father and cant even take the dog for a walk, what kind of father would he be? even if you are highly religous, just do an extended engagement before you even start planning the wedding, make sure you know who you are going to marry, give it time for any act or facade to wear away before you get tricked into marrying an alias only to find out who the real spouse is only after the papers are signed. You can still be abstinant if you choose to, you can even just play house a bit with out spending hte night or sleeping in seperate bedrooms until the wedding night if you dont beleive in sharing a bed before being married, but too many folks are getting married not knowing who they are and then feeling unable to file for a divorce because of their religion. Also, even just spending the weekend days at each others residences, taking turns every other week for an extended time period would help those who are religious avoid divorce better.... Me personally Im an athiest so I dont have such worries, but just thinking logically how those who are religious can be more cautious with out sacrificing their core values.

I would like to comment on your point about the dog, This is how i saw it. I think the husband did care for the dog most of the time, but being the only one taking care of a pet that lives in both of yours home is unfair. I think it shows how much their values don't align, as the wife doesn't want anything to take care of and the husband wants to be a dad.

The cake couple just had a kiss on the cheek but the real couple had a kiss on the mouth. So unlike the cake toppers the real peeps clearly have a more healthy relationship and a better chance at a happy marriage.
Also how they weren't put off about their cake being destroyed. It wasn't about the cake; they were just happy to be there

3. Know when you've crossed the line and try to communicate clearly.
4. If a person doesn't love you, they won't try to change for you.
5. Friendship is getting to know someone without romance, pre-engagement is learning if your love is unconditional and romantic, engagement is knowledge that they're right for you and marriage is a life-long commitment based on genuine, relentless, gentle and beautiful affection, love and care. Finances, goals, kids, pets; all are major decisions that need to be discussed well before the ring goes on, much less before you say _'I do'._ If you can't even discuss those rationally and come to reasonable, mutually satisfactory decisions together, you've got no business getting married.
Facts! I feel like tons of people forget to discuss big decisions like this. Its why tons of marriage end up in divorce.
Children is something to discuss when you're still dating. When one person wants a baby and the other doesn't, your marriage is basically over then.
Marriage is a wonderful thing, it symbolizes love and a start of a new chapter for a couple.
Marriage is never awful, people are and it’s only awful when people who shouldn’t get married, get married.
Why I personally think so many people have awful marriages is because some people don’t think about what it mean to be married.
Another thing is being/not having a partner that is not ready or suited for marriage.
Worst of all, is when couples don’t discuss having kids before getting married.
I come from a big family that has lots of kids so I know how badly marriage turns out to be because of naive couples who don’t know the reality of marriage. I have cousins, aunts and uncles who still suffer because of their partner, and so do their kids. Divorce is not popular where I’m from and even when couples divorce, there’s still irreparable damage but it gets even worse when there’s kids involved.

Yeah, you could tell with the kiss in the beginning that it wasnt going to be good. Really get to know someone for their character and faults. And have parallel life goals. It wasnt bad for the man to want a child but he married someone who wanted to be kid free. Those types of relationships will not work out. Talk about these things before getting married. If you find out your partner wants something different, it may be best to rethink the relationship. I had to do that when i found out my boyfriend of 6 years didnt want kids. Called it off. He can find someone who wants to be kid free.

My jaw dropped at 5:00.😨This implies the real couple actually gets rid of, harms, and/or kills a real dog, as the couple's behavior in the credits is mirroring the cake toppers. A well done animation is one that makes you react, and this certainly made me do just that. Hopefully since the couple isn't confined to a cake box, friends and family can convince the pair to get help or therapy before things get dark.

awwh.. this is really sad, you can see moments where they genuinely seem to care about each other. it's sad they just aren't compatible in the important and big areas.
what I take away from this is that love isn't just a feeling, if you want a marriage to last you actually have to be compatible too and work well together.

Everyone in this reply section don't even know why the dog was killed, it's sad.
The cake dog was killed because the cake wife destroyed the cake tv because she wanted cake husband to take cake dog out for a walk, in revenge cake husband kills cake dog, and turns it into a new cake tv.
Moral of the story is COMMUNICATION. Both spouses tried to get each others attention, they both felt like they did nothing wrong in the marriage.

Moral of the story, be careful who you marry or your significant other might squish your doggo for a TV.
I think the rule should be; If you can't handle them as your roommate, don't feel obligated to be married. You got to remember that we aren't carbon copies of everyone else, we all have different interests and desires. Marriage is an illusion that things are working in complete harmony all the time. If you can't come to terms with the fact that someone's needs are different then yours, marriage may not be the answer.

We won't be eternally unhappy. That's not how it works, this is a toxic relationship, there are healthy relationships out there. Life is worth living, happiness is real.

Kinda creepy how a lot take this as a "superation" story when in reality some people are not meant to be in a relationship and that's okay.
Him killing the dog to turn it into something replaceable like a TV is just a really bad sign (probably foreshadowing a physically abusive relationship for the people who ordered the cake). Fellows if your partner actually assaults an animal you get the hell out of there. I don't care if this is symbolism, I don't care if it's not real, you get the hell out of there.
