We understand the meaning of the word 'mother' only when we become like them or loose them .Just think yourself in a state when your mum is in dead bed and all her scolding will be coming back to u as memories of sweet times.

then again, if she comes back to life and starts scolding you, you hate her again, i think its when we realize that we don't have a choice to see and be witht hem anymore, we feel sad...

My mother took her last breath in my hands .... and those memories are still in me . Even though 2 years have past I am still going through my depression and anxiety medication . A life without mother is something hollow , especially if you are a girl child . Now I am mother to my 12 year old sister .
Just a reminder , just show your parents that you love them through actions , you won't know if you will have them by your side the next moment. You can't get back something you lost .

  • @OhioGirl-bu2kv
    @OhioGirl-bu2kv 4 года назад +1511

    The video hit me hard!
My Mom passed away on May 21, 2012 from Alzheimer's Disease.
My Dad went to visit her every day and to take care of her.
It's not that he didn't trust the nurses.
He NEEDED to be there by her side.
He missed her presence at home.
    He was LONELY without her.
They had a wonderful bond with each other.
My Dad said he would never marry again.
My Mom was the only woman for him.
I watched her deteriorate in the hospital bed and there was nothing I could do to stop it.
My mind went back to all of the meals that she cooked and how she loved decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas.
I remember sitting in the living room, by the coffee table looking at the Nativity Scene and watching the snow fall outside, and watching the lights blink on the Christmas Tree.
My Mom would be playing Christmas music on the record player.
The Andrews Sisters was my favorite along with a Christmas record by Boots Randolph, Floyd Kramer and Chet Atkins.
The vacations we would take every summer after we were out of school.
My Mom was so good at reading the Road Atlas.
She never learned how to drive.
My Dad did all the driving.
My Mom used to buy Christmas gifts throughout the year.
By Thanksgiving, she had everything bought that was on her list.
Then she would wrap up the gifts.
She was so good at utilizing a piece of wrapping paper.
    She never wasted any.
She was just so talented at everything.
I wanted to be just like her.
I worked on a Memorial after she passed away.
This kept me busy the week she died.
I started it on Monday and was done by Friday.
I took copies over to my Dad's house (we lived back to back).
All of the family was there.
I wanted to give out the copies I had made to them.
    Now fast forward to 2019.
I was married 19 years ago and had 2 beautiful daughters aged 18 and 14.
    Where has the time gone?
It seems like only yesterday that we brought them home from the hospital.
    Feeding them, changing their diapers.
Watching them grow up and start school.
Watching them make friends, and lose friends.
I just want to do it all again.
I want to relive my life again from the beginning.
Not take things or people for granted.
    Appreciate everything that you have.
I like to sit and look at pictures, but they are a painful reminder of days gone by.
I will never get those days back again.
I remember the 3 of us (my brother, sister and myself) being taken to our Grandparents apartment.
There is a memory I do not have but was told to me.
We all (Mom, Dad, brother, sister and I) went to Sears Department Store.
    I was probably about 5 or 6.
I slipped away from my Mom and took the escalator to the 2nd floor.
There was all kinds of toys and even a big wheel.
I was having fun without a care in the world.
Then my Mom realized I wasn't with her.
She starting searching the store and then asked a security guard if he had seen me.
She gave him a description of what I looked like and what I was wearing.
It didn't take him long to find me.
He said I was upstairs playing on the big wheel.
They brought me downstairs to my Mom.
I don't remember any of this happening.
I could go on for days with these kinds of stories and bore everyone to death.
    So, I'll just say this.
Cherish your Mother for she is like no other.
Here is a saying I came across years ago.
MOTHERS HOLD ONTO THEIR CHILDRENS HANDS FOR AWHILE BUT THEIR HEARTS FOREVER.
    Memories are bittersweet.
    Sorry for my book.
I wanted to share these things.
    HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
    Have a blessed day everyone.

Same. My mom is a single mother, I was like 3 or 4 when my dad passed away from a brain hemorrhage and my mom was only 25 at the time. She could have given me away for adoption, sent me to live with my maternal grandparents or killed me like my paternal grandparents wanted but she gave up her life at such a young age to raise me. I really am grateful for receiving a goddess for a mother, love you mom❤

You know I watched this last year or so and I’m watching again. And it just made me kinda realize that:
When you move away you’re learning to live life without your parents, but your parents are also learning to live life without you.
You can’t remember every year you were with them but they remember every little thing since even before you were born. So it must be hard for someone you’ve been loving and raising for over 19 years to take that for granted and just leave you behind. And it’s sad that they will probably die when your not by their side.

That moment when she sat on the bench looking at their old house. And the silence and the stillness that follows. With no words, it conveys how much she missed her and wants nothing else in the world than to feel the warmth of her mothers' love again. Pure tenderness, our mothers' love is. The warmest blanket in the whole world.
    I love you mom😭♥️

As a new mom I am enjoying my daughter's toddler phase, today she said "all done" after finishing her dinner. This was her first time saying all done! I cried from pure joy. It feels like she was born yesterday and now, she climbing the stairs, asking for cheese lol and giving lots of kisses and cuddles first thing in the morning, which I enjoy and look forward to every morning. Time is going by so fast and wish I could somehow slow it down. As selfishly as that may sound, but I also enjoy her development and seeing her true personality peeping through. I know even though she is 1 years old and time just went by so quickly since she was born, I hope to be a stronger, sweeter, more understanding mother that she can be proud of. She is truly my life and I love her so much.
If your mom is still with you and you are now an adult. Please consider allowing her to take care of you when she is around. We get it you're an adult and perhaps married with children of your own, but just remember you are that little baby to your mom forever.

I can relate to your feelings, even though Im 49yo. My daughter was born within a year my mom passed and my son was born within a year my dad passed… It’s like the angels took something from me and within a year they gave me a new life to love. Like a special agenda… it’s like my parents told me “you can’t come with me… I’ll give you a new love to care about”… and so I did. Although I “visit” my parents in dreams, I know my place is here on earth with my children.

It's been 4 yers since my grandma passed. I'm still missing her. Sometimes I just want to go to her old house and stay there for a while but I can't, the house was sold to a stranger. Something that was so familiar to you your whole life, now it feels like a piece of you was erased. It is so sad😭

I think the creators used high def pictures and just animated them in. But still tho, the way they actually made them "blend in" with the background is amazing.

    Welp, here comes the tears.
I thought about this animation before going to bed, it made me cry. I wasn't sure of watching it again since I'm an emotional person. But I've decided to watch it anyway. Did I cry? Yep.

It’s short but it’s got me deeply and completely! I like there are some silence moments and it took me into it and I can feel those moments so alive, especially when she came back to The old house sitting on the bench under the tree that is so powerful and touching ! My tears are coming down …. It’s sad , we are all going through to be nurtured and then nurture others , learning to love and be loved .

This is such a bittersweet cycle of life. I’m pregnant with my first baby girl and thank God my Mom is still here and healthy. I wish my grandmothers were here to experience this time with us too. I can’t wait to make memories with my mom and baby but there’s apart of me that’s already sad because I know it won’t last forever. One day she’ll be gone and so will I. I don’t even know if it’s possible to feel like I’ve made the best of it or look back and not wish I could’ve done something different or better but I guess that’s life. I guess I’m just grateful to have the experiences at all. I’m just happy to have a mother who loves me and be a mother who loves her daughter. 💖🦋🌷

My mom has always been single; she dropped out of college to take care of my brother and I when we were toddlers and she worked hard when she was in her early 20s to take care of us alone. I am so proud of my mom; she went back to college and she now has a good job and her own house. I wouldn’t trade my mom for anything in the world; don’t ever, ever, ever take your mom for granted because you’ll never know how much you need/love her until you don’t have her. Don’t forget, if you don’t have a mom, you’ll always have your Heavenly Father that loves you so much and forgives you for all of your mistakes; “I am for you, I will not forsake you” I hope everyone has healthy holidays!

The most beautiful story I have ever seen. The word Mother is the best best best word into the world. We all should respect our mother and take care of her when she was old. We shouldn't forget that when were small and never know how to care ourselves, mother is the one who nourishes and bring up till we were grown ups, so when they were old they also didn't know to care themselves at that age, so we are the ones to take care of them.

What I would give to spend some time with my Momma and my Dad too. They are both in heaven now. Thank you for the beautiful reminder of a Mother’s love and how important it is to always be there for them and never to neglect them. Life passes so quickly.
