- This is one of my most cherished videos. I got a chance to bake in the kitchen with my grandma Georgia. She is the mother of 11 children and one of my favorite people! This recipe is an all time family favorite that you're going to love!!!!

Ditto! Mine always brought treats over,but we never saw her cook them except for her Italian dishes! She was born in Sicily so proud of her Italian meals! Lol I so make great spaghetti sauce! Not gravy she would smack me upside my head if Icalled it gravy so naturally I did for fun,but not funny to Gram!! lol she called me brat- brat because of that! Lol

Kelly, your Grandma is a national treasure! I'm watching this in May of 2021 from Thailand. The world is so messed up now and to see the two of you sharing this time is priceless. I completely forgot why I was watching. Rice pudding seems so insignificant now. I can't wait to try her recipe and serve it to my two Thai sons. God Bless You!

Ladies, thank you, thank you!! My eyeballs are rolling around in my head from watching so many rice pudding videos trying to find the recipe I remember my granny making that I loved so much. 💕 Yours is finally the one. I can remember as a child she put a box of vanilla pudding, not instant, the kind you cook, just like for banana pudding, in her rice pudding, along with the raisins, etc. And you guys are using a bag of rice, that's how I remember it, plenty of rice. The other recipes only use a cup of uncooked rice or 2 cups of cooked rice. That's just enough to aggravate you! This recipe is just how I remember it, and tonight I'm going to make your lovely grandmother's rice pudding! Yay! My grandmother made rice pudding from a 100 year old recipe and I was trying to remember how she did it. This one is close to hers. Except she made it in a deeper bowl and no raisins. I have had it both ways and it is good either way. The old ways always taste the best. I really appreciate your grandmother showing her secret recipe.

That looks amazing! I watched a girl make it yesterday and she rinsed her rice 4 times besides soaking!!! And used almond milk. I think almond or coconut would be fine but you need that startch. It looked grey!!! See our Grandma's know best. It was family recipe she had but changed it too much. Rice pudding I love. My best friends family use an egg and cook and serve pudding and vanilla, with instant rice. It's actually pretty good for a quick version. So I was excited to see the pudding! Thank you Grandma! 😊

Remember to take something for blood sugar balance. Nopal Cactus or something because the sugar from the rice as well as the added sugar, will send your blood sugar through the roof!
Also, I use RAW sugar and never the white stuff. Important.

My mother made baked rice using raw rice, cream & cinnamon & sugar. It was AWESOME. Problem is I don't know what happened to recipe when she passed. I continue looking but no luck so far.

Oh gosh I love how she says it like you should know 😂 reminds me of my grandma who passed away over 20 years ago and funny that I’m the only one out of he 8 children and 30 odd grandkids that actually synced with her in the kitchen and so can actually cook ❤️❤️ and I can cook ANYTHING just like my grandma!! She was broke and learnt to cook not just traditional white folk cooking but she went to classes alongside asians Indians African Americans and Italians at classes that were full of immigrants (non English speaking) I guess that’s how I picked up the language of grunts and a dash of this and that lmao
