Raphael will always be the goat in my eyes. He'd do anything for his brother’s and let's not forget he beat leo in a 1v1 in the tmnt movie. Kid me was going apeshit watching that
He's the strongest one. He stays in the gym 🏋️♂️ and practicing like there's not tomorrow. If he was focused enough he'd be the best leader and unstoppable.
@@bartimusprime5652 That was in hand to hand combat. He lost when they started using their weapons. In the mirage comics, Raph once beat his ass in hand to hand combat. Sometimes it just depends on which tmnt versions we’re talking about, if the topic is who’s the best combatively speaking.
Raphael for sure. The rogue attitude, the passion for his bros, he’s my personal favorite now that I’m older, Leo was my favorite as a kid but older I understand Raphael.
@@lakernation26 wow same here. Leo was always my favorite growing up, and liked Raph second, but after I hit puberty I like Raph even more. Love the intensity he has.
Raph’s, it’s always been him for me. Reds always been my favorite color and like Raph I’ve always preferred being on my own doing my thing and if pushed around by someone I’m going to be pushing back twice as hard. Raph’s a badass and I’d like to be one too.
My favorite Turtle is Leo because he is the leader and is always trying to set an example for his brothers while still not being perfect and having to come to terms with his shortcomings, after Leo it’s Donnie, Raph and then Mikey without going on a tangent for why i love all of them cause that would be too damn long.
If I recall, from the comics, Michelangelo was the grittiest and the best, and then Don who stopped Shreddar. But once the cartoons dropped, one became a goofy child and the other an eccentric nerd.
Raphael from the 2008 directed by Kevin Monroe is me. I beat up my siblings but is anyone bothers them I'm in the front lines. Plus I'm always playing Tank vanguard
Raphael is my favorite as he is the most complex and I love him especially in 1987, 2003, 2012, and the 90s trilogy plus his backstory in the idw comics is phenomenal
When I was younger, I gravitated towards goofy Mikey. When I was in high school and college, Raph was my guy. In adulthood, I'm more of a Donatello guy. But Leo was always there, and he was the best one in Rise, so, there ya go. ^^; I think my perfect team would be 80's Mikey, 03 Raph, 2012 Donnie, and Rise Leo, since I feel like they are their best versions in those iterations... but you could easily swap Donnie and Raph with one another. It's REALLY close.
Raph. Always has been always will be my favorite turtle. I relate to him the most because I have a terrible temper that caused me to lash out and whoop ass as a kid
Michaeangelo has always been my favorite because he's the fun and funny guy who lightens up the mood when it gets dark, but he can still get serious when he needs to. And now as I'm older, I kinda empathize with the thing about talent vs training - among my siblings as a little kid I was the gifted student with high grades, but got lazy as I got older. I didn't even graduate from high school on time, and while I've got a bachelor's as an engineer now, it took a lot longer than I feel it "should" have. But at the least, I did get it. So that's a lesson in not giving up, at least. That said, the other turtles are all awesome, too; your video's even given me a new appreciation for Raphael. I always just thought of his jumping into fights first as impatience, but hearing it put as a heroic "gotta help *now*" ideal actually fits. As a fun aside, there is an obscure alternate TMNT future scenario where Raph is the last surviving turtle. Look into the Road Hogs/After the Bomb ttrpg books by Palladium; as licensed TMNT ttrpg material, the books include comics done by Eastman and Laird exclusively for those books. It's an interesting "what if" kind of scenario.
At 1 point Raphael was once my favorite mainly because he was badass and wears my favorite color red. But lately Michelangelo is now my favorite cause he's the heart and soul of the team. That's also not to mention he incorporates everything the name TMNT is for specifically the teenage part.💛🐢
My personal favourite ninja turtle is Donatello feom 2003. Not only he is smart, but he's also gentle, has good sense of humour, understands different point of views and I recognise myself as him!
0:05 Off rip, I must go with Leo. He shouldered so much responsibility throughout so much of the series. My favorite color is red & I still rock with Leo. Mikey gets it off of lore & longevity.
My favourite is Leonardo. I like how he’s according to the other turtles the leader they don’t need but if they don’t realise they do need him. Also I like characters who used 2 katanas I don’t know. I think they look cool. 🐢🐢🐢🐢
Donnie's been my man since 2012. I've said this before, but without him and his gadgets the turtles would just be three dudes who're good at fighting. The issue is that he gets overshadowed because of Leo and Raph's rivalry and Mikey's automatic filling of comic relief. But he's honestly the bedrock of the turtles and is the one who balances them all out
Team Michelangelo! He was my favorite as a kid. I was a huge Bruce Lee fan when I was younger, and since his nunchucks were such an iconic weapon, I wanted to master them. I got my mom to buy me a pair, and I constantly practiced. When I came across The Ninja Turtles, I obviously gravitated toward Mikey. Not only because of his weapons but because he was the coolest "dude" ever! I loved his personality as much as the chucks. I think I was 8 or 9. Ever since it's all about the turtle in orange!
I guarantee the staff is a superior weapon to sighs and nunchucks, swords is debatable. The staff was used throughout history and guess what sharpen one end and then you have the ultimate weapon a spear. I would put Donatello on top he actually is more like the leader coming up with plans and fixing everything and then Michaelangelo 2nd I think his feats are better than the others.
Raph and Wolverine were my two favourite characters growing up. Likening them here with the relationships to Leo and Cyclops respectively, really drives it home. Great vid.
Raphael is my favorite turtle. Hands down. In the original graphic novels he was such a badass and such a vicious fighter, he would completely outshine the others. In the cartoon, his wisecrack kept the show balanced from becoming a total cheese-fest.
My favorite Ninja Turtle is Raphael because I could relate to him. As someone with autism, I get angered easily and have emotional meltdowns. Even though I’m much better at managing my emotions now, I still have them at times. I also love how Raphael is the bruiser of the team and how he has a soft spot for his family despite his rough exterior.
Raphael is my favorite. Not just cause of his immense strength, courage and determination but I relate to him because of that and his weaknesses like his temper and his lone wolf attitude
Raphael is my personal favorite across all continuities. His temperament is so dynamic: in the ‘80s series he’s a “rude, crude dude”, in the 2000s he’s a rage junkie, and in Rise he’s a frustrated older brother dealing with his younger siblings’ faults while also trying to keep them safe. He’s one of the best characters in fiction and has so much going for him on a narrative level in any version.
Raphael. The berserker. Extra HP. That Roll attack in the arcade game. The passion. He’s the angry one. Dunno if he’s, John. More like a mix of Paul & John.
Seeing Leo at third hurt my soul. Since i always liked him being the oldest one of them and carrying the largest responsibility and burden. Something i always learned from.
My favourite has always been Donatello and then Michelangelo - purple is my favourite colour and I always liked how good he was with the gadgets, definitely gets overshadowed by the others but Donnie is super cool for sure
Don was always my favorite. The staff had the best attack in the Nintendo game. I'm talking about the original Nintendo game. That game is still one of my favorites.
I am old, so one of the first things I saw (and subsequently wore the VHS out) was the 1990. I always liked Raphael from that one the best, though all of them were great. One kind of fun bit in that movie is that you see in the farm scene one of the turtle is on top of the barn (I think) and yells splinters name. The voice is Raphael, but the actual turtle they used was Michelangelo.
My favorite is Rafael but the best and most important is Donatello he is building everything, responsible for all the technology, mutagen research and is the one figuring out how to beat the villains every episode. Leo as the leader literally every episode is like Donnie what do we do and somehow he always has an answer. Sure he is not the best for combat but thats not important.
Mikey/donatello/Raph/Leo. Leo battled too much with identity, Raph has no self control, Donatello was too much brains and not enough balls. Mikey was the only true to himself always positive vibe in the crowd.
In one of my favourite 90s Archie comic issues turtles are taken to an asteroid for the intergalactic wrestling match, only this time they have to fight... Each other. They hesitate a bit, then Raph (of course) lands the first blow, Mikey attacks Don, Don is thrown away for a while. Then the fight goes Leo against Mikey, Leo wins. Raph and Leo go head to head, Raph is fierce and willing to win and he overwhelms Leo. So now it's Raph against Don. In the end, Donnie beats overconfident Raphael with some moves he learned from the books. Such a great issue demonstrating the dynamics within the group and also how every one of them is capable to the best by using his strength. You guys should check this out, it's rare that we see turtles fight one another semi-seriously.
I love all the turtles really can’t decide on who’s the best they all move as a unit. But Mikey is stated the have the most potential as long as he focuses and applies himself.
Ive been looking to say this on most TMNT videos. Raph doesn't only have the most defensive weapon of the group, he also has the shortest, the lesson being, if you want to hurt someone you're going to be hurt in the process. I think this is far greater lesson for him.
Michelangelo's weapons require the highest technical ability of the 4, and he wields them so effortlessly. He was a great pick for the Ronan and a great pick for #1 in this video.
1. Leo 2. Raph 3. Don 4. Mikey I think Leo is the best actually because he’s the most skilled and disciplined. His only draw back is being TOO disciplined which isn’t a huge draw back to be honest. If I had to choose 1 turtle to fight shredder or have my back it’s Leo. Raph is the strongest, and he’s definitely someone i want on my side in a fight. As mentioned he is the most heroic. But he’s also the most selfish and often the turtles are put in jeopardy because he runs off and has fits. Which is a big issue honestly it happens a lot lol. Don is probably the least ninja as mentioned. He’s middle of the road in terms of fighting, but his smarts help the turtles a lot. He’s very consistent. If anything I’d say he really never causes an issue for the team. Mikey is the last to me because most of the time he’s just the least effective. He’s the coolest, has a great heart and definitely shows signs of potential but most of the time he seems to be the easiest turtle to take out. He’s like the baby brother. Very consistent to the team like don and never causes an issue, but I wouldn’t rely on him to come up with a plan or to take down shredder or anything. Last ronin I feel really boosted his status. I love all 4 equally they are the best. That’s just how I would rank them
Raph was my guy. Because I dealt with anger issues. And when I got into martial arts I modeled my fighting style after his. So really explosive and aggressive.
I always loved Leo and Donnie equally. mikey was fun when I was very little, but I find annoying now as an adult, and I always disliked the “I’m so tough. You can’t tell me what to do” act of Raphael.
When this video popped up on my feed ,first thought was “how dare anybody try to rank the turtles ? Wdf? “ but the cast system yall put in place to do this is really impressive 😂
Dude, when you say the "Mikey fan rn" that was literall me fr. When I start to learn english I beginning my way in the TMNT series and, bro… in the moment I saw that goofball I mean something like "Jeez… he's the goat bro" and by the time I realized it, Mikey's idioms were sticking to me like Swiss cheese. Same, but rise Donnie is 2nd tbh
That's my ranking too! Leo has ALWAYS been my favorite and always will be
Mikey has shown to have the potential to be the best
raph is my favorite. He doesn't hesitate in many scenarios, and sometimes that's bad, but its also noble in a way.
for me Leo is the best turtle. As the eldest son in my family, I was always able to understand Leo and empathize with him. I also love his two katanas
Raphael will always be the goat in my eyes. We know he's the most erratic, emotional, and violent member of the group and seeing how he master the sai, which is a primarily defensive weapon, is honestly incredible.
To be fair Leo was kicking his ass until he realised it was Raph, and Sai's are specifically anti-katana weapons. But yeah Raph is a total unit
@bartimusprime5652
Leo didn't take advantage of Raph being hot headed like Mikey did. His mistake was fighting Raph while he's focused.
That was in the movie where Leo was holding back in 2003 Leo effortlessly humbled him
Donatello can do what the other turtles can do, but can they do machines? I think not.
"Leonardo is the best fighter" still put him third. Leo for the win.
I always pulled for Donatello because the bo staff reminded me of all the old kung fu theater movies I used to watch
Lol most complex
@@Frost11511 Hey he is tho with his temper and lone wolf tendencies and his loyalty towards his friends and family
Raph always has and always will be
Ehh...
When I was younger, I gravitated towards goofy Mikey. When I was in high school and college, Raph was my guy. In adulthood, I'm more of a Donatello guy. But Leo was always there, and he was the best one in Rise, so, there ya go. ^^;
I think my perfect team would be 80's Mikey, 03 Raph, 2012 Donnie, and Rise Leo, since I feel like they are their best versions in those iterations... but you could easily swap Donnie and Raph with one another. It's REALLY close.
Raph. Always has been always will be my favorite turtle. I relate to him the most because I have a terrible temper that caused me to lash out and whoop ass as a kid
Michelangelo is my favorite. Just love his goody personality.
It’s been such a huge jump from the 90’s cartoons & first movies to now with all the comics, movies, series…
Donny ,Raph , Leo ,then Mikey
6:52 i think canonically Leo is the only turtle with a win over Splinter
Shredder too, or at least he fought him to a standstill in one episode of the original show.
At 1 point Raphael was once my favorite mainly because he was badass and wears my favorite color red. But lately Michelangelo is now my favorite cause he's the heart and soul of the team.
That's also not to mention he incorporates everything the name TMNT is for specifically the teenage part.💛🐢
Michelangelo was BattleNexus champion 🏆
great work as always been loving the vids
My personal favourite ninja turtle is Donatello feom 2003. Not only he is smart, but he's also gentle, has good sense of humour, understands different point of views and I recognise myself as him!
3:58 oh this art style of this solo issue was so great, te facial expressions are amazing.
It is always between Raph and Leo for me in IDW, they were both amazing, in 2003 as well.
1. Donatello
2. Raphael
3. Michelangelo
4. Leonardo
But he's honestly the bedrock of the turtles and is the one who balances them all out
@@Karanshu Donny is kind of like the Blue Ranger in Power Rangers.
Leo is my favorite closely by the last ronin won't say who that is. But leo is usually the turtle who kills or defeats shredder
Leo only died because he sacrificed himself
I guarantee the staff is a superior weapon to sighs and nunchucks, swords is debatable. The staff was used throughout history and guess what sharpen one end and then you have the ultimate weapon a spear. I would put Donatello on top he actually is more like the leader coming up with plans and fixing everything and then Michaelangelo 2nd I think his feats are better than the others.
Raphael is the best. That's just my opinion. I always saw him as the MC, especially in the live action movie and the TMNT Movie.
Raph and Wolverine were my two favourite characters growing up. Likening them here with the relationships to Leo and Cyclops respectively, really drives it home. Great vid.
mine is raph bc he acts like such a hardass but really cares about everyone a lot
Raphael is my favorite turtle. Hands down. In the original graphic novels he was such a badass and such a vicious fighter, he would completely outshine the others. In the cartoon, his wisecrack kept the show balanced from becoming a total cheese-fest.
I love raph he's just always so badass and i had so many toys of him as a kid
Leo did show that rage moment! When he saw his master die in front of him! Forgot which TMNT was it! But kick ass on that episode.
I love the turtles, but if I'm being honest, I always loved Splinter more than them.
Raphael is my personal favorite. He has this outlaw, anti-hero, emotionless but really does care quality I relate to. This list though is perfect.
"How do you guys expect to beat me? Good answer, good answer"
Raphael is my favorite. Not just cause of his immense strength, courage and determination but I relate to him because of that and his weaknesses like his temper and his lone wolf attitude
Great video guys not gonna lie I raged a little bit when I saw Donny at the bottom
The lads are relentless with the quality content ❤!
8:08 Down the line Leonora’s with Shredder to be able to be a bit more of a killer.
Raphael. The berserker. Extra HP. That Roll attack in the arcade game. The passion. He’s the angry one. Dunno if he’s, John. More like a mix of Paul & John.
@1:09 that Raph is terrifying....
Seeing Leo at third hurt my soul. Since i always liked him being the oldest one of them and carrying the largest responsibility and burden. Something i always learned from.
Smartest: Donatello
Strongest: Raphael
Best Fighter: Michelangelo
Tactical: Leonardo
Michelangelo is not a better fighter than Raphael
My favourite has always been Donatello and then Michelangelo - purple is my favourite colour and I always liked how good he was with the gadgets, definitely gets overshadowed by the others but Donnie is super cool for sure
Perfect Comparison for Leo is Daniel and Mr Miyagi 😭
Don was always my favorite. The staff had the best attack in the Nintendo game. I'm talking about the original Nintendo game. That game is still one of my favorites.
One doesn’t pick there favorite turtle, the turtle chooses you.
Trying to sound wise while spelling "their" incorrectly.
I almost unsub’d at the Leo slander 😤, but you guys won me back with your compliments to him 😂
My favorite is Rafael but the best and most important is Donatello he is building everything, responsible for all the technology, mutagen research and is the one figuring out how to beat the villains every episode.
1. Leo
2. Raph
3. Don
4. Mikey
I think Leo is the best actually because he’s the most skilled and disciplined.
That’s just how I would rank them
@@timsimpson6019 I had to double-check to see if I wrote this myself. This is right on.
Raph is always my fave turtle, reminds me of myself as a teen, angsty moody rebellious and sometimes misunderstood
And he can be an underrated leader
Raph was my guy. Because I dealt with anger issues. And when I got into martial arts I modeled my fighting style after his. So really explosive and aggressive.
Michelangelo being the last ronin definitely gives him the number 1 spot
That feeling when someone says the 2003 show is the OG... (Cries in 1987) It's always been Raph. Since i was 10 in '87.
Sai's a defensive weapon. Splinter knew what he was doing.
These two saying "OG 2003 tmnt's." Me at late 30's thinking about the 93 actual OG tmnt's 😂
Delicious and unexpected, I literally don't know how to talk to someone without using them. Btw,
there's a reason their titles are "The Last Rōnin" and "The Champion of the Battle Nexus" In addition to being "the one with the greatest potential among his brothers", "the naturally skilled one" and "the wisest of the group". Doesn't let's forget the best title of all *drumroll* "La santa Chalupa".
In fact it's cinema. ✋😞👌
Since I was a kid I always thought Raphael was the leader, then a couple years ago I found out he wasn’t. To me though, he still is.
Personally
1. Donnie
2. Leo
3. Mikey
4. Raph
