I was looking forward to your how-to video and wanted to say great job on the install and for the video itself. 👍 On the factory Bose amp bypass you did is for the 1993-1995, but the Bose amp wiring is a little different for the 1991-1992 models, just a little FYI. 😊 All in all, it's a great video and I look forward to your Florida trip video! 😮 Thanks again! 😊
Appreciate this. My coupe had an aftermarket unit installed when I bought it. I do want to get my steering wheel controls working and get my Alpine head unit to sit nice and flush
Great video, easy to digest. I don't even own a legend anymore but watched through the whole thing.😀 Can you go over why you chose the speakers you used?
Love this video. That is exactly where I ran my power wire for the sub. Good to see it was actually the correct way. I'm in FL, we should link up when you get here tho my 94 L is still a project. Where did you purchase that sub?
@@kraftingkars I agree but finding one in a decent condition and mileage isn't going to be an easy task lol. I want to buy one as a project car if God is willing.
You will have to bypass it like I did in the video! If you have the factory bose amp and it's still working you may be able to find a head unit that works with 2 ohm amps and speakers. But converting the whole system to 4 ohm will give you way more options
Check your hpf and lpf settings on your head unit. If your hpf (high pass filter) is set too low it could be filtering out all sound above bass frequencies ~60hz.
your rear speakers covers have no clips (probably broken) thats why they popped off with ease. you dont remove the rear seat the way you do, I'll bet you bent the brackets on the upper portion, you LIFT it up not bend it out. probably why you struggled with reinstalling it. theres no need to bypass the factory amp if you run independent amps/wiring, make a note of that its just for people who want to use factory wiring. also you dont have the cut the carpet staples... you remove the rubber channel and the carpet moves out of the way, then you can run the wiring right in the factory plastic wire channels, what you did just ruined the carpet, just fyi so add a disclaimer. rca and remote wires you can run right down the console, under the carpet and pops out in the rear seat. super easy, especially if you have 4 sets of rca's. I agree legends need new stereos but just do it right lol. ps toss some caulking or silicone on that power wire into the rummer grommet.. it will catch water and put it in ur interior otherwise
Comments like this won't help a beginner. You should make a writeup with photos or a video on how you like to install audio in this car if you really wanted to help. I made this video since one didn't exist yet, yet I still pulled it off and am able to help others do the same now.
@@brandongomez6172 no, you can pop the rear seat, then there’s a little piece of carpet behind the center console. U remove that and if you can reach your arm under the carpet to under the rear seat. Taking the console out is like 5 screws super easy too.
Oh, Brother, she’s beautiful. I really missed her but I know she’s in good hands. I’m very pleased to see her again. Thank you for sharing ❤
Of course! More legend videos on the way.
What a solid run through top to bottom! Tedious job but as you say "well worth it". Thanks for documenting 👏🏻
For sure!
Well done! Thank you for making this instructional video.
No problem
Bloop
Another fun one to watch man. Thanks for the video, and keep it up!
Thanks for the support brother!
I love you. You are my savior 👏

Good tip! If I pick up a gen 1 legend one day maybe I'll make a video on that
FYI, 1991-1992 are Gen 2 Legends (early models), but just in case it was a typo, lol!! 😂🤣
My 1992 Legend LS it’s looks the same in the video nothing different

A coupe would be cool!

Thanks! I just went with brands I like and double checked each one fit on the crutchfield website!

I miss the 90s car man! Acura and Lexus...
You can still buy em! They just need a little more love now

Great work! Keeping the Oem unit?
Thanks and yes I am, may rebuild it one day
Nice excellent video my friend
How does the sub sound ? You should make a video of the end results 😊
Sounds awesome, I find myself even turning it down sometimes. Recording it with my phone would not do it justice
Quick question about the tweeter section of the rear deck lid, did you do anything to those speakers?
Nope just left them
Now I’m starting to think my car needs a new sound system 😏
Do ittttttt
Estimated price all together??
How much did this entire set up cost?
Will factory amp work with aftermarket android radios? Trying to get one for my 91 legend

Can I put apple car play in a 95 legend
Hell yeah you can. Just find a single or double din head unit with apple car play. And buy the right adapter harness from metra
My radio stops working after a couple seconds from turning on the ignition, fuse is good, no idea why is it doing it
Test the red and yellow wires going to the back of the head unit, if you have power there but the head unit won't turn on, it's your head unit
@@kraftingkars will do, the lights on the head unit buttons works all the time tho
@@kraftingkars thanks for your reply
Hooked up a new amp and only receiving bass from all four speakers? Anyone have any idea on how to get voice from speaker
Check your hpf and lpf settings on your head unit. If your hpf (high pass filter) is set too low it could be filtering out all sound above bass frequencies ~60hz.
You could also have these hpf and lpf settings on your amp so check that out as well! Hope this helps!
It’s CORN😋🌽
We ain't bringing that back 🤣
