damn! I'm in the same situation and I should have have thought to do this. I just bought a fan online (hope it's the right one because, yeah, there are no oem parts available for this anywhere). Awesome improvisation.
And I only spent $70 on the fan and zip ties. I hope you get yours! They cancelled my order twice because they didn't have the original fan, not even the body shop was able to get it from anywhere
I'm about to grab an electric fan assembly from whatever measures out the closest at the junk yard and mount it in. I can't find a used one In San Diego county. I am going to see if 94 to 04 mustang V6 would fit . The big single electric fan is on most of the time on those cars. And they are everywhere! Nice install. Thanks for sharing!
We are in the same boat and the shop is telling us to wait 4 months for the part... if I had disposable time and income, I wouldn't be driving a midrange car. Obviously I need my car and cannot afford to let it sit unused for 4 months while I pay my car loan and insurance - LOL. We will be trying this! Thank you!
eBay has them for about $50.00 +/- depending on which one you need, and the site will check to see if the fan you are ordering is compatible with your vehicle.
Why cut out the process? 2 bolts my ass. How about the rest of the stuff that gets in the way...how to avoid damage to the radiator....I could ask the guy down the street and get a better how to by word.
thanks so much for this, this is the most helpful video since nobody has the part

Daniel Harrison did you get it replaced??
@@alexcourtney461 yes, I did it just like the video because there were oem parts available. Not sure if anything has changed since then though.
@Daniel Harrison so your still running with it? Running good? Any change in the mpg?
I have had my rogue for weeks! And just came across this video! I am gonna try and get my vehicle and do this tomorrow!

Not when the video was made.
Amazon $80
Yup. Just ordered me one today.. everyone wants $697 along with a long wait
Good job. Wish you had more details.
I got a 2018 nissan rogue sport
Did you ever get the fan replaced with an OEM?
How did you connect the wire? After you reinstalled the fan assembly back into the front of the car?
That one goes one back of the radiator, and the wiring i just cut it and put it together, if you do it make sure the fan is pulling and not pushing
Thank you!
How is this holding up and will it work out for a 2017 nissan rogue sport as well?
what in the backyard macgyver shit is this? lol. well done.
Hi , Where did you get the hood rack???
You really can’t find them anywhere!!!!
How long it take to do this?
Not more than an hour
If it is parked for a long time, the car heats up. with that fan
