@@habibiranch I don't know. I would definitely go for the high car turbsky, body kit and radiator. Maybe even fuel injectors.
In my opinion, for crucial part like turbo, radiator, and suspension i would used high part and the rest will be the low part.
Sometimes the difference in price is not manifested in performance but rather ethics. You can have a company that develops and builds their products paying their workers fairly, and another company that stole their intellectual property, and is making the exact same product illegally whilst paying their workers like shit and having terrible working conditions.
Sometimes the extra money isn't necessarily toward performance.

One reason I love this series, is because it shows how wrong shit goes when you try and work on vehicles. It's never as easy as just installing new parts. Something, somewhere, will go wrong which causes you to lose your mind. Lol a 2 hour job will always turn into a 6 hour job.

Literally me late last night lol... Fitment issues with a new intercooler I installed. A lot of little things being tighter or more inaccessible than anticipated, then when it was all done my test drive gave me a CEL... Turns out I switched the connections for the fog light and the Ambient Air Temp sensor smh...

I absolutely love the whole group working together on the videos.
When I upgraded the radiator on a 2001 Miata, I just reused the stock fans. The slim aftermarket ones they use don't work as well and are mostly for clearance if you have no space left over from a larger radiator.
guys, Zs have a known issue to cook the oils as well, you should consider adding oil coolers to them. just to be safe and it could be a nice hi-lo episode between cheap oil coolers with rubber hoses and those expensive mishimoto ones with braided lines and AN fittings, see if they really make a difference.

And you do realise that mishimoto braided hoses and AN fittings are just chinese braided hoses and chinese AN fittings. And you do realise that theres not enough pressure in the system to require a overbraid and AN fittings, they only require pushfit fittings and oil resistant pushfit hose, right?
Get a Forge motorsport one or maybe get a HKS or the like.

I'm 96% sure back in the day when I had an 05Z I wound up using the Megan Racing rad from low car and the fans/shroud from high car when I needed a new radiator. It was pretty awesome.
This series definitely makes me think about buying another one but also reminds me why I shouldn't.

Its all in how you design your car. They are just bolting parts on seemingly randomly. If you are meticulous in your planning and know what you are doing, problems should not be too bad or extensive. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER BABY!

Anti-freeze does more than preventing freezing,
it raises the boiling point,
it lubricates, and prevents rusting.
Doesnt it also have anti-microbial properties (i.e. fungicide etc) to stop anything growing in there?
Edit - looked it up. Bio fouling is present with propylene glycol which increases corrosion through the formation of bacterial films on the inside of your radiation. Not ethylene glycol which is the main coolant used.
Yeh having read around anti-freeze is incredible stuff! Sort of embarrassing from the team that none knew about why you put anti-freeze in coolant fluids.

and after 3-4 years it had built up alot of rust, and other gunk in the system.
We are not sure, but we suspect it migth have been the reason why his waterpump broke.
So higly recommend using it, even in warm climates.

The Pressure in the system inside raises the boiling point, not the anti -freeze

brian it’s a turbo, and it’s had nothing but issues since I got it just over a month ago. Granted its 30 years old nearly and has 183.5k miles so I’m a bit forgiving. She just needs some deep maintenance and I’m sure she’ll be fine

I just bought a Mishimoto aluminum radiator for my 01Prelude, it’s got the stock rad right now and sometimes its getting up to 220 degrees so hopefully the new one,which is quite a bit thicker, will keep er cool 😎

13:00 - nope nope nope nope; the antifreeze also increases the boiling point of the coolant and it contains small amounts of "seal lube" which help your water pump not leak. It's also got anti-corrosion additives; the distilled water *will* corrode your loop.
ALWAYS use antifreeze.

For radiators, price, thickness, and performance are not always correlated. Previously owned an FJ40 with 350 that had cooling issues with the factory radiator. A very thin flex fan was installed because a previous owner placed the engine too far forward in the engine bay.
Purchased a $200, 3" aluminum replacement, which effectively had no impact. Separated the trans cooler and, still, no impact. Had to go with an electric fan because the flex fan didn't clear the physically larger radiator. A high volume water pump was also added to increase low rpm flow rate. Still, little impact.
Swapped the carb for EFI (megasquirt/tbi) to purposefully run rich to use the fuel, running rich, to try and lower temps - while I was able to get it to help, minimally, the cooling issue still pressed on.
This is where I learned that the thickness of the radiator doesn't impact cooling ability as other factors. So I purchased a 2.5" thick radiator that had 2 rows, but larger diameter inner tubes. It was also a cross flow radiator, which is also more efficient than a standard top/bottom radiator design. This radiator was a bit more custom to install, but the price was around $150 shipped from Summit Racing.
Cooling problems were then, effectively, resolved.
So, moral of the story is that actual radiator design is more important than cost when it comes to performance.
