When you see the crap about today as being supposed comedians, you realise what a genius Freddie was - we saw him perform live, an awesome performance. RIP Freddie - gone but certainly not forgotten.
Freddie was such a funny man. We loved watching him on the box. There is nobody these days who can do the spontaneous comedy he did. Comedy isn't comedy anymore!! Too much P.C., now! This man was treated so badly later in his life by the police and the media. Nobody apologised. All his friends abandoned him when was in need of help. It was a tragedy and the whole YewTree thing destroyed him. Nobody should be deprived of their human rights. He was made to feel like a criminal when he hadn't done anything wrong!! There was no evidence to back up the accusation!! Isn't the law supposed to be just ? You are innocent until proven guilty? What kind of world are we living in?? A persons reputation and whole life can be destroyed by an accusation that has no truth in it. Poor Freddie was robbed of his rights !! t He was not a well man. He was suffering from lung problems and back in 2010 he had suffered a massive heart attack and had to have a quadruple bypass. So he wasn't well physically and this just ruined tge rest of his life.
Des and Fred....what team....it was the only time i watched the show as i know i would be crying with laughter....this was REAL comedy......before the JOBSWORTHS OUT THERE ..AND THEY KNOW WHO THEY ARE...could cook up something stupid like....racist
Freddie Starr moved in the street Iivedin in 1967 cardigan Street wavertree liverpool ñxt door 2 my cousin when I saw haw him he was had his head òvera engine of his car an looked up an said 2my mum is it my body you fancy or my cars😅ha I still love him 1 of our own from Liverpool RIP FREDDIE SADLY MISSED I STILL WATCH HIM ON U TUBE 😢
He was a savvy businessman, bank I worked for did his finance for various schemes, he’d cone into the office to sign a deal and would hand out tickets to a show, so saw him many times, always came away with an aching stomach from laughing so much
From a much greater time pre woke bs, when comedy WAS comedy, and no one was scared of upsetting any snowflakes. Even the likes of Des were brilliant, had great guests on the shows, and like someone already said there was genuine chemistry there between Freddie and Des, it cracks me up just seeiing Des cracking up....fantastic!! Who have we got nowadays presenter wise? The likes of Jonathan frikkin Ross who I can't stand, and yet he's everywhere, not only on his own shows, but always on those god awful panel shows, or on those Ch5 shows about 100 best moments in the 80's or some similar crap, Who else? Graham bloody Norton, can't stick him either! Give me the old comedians and presenters any time over the moden overpaid shower we have now!!
In 2012 I watched a documentary about Freddie Starr from his ex-wife and his daughter and what a horrible despicable little man that he was. He wasn't the household name or the nice person and I remember his ex-wife and his daughter said that they lived in fear of him as you never knew what mood he was in when he came through the door. He wasn't the pleasant lovable comedian household name that I grew up with he was an absolute AH of a man who both physically and mentally abused his wife and daughter that was the Freddie Starr he was the despicable man that he was he wasn't a nice man.
@@jamesbuckingham.2935 Humour is of course subject james. To me he was just an idiot doing idiotic things hoping that people would laugh at him for being an idiot. One of those who wanted fame regardless of talent. Buy fair play yo him, he found it. But he was terrible, not a shred of wit, just a fool, In my opinion.
Nobody ever has been funnier than this man RIP FREDDIE

You don’t get comedians like Freddy star anymore
I thought the mom was shouting "Bison!". The son was flattened by a stampeding herd of bison.
He was a savvy businessman, bank I worked for did his finance for various schemes, he’d cone into the office to sign a deal and would hand out tickets to a show, so saw him many times, always came away with an aching stomach from laughing so much
Not a happy bunny when he was linked up with Mr Saville and co.

He's a good singer but I can't keep my phone straight.

DES should have said don't ever do that to JIMMY SAVILL IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NEARER THE MARK
des even
He was his own worst enemy. Very funny but too outrageous and out of control at times. Just too unpredictable for tv bosses.
Des liked a drink.😂
if your going into the park why do you pay £3 each i would say bugger that its only one car
es stuck by Freddy when others DID NOT THAT MAKES THEM BOTH FUCKING WICKED IN MY BOOKS
And french
The very false laugh of Des O’Connor
Frankly it's terrible
Did you get your humour bypass done on the NHS or privately?
