Des was one off the few people who sincerely liked Freddie and Freddie liked him. They both worked well together. Des sadly missed Freddie was brilliant as both comedian and singer. Mr Sparkling eyes and great smile. Never see the likes of him again. One off a kind.
Freddie and Des worked so well together. Very funny. I absolutely adored and still adore Freddie Starr. Freddie was so multitl talented. He was a naturally funny man. He had a really beautiful voice and was a wonderful Impressionist. A good Actor and he throw himself all over the place. Do the splits!!! Fall down and get right back up again. Very Good looking with a mischievious little boys grin. Unique. You are very much missed and loved Freddie always. 💖💖💖
I was lucky enough to see Freddie Starr twice and he was absolutely phenomenal. No swearing in the first (matinee) gig, but still received a standing ovation - pure class.
He was amazing funny man. Who was the best Elvis ever Even Elvis said he was The gutter press kiled Him, never touch young girls or boys He would not go out of his house any more He did once he looked terrible and put on a lot of weight. He went to Spain to live, the press Was still on his back Thay said he chain Smokey so what Thay should have just left his alone
Love freddie... He did a show at my late grand parents 5oth wedding anniversary many years ago( I was too young to go) but my dad spent the next week talking about it.. The joy freddie gave was so immense. He was a bigger star than he ever knew... Miss him dearly.know one matches him nor ever did or will again..RIP Freddie. you are missed..
Who have we got today who could entertain even half as good as Des and Freddie? Ant n Dec ? Just shows how far entertainment levels have fallen Freddie had more talent in his top lip than those two buffoons have in their whole bodies. RIP Des and Freddie I am so thankful that I saw you both at your absolute best.
Agree, You never seen Freddie driving drunk and on drugs almost killing a poor innocent person and his own Mother, don't find that Ant funny at all since then never watched them, Freddie i did until the end and loved loved him.
Two very talented people a great loss but always will be remembered.saw Freddie star at one of his shows he was brilliant.sad we don't have the laughter like this any more.
@@stevebell9645 Don't agree about Norton don't like him at all and he is shit on Eurovision no replacement for Sir Terry Wogan R.I.P 🙏🏻😥 who could really take the piss out of it like it should be load of shite it is! No present so called entertainers will ever match Des and Freddie Starr ,they were in a class of their own ,these two would have me absolutely rolling around the floor,
Great chemistry between Des n Freddy. Sad how things ended but a true comedy genius, I loved watching him when I was younger .....still hilarious even now!
How l loved the Des O'Connor show and what a special treat it was when Freddie was a guest. Its not rose tinted spectacles, we truly don't have artists of this kind anymore and a 99% serious 'My Way' by Freddie was such a great finale ❤
Freddie Starr was a natural comic a great singer and had people in tears with laughter how sad was his last years Sorrly missed a real comedy act not like the crap today except Mickey flannagan
Danced with Freddie in Blackpool st well we both went to go sane way so he held me and turned me round, also forgot part of his act was falling of stage which he did I ran to help him and was politely told to fu- off he said part of the act omg we giggled and giggled he asked me to go to every performance as my laughter was infectious happier days
i had a pair of those shoes in the 70s they were the best shoes i ever had i used to bounce down the street and i wish they would come back into fashion
Des O'Connor bought out the worst in Freddie Starr as Freddie bought out the humourous and so funny side of Des,I brilliant combination of stupidity and class,,they were unique no other comedians will ever come near them, when they passed humour as we know it died,,I don't think any so called Comedians that we have today have even made me want to watch any of them.
Agree, people who make false accusations should be locked up. Plus, people who judge people on hearsay are just as guilty. They ruin lives. It was disgusting how Freddie was treated.
just great he came from bootstraps to top of the world, a marvelous hard working man, sorry like so many of the REAL talent he has left this "mortal coil:..

I’m not sure of the exact date sorry. I do have all of Freddie’s appearances with Des and it took me a few days to find out the years and then do all the editing of the episodes and clips etc, some clips was put together from more than one source.

Definitely don't make them like that anymore!
was there an episode where Freddie blew his nose on Des O'Connor's tie, and was not broadcast?
A good double act they should off toured together or gone into panto together.
And people today think they have talent
Pity they couldn't come back such males
