Not many ppl realise that Kay does everything he can to avoid answering questions in these interviews. He always brings props and always moves the focus to the set, host or audience. He’s intensely private.

He’s the best at it.
If you watch any interview with him he doesn't like talking about himself. So he just mucks around instead.

Jonathan Ross gives a masterclass in how not to interview every time he records his show. Abysmal. He’s so fake and awkward. The look of someone who thinks someone might twig any minute that he’s unqualified.

He's such a talent. I find I laugh throughout one of his interviews but if someone asked me after what jokes there were in it I couldn't say. He's just funny with no big wind up to a joke. It's effortless and he's certainly one of a kind :)
I find a lot of comedians pre-arrange the chat and the host sets the agenda. A breath of fresh air to see how Peter deals with chat shows.
How do you know this wasn't pre arranged?

I was thinking exactly the same, odd-looking-dude. I enjoyed watching it but was waiting for the bit where Hugh Jackman *really* reacted---and he didn't. Loved Peter walking round the back of the set; put me in mind of the legends he grew up watching---the likes of Freddie Starr and Kenny Everett---doing the same.
Hugh must have loved it because when he came in he tried to scare Jonathan too!
