Sean Ryan in the 1970s I was working the Scotland 🏴 England 🏴 Match at Hamden in Glasgow with a newspaper photographer I was coming down from the directors box and Rod Stewart was coming down the stairs towards me he stopped and talked for about 10 minutes then signed his autograph for me people were walking past and they didn’t have a clue who he was he said your the only one that’s recognised me a really nice guy and very down to earth

I have a friend who manages a large concert venue in Australia so he gets to meet all the big artists and musicians and when I asked him who he liked the most he said Rod Stewart, he said Rod was so down to earth and friendly and even got all the backstage people playing football before the show.
