    Thank you for figuring this out. I ordered the pin soon as I saw this video. Where do I get the clip from for the pin?

    I don’t really care about having a horn but do I still need to swap my clock spring to run an aftermarket wheel

    • @alisn4x4
      @alisn4x4  Год назад

      No, its not required to run the wheel.

    Is your airbag light on?

    • @alisn4x4
      @alisn4x4  Год назад

      I removed the bulb from the cluster. I chose to not do the resistor mod as it can possibly trigger the passenger side if it goes out. I keep the passenger side turned off with the key.

      Thanks for the very clear and detailed video; especially liked including the part numbers! Regarding the airbag light…I appreciate not wanting to trigger the passenger airbag, however leaving the airbag wires disconnected is essentially the same thing as a failed resistor, isn’t it? I did a similar aftermarket wheel installation on a NA Miata using a 3ohm 1 watt fireproof ceramic resistor…those things last for decades in far more stressful circuits in guitar amplifiers.
      Your thoughts?

      @@brakescooper I'm glad it's helped some people out!

      @@brakescooper regarding the wires, one is a power, the other is a signal/ground wire. I left them in the connector so neither will ever make contact. The signal or trigger wire cones from the sensors located at the front of the truck (in yellow harness and casing). Yes it will trigger a light warning about the issue but will not trigger nor affect the passenger bag.

    Did you take the horn wire with clip off another truck or did it come from your tacoma? I have the horn pin/spring

    • @alisn4x4
      @alisn4x4  2 года назад

      Yes, took it off another truck and soldered it on the lead wire that controls the horn.
