🇨🇦 I got a 96 with over 800,000km .. done timing belt 4 times now.. engine doesn’t use ,lose or burn any oil.. doesn’t even turn black with change every 7500 km. Keeping it forever!
Splendid mate. This is what RUclips was created for. I own a Tacoma 1st generation, and as long you give maintenance to the frame, it will always be the best pickup ever made 😊
Man, I love this model. I had two, a 2001 and 2003. The 2001 got into an accident 😢 300,000 miles no issues. Bought a 2003 in 2016 at 115000 miles have nearly 270000 miles on it no issues! A truly amazing truck, fantastic job on that restoration 😊
Thanks for the encouragement it keeps us motivated we do absolutely love tacos. Thanks for watching and subscribing! Check this one out ruclips.net/p/PL_xf8etLwCA0zFpnP5sT15thIPCsnfk_M
Thank you for sharing. Your skills, passion, and attention to detail are inspiring. I have an '04 manual V6 TRD Tacoma Xtracab that I am getting ready for winter. Mountain pass after mountain pass. 20 below to 120° F. She's never let me down. I was tempted to get a '23 since it's the last of the V6, but I figure my girl's still gotta life left in her (176 k).🤘
Hello there Gentlemen. I was just wondering where you guys are located? I loved the 2003 Tacoma restoration. That was an outstanding job you did. I also have a 2003 Tacoma that needs a complete paint job. The frame and interior are super clean. By the way Im in Florida....God Bless...You all take care ....
Wondering how noticable a color change would be if not doing inside the engine bay... Planning on getting mine done some point soon but really dont feel comfortable having them take components out of the engine bay. Id imagine since its originally silver that probably makes it a bit easier to pass off.
@OrangeWiresGarage yes I have a 2 owner 2002 tacoma v6 4 door no frame damage. Paint isn't bad. Has some dings and dents nothing major , Just like to get a new paint. Grill ,headlights, rear bumper,
I'll never understand why people put oversized rims on an off-road vehicle. Tire sidewall is the difference between traction and no traction additionally larger rims and tires with less sidewall creates a significantly harsher ride. Personally I wouldn't go larger than a 16-inch rim which would allow you to do the tundra brake upgrade on this specific vehicle
That 3.4 liter engine is such a good one. It's not particularly powerful or efficient, but properly maintained, will run forever. Good restoration!
Everything you said is 100% true. Thank you for the kind words!

That is a bad ass taco! Great editing… 👍
Thank you! This taco took a lot of time but we think it turned out great!
Beautiful truck and amazing job. Is there any way you could share the paint code? I love that concrete grey color that you guys put on this first gen.
Sure thing the paint code is 1H5 from a Newer Tacoma. Thank you for the support and thanks for watching and subscribing!
Парни! Вы отлично восстановили Tacoma. У меня Toyota T100 и я хочу сделать с ней то же самое. Вы меня вдохновили! 💪🤝👍

I own a 2000 Tacoma SR5 with 130,000 miles on the original engine. Will never give up my Taco. Would love to have you guys give it a face lift.
That’s awesome we appreciate it!
Super nice video my brother has a 97 that needs some refreshing so these videos help a lot
Thanks for the support! You can’t beat a Tacoma
I've got a 01 taco, what wheels are those? thanks for the nice vid.
These are made by Hardrock 20x10 with -19 offset
The music was actually nice. Great work 👍
Glad you liked it!
@Orange Wires Garage Amazing results! How much did this whole process cost? I have a 2003 Tacoma Double cab and was looking as restoring it.
Not counting tires and wheels we spent about $1k in parts and materials. Thanks for watching and send us a pic of that Tacoma when you get it finished
@@OrangeWiresGarage I don't have the knowledge personally to restore it fully like that beauty in the video. Where are you guys located?
@@GoreTorn16 we are in Ducktown TN
@@OrangeWiresGarage Dang! I would love to get my Truck restored by you guys but I am on the West coast
What paint and/color code is that? I want to paint my Tacoma the same color
@@chrisrod657 it is 1H5 Toyota cement gray metallic thanks for watching
How much would this cost to have done lol. I have an 2003 Tacoma. Did you have to do any work on the frame or was it good?
The frame was good so we spent about $1k In parts not counting tires and wheels
What size tires did you put on it? Looks great
These were 285/55/20 s thank you for watching
What would you charge to do a transformation like this for someone?
That’s a tough question and gets brought up a good bit. We just did this one for the fun of it and it’s hard to put a value on that.
Could you do a tutorial on body filler? Great work on this one!!
How much did it cost to restore in total? Looks super clean!
Not counting tires and wheels we spent around $1k in parts and material, not too bad. Thanks for watching and subscribing!

Silver to cement made it easier for sure!
HOW MANY INCHES WAS THE LIFT
how much money spent ??
We spent around a thousand dollars on parts not including tires and wheels.
I have a 1st get with 417k miles on it. To be honest I thought the before paint was pretty good.
What would this restoration cost a customer??
That is hard to say parts are not that bad, but labor will catch up with you really quickly! This truck was our truck so we did it for the fun of it.

@@Gokywildcats11 if there is not a lot of body work and you are NOT changing the color I’d say you could get that done for around $5k

Everything you said right there is not wrong! Thanks for watching!
If the engine doesn’t come out I wouldn’t call it a restoration. Especially after blasting the electrical system with a pressure washer.
Cheap fix new tacoma cost 65 thousands dollars made junk parts canada
I hate the music
Turn the volume down.
