How To Make Lime Wash

Ever wonder how to blend up the perfect batch of Lime Wash? The secret is starting with a high quality lime putty - not the powdered stuff you can buy at big box stores. You need a HIGH QUALITY, CARBONATING LIME. For less than what you'd pay for a gallon of plasticized paint that could do irreparable damage, you can get a gallon of lime putty shipped to you. This video will show you step-by-step how to blend the perfect batch of lime wash.
There's a ton of applications for a traditional Lime Wash. We use them all the time to brighten up stone and brick basements. Expect to re-coat every 5 or so years. Fear not, it goes pretty quick. One of our next videos will be us installing the lime wash in a 1920's commercial basement.
