Awesome job on the wall…yep 3 times is always a charm!! The butcher block breakfast bar is a perfect addition to your kitchen!! It’s amazing the patience you have to achieve the perfect look of your vision.
Patience or frustration…🤔 a bit of both
I just wanted to take a minute to tell you HOW MUCH I LOVE & APPRECIATE your full disclosure style videos! NOTHING ever works for me like the videos and I feel like a failure! Lol! I love your fearless learning as you go attitude! So inspiring!!! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you so much! I think sharing the failures and mistakes are just as important as sharing what works 🥰
Maybe stain the tops of the stools and paint the bottom the same color as your cabinets…just one idea 😊
That’s kind of what I was thinking 🥰
Love the lime wash and the table!! I can’t wait to see what creativity you will bring in your kitchen makeover!! Also thank you for showing what works and was doesn’. Really love your honesty!!!
I can’t wait to share the rest of the kitchen with you! It has been a big project I can’t wait to be done.
Thanks for the video! You made it all so real. You showed all the steps and flaws, leaving nothing out. Your encouragement helps! Thanks again!
I’m glad you found it helpful 🥰
this was actually really helpful thankyou so much man!
Stools: sand, stain seat to match counter, paint legs black to match bar brackets.😊 Use black accents throughout kitchen to tie it all together!
Ooo I didn’t think about painting a color to match the counters. That’s a great idea
It going to look gorgeous. I love how the wall came out. You were determined and stuck with it. I would stain the tops of the stool to match and paint the legs black or your cabinet color. Thanks Angela 🖌️
Thank you! I am thinking the same for the stools 🥰
I prefer dark wood, but it depends on your taste and color scheme of your kitchen. What makes your eyes happy :)
I love a good dark wood
That's awesome work. I'm always grateful for your honesty and transparency. For the stools you can do that dipped bottom look.
That’s a good idea I like that look 🥰
...I think she means " depth ", not width. Lol. ( when putting the piece on top of the brackets, when dry fitting it first). The Width / length is the same thing. The Depth is a different measurement. :) I'm not being critical of her, I see this often, with " Width " and " Depth ".
As far as the bar stools, ... I would paint them, either the white colour of the Island, or a SOFT black to match the brackets of the eating area you fashioned. Every room needs a touch of black to " ground the space " and it does make a difference. The eating bar looks great !
Did the other Italian FL color turn a little pinky? I’m aiming for more earthy than whitesh.
Can i use alum powder or does it need to be alum salt ??
Looks great. How did the lime wash wall hold up over time considering it’s near an eating area and cleaning lime wash can rub it off a bit. Just wondering how you deal with touch-ups when necessary.
It has held up really well I’m very careful when cleaning the bar top not to touch the wall. It definitely happens but the lime wash hasn’t rubbed off there yet. I ended up doing the rest of my kitchen with the lime wash and behind my garbage can oddly it has warn off. I haven’t tried to touch it up yet. I need to figure that out though because I’m planning to move this year. I think I’m going to try and just brush it on only where it has rubbed off so it doesn’t affect the surrounding area
@@angelajonesdiy That's interesting feedback, thanks. My family slop food around a fair bit, so I think they'd massacre a limewashed wall, but maybe not ... I wonder how easy and successful touch-ups are? I guess you'd have to make another cloud? I wonder is the texture gritty or hard to clean? If you don't have small kids (or strange adults) who wipe their hands all over the walls, it's likely a non-issue.
