I enjoy using grease...my hair loves it! I only use it on wash day once my scalp is clean and hydrated. I don't use it again until the next wash day.
great strategy!👏🏽🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
That’s exactly how I also use sulfur 8 grease only on wash day on my scalp and then for the rest of the two weeks I use my homemade oil concoction on my scalp. It really works for me.
Same exact thing I do, too.
I tried the whole moisturize and seal with creams and oils several years ago, but I didn't like the fact I had to do it every day. For me, it was too much manipulation in my hair and wasn't realistic keeping up with it on a daily basis because I didn't always feel like taking my hair down and moisturizing and sealing every single day. But because grease is so thick and moisturizing I can use it once in the week and not have to reapply anymore in that same week because the moisture of the grease is so great, which means the product last so much longer because I'm not constantly needing to reapply it. That and hair creams and oils are more expensive together than one jar of hair grease. Oils and creams can spill often too easily, but dropping a jar of hair grease on the floor is no issue because its so thick and solid,so it never spills out of its container. Plus with the possibility of spilling accidents or using too often hair oils and creams don't last as nearly as long as hair grease does. Plus hair grease is less than five dollars for a huge jar that will last me up to a year or more because of its thick consistency. With all that, I just said I ain't never giving up my grease ever again its enough for me.
Grease is the only thing that keeps my hair moisturized more than a day
Love this for you 🌺
I agree nothing can keep my hair moisturized 😩😩 it be dry as everr
Same!! I tried the whole moisturize and seal with creams and oils but I didn't like the fact I had to do it every day. For me it was too much manipulation in my hair and wasn't realistic keeping up with it on a daily basis. That and hair creams and oils are more expensive and don't last as nearly as long as hair grease does. Plus hair grease is less than five dollars for a huge jar that will last me up to a year or more because of its thick consistency. Yeah I ain't never giving up my grease ever again.
That's why you use a leave in or cream moisturizer on freshly washed hair then seal in the grease. Now if grease is not an option Castor oil and avacado oil or good also.
True
I used to use grease when I was still washing my hair weekly and I did use a sulfate shampoo. Now that I’m washing my hair every two to three months, shea butter is far superior, and I use African black soap to cleanse my hair. I also like for my strands to be weighed down and Shea butter does that much better. But I do keep a stash of grease as a backup…just in case! 😆 Thanks for the video! 🌸
Ahahah! Love it! Interesting you talk about loving your hair weighed down! Thought I was the only one since everyone seems to think weighed down hair ain’t cute 🥰
Just started back using Blue magic grease this week
I love using a light grease when I'm further in my stretch. It works well.
Great video ❤
God-Bless you 🌸🙏🏽
Nice 👍🏽
I also tend to stay away from grease. It has its uses, but generally doesn't play well with my hair. There's a british youtuber I enjoy watching however, Miss Lauren Leigh 11, who has lovely hair, and ALL she uses is grease. Her channel is super nice and informative.
Thanks for sharing!! let me check her out!🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️
I just started using hair grease since June of this year and the results have been amazing for me. Prior to it's use, I had issues with using oils, castor oil in particular, and Shea butter. For some reason my hair was always dry and I found myself moisturizing every three days sometimes more often. This issue was happening for quite some time. I was shampooing every two weeks with soapnut which by the way is fantastic and not harsh on my hair. Started watching videos about hair grease. I'm not a stranger to it at all just remember my younger days as the go to for my hair. Light bulb moment, I incorporated into my hair regiment and the dryness has finally been defeated. I don't put grease on my scalp actually I don't put anything on my scalp at all. Discovered my scalp doesn't appreciate oils or anything else. I don't have a problem with moisturizing while using grease, my hair stays subtle and manageable for days. I think I moisturize twice before washing my hair. I've been able to wash my hair only once a month now, I use soapnut for cleansing, deep hair mask, leave-in and my grease. I wear my hair in twist always and the growth has been tremendous. Love watching your content always. ❤❤❤❤
I loved it 🥰 ! I know grease can be a great addition to different routines. love how simple your routine is. I defeated my dry hair issue with glycerin and castor oil but experienced severe dryness with grease 😏🤷🏽♀️ very interesting…
My thoughts are beautiful, healthy,Comment, love and hard work....Your hair is my goals,And if I must say so myself ,your inner beauty shines through each post as well.....keep up the good work 🥰🥰🥰🥰
😳 you just uplift and encourage people for free?!?! What a rare soul! Thanks sis 😍 I love us! Our hair and what we stand for as a people 🥰
I so agree. ❤
Yes Fumination!!!🙌🏽😜 Great minds think alike 😉 I used to like, then dislike grease. I am now back to it. It is protecting my hair and has increased my length retention 🙌🏽 I don’t grease my scalp though 🤷🏽♀️🥰🤗💋💋💋
Love it!! nice when we find what’s working for us!🌺
Hair grease works well for moisture retention. People just don't know what they are doing. Grease is not the problem if you wash your hair. Folks believe dirty hair grows or the neglect their hair in a protective style. Use a clarifying shampoo and then a moisture shampoo. Please don't grease your scalp if you plan on not washing your hair for more than 2 weeks.
thanks for your perspective sis👍🏽
You should watch Curly Chemistry video on hair grease... very educational.
I have 😊
I use grease on scalp and hair aand its great with my high porosity hair keep my hair soft and mosturized for long and also when i twist or braid my hair with grease it turn out fantastic
Thanks for sharing!! love this for you!
I like grease for African Hair Threading and coating my hair in winter. I use it on an as needed basis.
Oh cool, never thought to use it like that
I love Fumi and Fumi Nation. She's the big sister / aunt we all need 😍😍.
For my hair, I disliked grease because of the build up. I looooveee Castor oil all the way!!
yayyyy Fumination!!!🥰🥰🥰
Fumi Nation-Yes!
💃🏽💃🏽😊😊
Yes I watch Fumi she a sweet and funny soul🙏🏼😇👍👌💯
yes 🤣🌺!!!!
This matches my experience a lot. I love grease when it goes on, but a couple days later my hair is so dry and I can't get it moist again until I wash it with shampoo. I've found that castor oil has a similar effect for me, too occlusive. It seems I have to accept my hair is going to lose moisture, so just use a light oil that allows me to add more moisture between washes. Trying to seal in moisture only seems to seal it out. 🤷
I think adding humectants specifically glycerin changed my game when it comes to moisture 🌺

I love fumi!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I like my hair worn down!!
❤️❤️❤️
Grease on lips not the hair nor scalp.
Olive oil, flaxseed oil.jojoba oil and vitamin e along with glycerin and moisturizing conditioner helps to keep my hair moisturized and lubricated.

Thanks for sharing 🙂.
Thanks for sharing!! Thanks for always sharing scripture 🌺
Speaking of glycerin, is it safe to use the glycerin spray mix directly on the scalp?
yes!
@CoilyDiaries Great thank you!
My hair has been thriving using TGIN Miracle Curl Food Daily Moisturizer and Blue Magic Indian Hemp grease with green tea leaves, jojoba, aloe and sunflower. I have very thick 4c hair, since using this routine my hair feels thicker and is growing very well. I use OGX tea tree mint shampoo and conditioner with tea tree oil, peppermint and witch hazel. Thanks for sharing, I always take something new away from your videos.
amazing! love it when we figure out what works for us !!🌺
Please what is the difference between grease and butter? Which one do you think is better for hair growth?
butter is not made of petroleum. so things like Shea butter mango butter cocoa butter. grease is petroleum based. they both lock in moisture and can help with length retention. which one you choose depends on your routine and what your hair likes. I use castor oil
Great video as always..... thanks for the information..... questions can honey be mix with condition... is it safe.......
Yes it is as long as you are using it in one go and rinsing it out
@@CoilyDiaries thanks so much.....for replying as always.....blessings and favor over your hair Chanel in Jesus name🙏 ....

Grease makes my hair so soft but greasy 😂
I know the struggle 😅
Ugh I can’t use grease on my daughters scalp. It will be ok for about 2 days then she’s itching and crying! Prob allergic to it. Fish allergy too…maybe something in the grease she doesn’t agree with. Any thoughts?
Yeah just stop using it if she doesn’t like it. Essential oils work great for me but check with her dr before us
Thanks for the Video ma..But does it means we have to wash grease out form our hair before we remoisturize?
not necessarily, it’s just harder to remoisturise with grease
@@CoilyDiaries
Alright ma
Thank youuuu
Yes I watch her all the time she is phenomenal
