I never heard of single strand knots until I went natural again 7 years ago. As a matter of fact, I've been using these natural haircare lines because of wearing a wash-n-go, which is when I started getting single strand knots. I really believe it's from having the hair out often which cause the curls to wrap around each other. Also, I didn't learn until a few years ago that when wearing a wash-n-go, you need to cowash in between wash days to keep it well hydrated. When coming up most of us didn't have our hair out, it was always braided or twisted and if we had it down, it had been straightened or roller set, hence no knots. Old school worked.
I've started using it on my ends as a sealant and it's helped with breakage. But I definitely have to use a sulfate shampoo. Edit: I'm also a type 4 natural!

In addition to the scalp massage element, grease could be said to 'make hair grow' because it is a super sealant. If hair is properly moisturized and STAYS moisturized then hair breaks less and retains length. So it's not really doing anything for actual growth but it can be a God send for people like myself who have high porosity hair and experience issues with moisture retention and frizz. My hair stays soft longer, as a relaxed girl it keeps my new growth soft and supple, my blow outs and straight styles stay that way until i wash because there's no moisture going in our out after I wash and apply my grease. Oils simply didn't work for me...coconut oil breaks me out horribly. My Blue Magic, Sulphur 8 and Vaseline keep me covered. Plus i can base and cover my ends before a relaxer to prevent run off damage. I have fallen in love with grease all over again
I'm 4c and I use to grease my scalp and hair, but I have gotten away from it for a while and my hair started breaking off, so glad you said it was okay because I had forgotten my routine for awhile and I intend to go back to it.
I went through 3 years of being natural trying to seal with oil and my hair was like "Chile Bye!" Hair grease and sulfate shampoo work well for me. I think it is "follow the yellow brick road..." 🤣 Thank you for this video. I have been waiting for your opinion on this subject. Stay safe...
I grew up on water, Ultra Sheen, Sulfur 8 & Pink Lotion. My aunt every 2 week routine was wash with flex shampoo/conditioner, towel dried, palm full of pink lotion & some sulfur 8, twisted and air dried over night, then pressed in the am. Before my aunt started that process my hair was stuck on pause. She DID NOT MASSAGE my scalp unless washing serves as a massage. I started using all these new “ natural products” that all you hair guru’s speak of and my hair went back to pause! I went back to water, moisturizer and grease, my hair started growing again. I think people need to do what works for them. If it don’t apply let it fly. GREASE AND WATER WAS THE STAPLE OF MY NEIGHBORHOOD AND MAJORITY OF THE GIRLS I GREW UP WITH HAIR WAS SHOULDER - ALMOST WAIST LENGTH. Soooo idk why we stopped a method that worked and started paying all this money for products that’ don’t work as well on type 4 hair for some people.
Not all but some hairdressers use such high heat to speed up the service to get as many clients in and out, but not good for health of the hair. Still love my roller wet sets no heat, when time allows ☀️
Hey Lin, thanks a lot for telling us what grease is actually for. Some people's scalp got clogged from grease once perms & relaxers got super popular some didn't wash hair timely after that, until we got schooled. Before some people got their hair pressed & curled every two weeks (I did) so even if you were using grease regularly the right or wrong way your hair was washed on schedule. Grease is a a good sealant like some other products as well.
Thank God! I haven’t watched all of your videos but those that I have watched have been pleasant. I don’t have to listen to a video and be insulted every time a word is spoken, giving me knowledge. Thank you for this informative information, I do appreciate it.
I have eczema and my dermatologist referred grease to me and it has helped keep my scalp moisturized along with aloe vera. It is dependent on your scalp situation. But grease has it purpose.
Oh definitely! It can absolutely have its benefits, not if you had seborrheic dermatitis it would worsen things. This is why I shared this video, because when people know more, they can do more. 😊🙏🏽❤️

I keep my hair in twists and use petroleum free grease after my water-based moisturizer. My hair holds moisture till wash day. I like grease because a little goes a long way. I don't have to use a sulfate shampoo. 2-3 washes of shampoo and I get lather on the first wash. I wash weekly. My fave greases are from Natural Oasis, G Naturals, and Kemistry Organics.

My hair used to eat up grease back in the day as a kid. Now, that I've switched to oils (Coconut, Extra Virgin Olive, Peppermint, etc.) My hair stays moist, soft, and not as tangled as before. As a matter of fact, my hair texture seems to be much softer now than it's ever been in my life! I'm not bashing grease or anyone who still uses it but my hair seems to benefit more from oils and deep conditioning.
Thank you for sharing, shea butter is a better moisturizer for me, but I also incorporate grease. I use the shea butter at night and the grease during the day. And I wash with a sulfate shampoo.
I used grease when I was young. You know at home, getting my hair straightened at the kitchen stove. From what I can remember and pics from the old days, my hair wasn't too cute. As I got older with Relaxers, I stopped using it. Now natural for 2 1/2 years, I still don't use it and my hair is actually quite beautiful.. Horn tooting😂😂. I used to message early in my nat. hair routine then I stopped. I just started back with the message and I love the way it feels. FYI- You are fab!!!

Great video.... just as a medic I want to advice though for seborrheic dermatitis the initial recommendation is to use a comb and gently remove the flakes then use an emollient such as petroleum jelly esp in infants and toddlers with frequent hair washing IF that doesn’t work then you will need medicated shampoos. AND natural oils like olive oil in a study may be an excellent medium for some fungal infection to grow worsening SD. Just wanted to clarify that. Love ur channel just found it 😬
I am here to disclose that last week I used vaseline, I washed my hair today and it did wash out with a sulfate free shampoo. I also coated my hands with it and washed them with the shampoo and it was gone with one wash (although I always wash twice to make sure my hair is clean and ready to be styled). So... You don't need harsh shampoos to wash out pretoleum jelly 🤷🏽♀️
@@daisiesandpandas1218 true story fam, they make sulfate free clarifying shampoo, and at this point they also make sulfate based shampoos that are more gentle than some sulfate free lines. Long story short, as long as you can get it off the hair so you can restore moisture to the hair, that’s the goal! ❤️🙏🏽
Good morning, my take away from this is too use a natural oil that will penetrate my hair and scalp for hair nutrient benefits and use the grease for sealing the hair. A clarifying and sulfate free shampoo are needed to properly cleanse hair. Good information, I enjoyed it, and I am glad you broke things down and gave more clarity and you manage to highlight benefits of using hair grease. Sometimes we just need to be re-taught on how to use our hair products. Blessings my Brother.😊🙏
I even had a beautiful Silk Press back in November, unfortunately, my ignorance about the SILICONES used during that process, led to 5 months of horrendous breakage, and bald spots of which I am just now recovering from by The Grace of God, with lots of water, Clarified cleansing, hair masking, deep conditioning, vinegar rinses, leave-in conditioning and--good ole hair grease (LOL) I also contribute a lot of props to Miss Cathy Howse, (Black Hair Care II) the first pioneer of Black Hair Care, citing the lack of MOISTURE as being the Black Woman's long time enemy towards the lack of hair growth and retention. I thank you for your informative videos
I live in Trinidad n Tobago. I went natural 7 years ago...with 3 big chops since. I got caught up in the RUclips natural hair movement of no petroleum no sulphate shsmpoo preepoo, cowash. .,etc etc etc..it has been very very expensive and mind bongling. I threw out all products end of 2019 took hair cut. I now make my hair grease with mostly olive oil castor oil and essential oils just how my mother made it for her girls hair and we all had very long hair past shoulder length back then. Weekly shampoo n conditioner back then was with the prickly pear gel. Now 2020, with my homemade hair grease My hair is now free and growing, and i am stress free. I find the popular imported ones are much too oily for our climate and tends to dry hair, Your expert advise on the need to use sulphate shampoo. Thank you. I gave a massive prickly pear cactus in my front yard and using the gel on natural hair makes it very very soft indeed. What's your take on this ?
I compared my leave in to my blue magic hair grease and...the slip and softness I got when I combined both was much better than using them individually 👌

In the summer my girls swim all the time. I usually keep their hair braided. I use a leave in conditioner , a good moisturizer and B&B hair grease. I never put it on the scalp more toward the ends. It's the only time I put grease in their hair. I'm doing something right!!
Linwood.. honeyy.. do you remember Isodine/ IsoPlus? My sister and I are 10yrs apart.. she was home for a funeral.. I noticed that her hair line was receding.. but it was really bad in the temple area. I had some Isodine.. put some in the balding areas at the temples. She was home about 3-4 weeks... She started getting strands of hair on both sides! I told her to get a case of it.. she didn't.. she's not the kind to do that.. and right now her hair line is almost ear to ear.. GONE. NOW ME.. I never liked my hair feeling greasy.. but I would oil my scalp a couple of times a month.. and everyday give my hair an excellent hair brushing to distribute the natural oils throughout my hair. There was another product called Anzalae.. had bergamot.. other skin healthy ingredients.. it was THICK and heavy so I used just a dab to my scalp and brush well.. my hair went CRAZY.. I've been looking for it.. can't find it.
I love watching your videos! I appreciate the laughs, realness, professionalism and just everything about your delivery as well. 🙂 Thank you for the vital information!
Wow you are a genius Linwood. I follow Dr Dray on RUclips she is a dermatologist and she teaches how petrolatum based products are good to prevent water from escaping the skin 😍😍😍 She also talks about how oils are not good for seborrheic dermatitis. You are right on.
Thank you for this question!!! I was thinking the same thing. I guess applying it in moderation to the scalp rather than slathering it on? I'm thinking of going back to it tbh
I grew up on hair grease and till this day I still use it. I have severe dry hair. I can moisturize my hair and literally 2 days later. It feels like some dry straws! And I'm African-American with a nice texture. But it's just dry all the time. So grease works for me and it grows my hair. Can't explain it all I know is that it works for me personally!❤
I am absolutely loved this video so unbiased and so informative. Grease is a preference and I have re-discovered it as a sealant but it will not be gracing my scalp, however I have seen the tremendous benefits of applying it to my hair. My hair has always not been a fan of oils as a sealant infact it makes my hair so frizzy so I stopped using most oils expect castor oil only when my hair is soaking wet but in small amounts. Putting grease back into my regime has allowed my hair to actually stay moisturised, less frizzy and more protected and best of all less shedding and breakage which is allowing my hair to grow because its in a cocoon with the leave in applied before the grease and I am not going back. I have managed to refine my haircare routine and my hair is much healthier.
I can't use Coconut oil but I love to cook with it, and my mother did use Dixie Peach on my hair as a little girl.. but did get that Coconut oil on it first most of the time. now for me if I do use it it is not as much and I never had a problem with dandruff .. but i just use Shea Butter after a wash.. I have a few bald spots so my mind is not for all the things most people are talking about..Thank you for the beautiful video. stay safe and blessed..Smiles
Hey there, 4c sufferer of seborrheic dermatitis. Visited a dermatologist that diagnosed this. Was given a steroid topical solution as well as a medicated shampoo. I stopped using it all because of how dry dry dry and brittle it made my hair. I've been natural heat treating my hair with a stylist for 2 years every two weeks. I've picked up some length but it will not retain, it breaks and can still be dry but not as dry as before. I've watched several YT influencers and you have been the 1st to say anything about 4c low porosity seborrheic dermatitis hair. I'm at my wits end, and am thinking of going back to my short hair style but I can't because of the seborrheic dermatitis, getting a perm and having that condition is HELL! I'm sorry this is so long, I really just need your help. But thank you for this valuable info here 👏🏾🙏🏾
My mom used hair grease and baby oil growing up and my hair was to my waist. But I just cannot with petroleum anymore and baby oil is too oily for me as a adult. Moved towards more natural oils and hair thrives ☺️ My hair type is similar to yours so keep bringing the hair tips please !
I wish I had discovered grease sooner but I’m glad I did! I grew up on it. But when I became an adult and wanted to go natural I tried to go natural. Being natural has been extremely hard so many downs very few ups. But then I had a daughter and said I need to get it together! One day I decided to go back to my roots BEST DECISION EVER! After shampooing and conditioning going in with grease on my 4c is the BEST THING I COULD HAVE EVER DONE! It made my hair soooo soft! My hair hasn’t felt this moisturized and soft while dry for as long as I can remember. My daughter has beautiful 4c hair, it’s softer than mine. But just like mines after shampoo, conditioning, and oiling (usually with coconut, olive,or avocado or all mixed together) once her hair is dry it feels dry or brittle but you can feel the oil. Like mine it would be impossible to comb without wetting with water and adding leave in. But baby once I added the grease to her routine her hair became soooo soft and as it dried it stayed soft and I could comb through it! Sooo happy I discovered this. Happy that my baby is going to grow up loving her 4c unlike me ❤️ must apply while the hair is wet.
I love love love your videos. You’re teaching style is extremely edifying. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge ❤️🙏🏾 I could listen to you teach all day.
This video made me remember the time my baby sister lathered up her scalp and neck with blue magic and went out into the summer heat...first time I found out that you could indeed be black and get sunburn. 😂😂😂😂 Random question but would Lusters Pink lotion be considered a moisturizer or a grease?
😂😂 but seriously Lusters first ingredient used to be petroleum I would say that would qualify it for grease I think . But Linwood said use it with wisdom. Not on the scalp. Also mineral oil is very drying I think.
Thank you for giving a us for informing us (as professional ). It’s no wonder many are using grease. Personally I stop using grease when I stop using a hot comb (our parent never let me and my sister get perm), so I get around 22 years old. Now I return to my natural hair texture. I didn’t we could use grease before going to a pool (I’ll keep it mind). Thanks for another informative video.
Whenever my hair looks dry or flakey, my mom is always the one telling me to slap some grease on it. I know it doesn’t help. Thank you for confirming that for me.
Everything is not for everyone. Grease make some people hair grow, and some prefer regular liquid oils. Always make sure you use a good shampoo and conditioner. Ty for your videos Linwood.😊
Dear Linwood, I really appreciate your humor. You always catch me off- guard with your shenanigans & comments. I laugh so loudly that one day my neighbors are going to bang on the walls to tell me to pipe down!!😂😂😂 I live in Spain in an area where there is no one who knows how to do my hair. I know that there are many other non-military sistas living in S.Korea, Japan, Europe, some Latin American countries who have no professionals to do their hair either, so your channel is a life saver. Preach on brother! I hear you loud and clear! THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR EXPERTISE❤❤ I truly hope people are listening. Shampooing (moisture) is the key and grease/oil is a sealant
Thanks for setting the record straight Lynnwood!, I needed to know this for some long, we used grease back in the day because that's what we saw, but I stopped using it so many years ago, and visit my stylist regularly for maintenance and to keep it strong and healthy. ✋ 💖
For me...I am done with all these products supposedly good for natural hair. All I know is that my hair is softer and the moisture is locked in with good ole fashioned grease. When I grew up in the 1950s most women used grease and hot combed their hair (not flat iron.) I look at the pictures of women back then...no locs or weaves. Natural hair down the back. And mine was long as well until I started using so called 'better' products for Black hair. So I have gone back to old school. I keep my scalp clean but I spritz with water, grease my hair and twist it up.
I wonder.... if I can only use water as a moisturizer like after washing and deep conditioning my hair. Use water as a moisturizer and seal it with hair grease... I wanna try it and see how it works on my 4c hair

My pleasure fam! Thanks for watching!
My pleasure fam! Thanks for watching!
Lol there a lot of information out there, but as long as they are used correctly, sulfates and grease are fine 😊👍🏽
This the one! Hair was down my back in elementary school and now as a grown woman, my hair is half the length that it was back then. Back to Dax I go.
Excellent advice-4C knotted hair does need the grease to help manage moisture.
It can definitely help with sealing and preserving moisture, especially as that hair gets longer
Most ppl use it for the scalp mostly though
It’s better for your hair strands
Hands down my favorite video so far. So informative!
Thank you kindly dear! 😊😊
Very thorough, no rambling, no repeating. Thank you 😊 Very professional.
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Other youtubers had me thinking that grease would magically grow my hair. Thanks for informing me that massaging it is the key. Great video?
Hair is not supposed to sizzle. It took be burning/damaging my hair to figure that out
We’ve all been there 😩 but hey once you learn it, it sticks with you!
Not all but some hairdressers use such high heat to speed up the service to get as many clients in and out, but not good for health of the hair. Still love my roller wet sets no heat, when time allows ☀️
This video has the best explanation for seborrheic dermatitis I've heard and I've had that condition for 3 decades
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
Linwood this is why I love your channel, you educate and inform us. Thank you for all you do.👍🏽❤️
My absolute pleasure!! It is truly my joy😊😊
True story! It can be beneficial, when used correctly!
Thanks again, Lin.
Thank God! I haven’t watched all of your videos but those that I have watched have been pleasant. I don’t have to listen to a video and be insulted every time a word is spoken, giving me knowledge. Thank you for this informative information, I do appreciate it.
It is such a pleasure. Thank you kindly for your feedback and for watching!
I absolutely love you! You got me through cosmetology school and you keep me going
That is awesome! Thanks so much for your feedback! ❤
Loved this advice and information. I always put grease at the ends of my hair because of knots glad to know I may really be helping my hair.
I know you love us and all but I’m still gonna use my hair grease. It keeps my hair moisturized and growing. I love everything that’s bad for my hair grease, sulfate shampoos, and silicones.
Our ancestors been using hair grease forever, and Annie Malone and Madame CJ Walker got rich off of it. We just have to think of how much of it we use.
I'm with you. I grease my scalp and it feels so good . I use my sulfate shampoo and mineral oil, petrolatum products. My hair is actually doing better
He wasn't saying not to use hair grease, but rather that people often misinterpret it's benefits and implications
@Felicia Dunn. WTF! He never mentioned Not using it! Glad you Luv Grease.... Eat a batch too and Self Moisturize your lips at the same time! 😆😆😆😆
Felicia Dunn my hair got SIGNIFICANTLY easier to manage when I incorporated grease, sulfates, and silicones☺️
Always, always, always, such great information! Your knowledge and humor is a continued blessing!!!!
Thanks so much fam! I appreciate your continued support! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thx...for info...I use the LCO method for extreme desert scalp and hair which has help me alot and I purchased the sleep cap you recommended and I'm finally able to keep on my head at night.. I have to constantly keep my hair moisturized because I have overkill sweat glands and I'm in menopause as well...so at times I'm a walking fountain...lol..so my hair drys up quickly...I'm am very happy that you use this platform to help and educate us all...we appreciate you and much love to you and family💜🥰
THANK YOU! This was toooo informative. My hair responds well to thick, old school petroleum grease. Love your channel with actual expert advice. Keep up the great work!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
We came up using grease on our scalp and hair, that's why my hair was never dry even after swimming without a cap. Peace and Blessings!🙏🏾❤️
Thanks for watching!
Me and my sister had long hair growing up, my mom used grease and pressing comb, works great for 4c hair
It's the yellow brick road.🤣🤣 And old people SWEAR by hair grease!! Aka my birth giver
LOL I remembered which road it was once I started editing! 😂😩
Yes ma’am! Grandma’s and moms everywhere talking bout “all you need is grease and water!” 😊
@@GetGlamFam and quick to smother my baby's head with it!!!
Great video as always! You are the first cosmetologist who has helped me to understand how to take care of my hair and about hair in general. Before your videos I was completely clueless! Thank you.
PS. Could you do a video on how people with eczema can occasionally use grease on their scalp?
My pleasure fam! Thanks so very much for watching! ❤
What about growth oils ? There's some many growth oils that say will grow your hair. Can you please do a video about growth oils. What grows the hair. What pile is bad for the hair if any. Thank you. Your video are very informative especially coming from a licensed professional.
cammy6120 he did a video about growing your hair.
So true💯 I just graduated from cosmetology school my instructor taught us the same thing
Amen! Thanks for watching!
NaturallyTD - yes honey toot that horn okay
Thank you so very much!! I feel you on boosting up your hair now! 😊🙌🏽 Thanks for watching!
Yelp, grease is only a sealant and not moisturizer
I took your advice last year and stopped using grease. I noticed in the Georgia summer heat, my daughter's hair was frying in the sun and my dumb self wondered why! I found your channel and faithfully listened to your knowledge, used the products you use and her hair is growing beautifully! I can't thank you enough! Love you guys! 💋

Great information Linwood. You are probably the most transparent Professional I’ve seen on RUclips. RUclips is filled with hair propaganda, surprisingly yours is not. Thanks for the information. Keep it coming.
You are so passionate about separating the truth and lies about all things hair. I love looking at your videos and listening to you. You are also easy on the ears AND the eyes :).
Aww thank you so much! Thanks for watching! ❤
Hey Happy Monday.. I have been waiting for someone who's professional to really set this stuff straight about grease ..Because are hair does produce it's own natural sebum..Thank you so much have a Beautiful week..Facts💯
Thanks for watching!
You are awesome!! Thank you for clearing this up! I was amazed at some of the stuff that I saw on RUclips! Especially the comments that grease is a moisturizer 🙄! But thank you again for getting us on the right track!
My joy! Thanks for watching! ❤️😊
Discovered your channel about a month ago while looking for a hair braiding tutorial and I’ve been watching ever since! Thanks for sharing your years of education with us you’re a breath of fresh air in the sea of confusion they call RUclips. If I have to hear things like all silicones are bad etc. Lawd a mercy anyway thanks I appreciate you!
The instructor I needed when I was in Beauty School. Although I survived and currently a licensed Hairstyist, I didn't learn much.
I’m glad the videos have been helpful!! ❤ Thanks for watching!
I have 3 curl patterns on my head: 3b, 3c, and 4a it’s a mess out here, but my hair is high porosity. Just got back on diluted leave-in and grease and BAYBEEE, she is hyDRAY-TED. Works on all my curls. Blue Magic for the win. Been spending way too much on these curly miracle brands.
Dont ever worry about "lecturing too much". Everyone here should consider it a blessing to have someone to turn to for information people would have to pay hundreds to learn
Aww thank you so very much! I appreciate you watching!
Love ur channel just found it 😬
My 4 a/b loves hair grease for moisture retention (sealant). I use it every day out of the shower after I wet my ahir.
You explained a lot very clearly 🌹
Thanks! Thanks for watching!
I think that so many people had dandruff was because of putting grease on their scalps. Great video Linwood and thank you.
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
" If your hair is growing and your spleen falls out..." 💀 🤣🤣🤣😂😂
Hilarious 🤣
That's scary mannn..I take a hair vitamin NOW!!
Agreed.
Sulfate free shampoo doesn't necessarily mean gentle, they just use alternative cleansers that do the same thing as sulfates.
Ys same to me
@@daisiesandpandas1218 true story fam, they make sulfate free clarifying shampoo, and at this point they also make sulfate based shampoos that are more gentle than some sulfate free lines.
I even had a beautiful Silk Press back in November, unfortunately, my ignorance about the SILICONES used during that process, led to 5 months of horrendous breakage, and bald spots of which I am just now recovering from by The Grace of God, with lots of water, Clarified cleansing, hair masking,
deep conditioning, vinegar rinses, leave-in conditioning and--good ole hair grease (LOL)
I also contribute a lot of props to Miss Cathy Howse, (Black Hair Care II) the first pioneer of Black Hair Care, citing the lack of MOISTURE as being the Black Woman's long time enemy towards the lack of hair growth and retention.
Yes, I either use alikay leave in or briogeo leave in with a grease and works wonders. Hair stays moisturized for days.
I'm so glad I came across your video... I have been using grease for about a month. I needed to know if I needed a sulfate based shampoo. You definitely answered it
Great video! I love this channel! I use hair grease as a sealant for my daughter and myself. We have 4c hair and since I started using it I’ve had a much easier time retaining length.
That is awesome! Thanks for watching!

Very informative great video that is what we need STRAIGHT UP EDUCATION YOU DID THAT keep it coming I love your videos and the laughs.Your passion for what do really shines
I like using grease on my 4c,d,e,f, g ends but not throughout my whole head, it helps with less breakage and manageability for me... Thanks Linwood😘!
Ok, ok....grease does have some benefits😂🤣! And since I have high porosity hair that loves to take up on itself...I might give that a try! Now that tip for swimming.... that's priceless😉. But hopefully we don't have any pull spills in the Caribbean on spring break from all the greased up sisters....lol!!! But seriously I cannot tell you enough how I appreciate the hair wisdom you share with us. And you bring facts with receipts and some much needed humor. You are so appreciated and loved my friend💞!!!!
Lol not the oil spill!!! 😂😂 thank you boo! I’m glad the video helped!!
I have high porosity hair and hair grease has changed my hair life!!! I use the steps suggested by GlamFam...Clean, moisturize, and seal with grease! Game changer!!
Thamks for info... Grease as sealant only. Use on hair before swimming, grease scalp with Shea Buttet or Coconut oil.
Got it . 💕💕💕
I love watching your videos! I appreciate the laughs, realness, professionalism and just everything about your delivery as well. 🙂 Thank you for the vital information!

I just simply ADORE YOU Linwood.
What works for dry sensitive scalps with allergic reactions to coconut, shea, olive oil, jojoba, tea tree, etc...
Wow you are a genius Linwood. I follow Dr Dray on RUclips she is a dermatologist and she teaches how petrolatum based products are good to prevent water from escaping the skin 😍😍😍 She also talks about how oils are not good for seborrheic dermatitis. You are right on.
Thanks for the feedback and for sharing her channel!! ❤
you are so funny, but a really good informer, I can listen to you the whole day, your videos are so educational.
What do you think about Sulfer 8? I’ve heard not so good things but I’ve been using it for my dry itchy scalp and it seems to be doing the trick 🤷🏽♀️
Its good
Thank you for this question!!!
Seriously one of the most awesome people I have watched ever when it comes to natural hair this is my first video and I subscribed.
I’m so happy to hear that! That’s fantastic news! Thanks for watching!
But thank you for this valuable info here 👏🏾🙏🏾
Such good info about grease and what it does! I wasnt sure so thank you!!!
My absolute pleasure, Thanks for watching!
My mom used hair grease and baby oil growing up and my hair was to my waist. But I just cannot with petroleum anymore and baby oil is too oily for me as a adult. Moved towards more natural oils and hair thrives ☺️
My hair type is similar to yours so keep bringing the hair tips please !
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!
This video made me remember the time my baby sister lathered up her scalp and neck with blue magic and went out into the summer heat...first time I found out that you could indeed be black and get sunburn. 😂😂😂😂 Random question but would Lusters Pink lotion be considered a moisturizer or a grease?
😂😂🤣...I'm sorry to be laughing so hard. I'm sure you and your sister laugh about it every once in a while. 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 I laughted out loud!
😂😂 but seriously Lusters first ingredient used to be petroleum I would say that would qualify it for grease I think . But Linwood said use it with wisdom. Not on the scalp. Also mineral oil is very drying I think.
I use the luster’s pink light weight cream. It’s a little less thicc but just as moisturizing
I use Pink Lotion as a moisturizer and base whenever I wear a puff 💕
Thanks for setting the facts straight. I'm always learning how you
Thank you for giving a us for informing us (as professional ).
Dear Linwood,
I really appreciate your humor. You always catch me off- guard with your shenanigans & comments. I laugh so loudly that one day my neighbors are going to bang on the walls to tell me to pipe down!!😂😂😂

The way you just did and make sense.

Your delivery is hilarious. Thanks for making me smile.
My joy! Thanks for watching!
I wonder.... if I can only use water as a moisturizer like after washing and deep conditioning my hair. Use water as a moisturizer and seal it with hair grease... I wanna try it and see how it works on my 4c hair
