@American Born I plan on rocking it after I graduate grad school. I'm in a really intense program but I will have more time to style my hair the way I want after school.
Woman, stop stressing over gray hair. You will be 90 years old, still on RUclips with a head full of beautiful silver hair, looking like you're 40 asking the same questions! My gray is primarily at my temples and if I part it down the middle, I have a line of gray that goes "across" my hair from ear to ear. So it looks like I'm wearing a gray headband! YIKES! I'm 68 now and back in the day, I would stress about the same thing you're talking about now. Then one day I met a beautiful chocolate Sistah who was 76 years old sporting a head full of hair like yours and it was pure silver! She was "Absolutely Gorgeous", and YOU are too! Think about how much upkeep you’re going to have to do to keep that silver from growing back in. Don’t do it Sistah. You will age gracefully and beautifully. Have a BLESSED day! P.S. can you add the link for the hair elastics and I subscribed to your family channel!
Thanks sis! I'm definitely letting the gray hair grow out. I'm not gonna stress over it anymore. I always think women and men with silver hair look gorgeous. I wasn't able to find a company selling the exact hair bands (Ponytail Hooks) online but, I did find a hair band that is very similar. Here's the link: amzn.to/2S1kYRQ

You and your hair are beautiful😍. I've learned that my hair has less breakage and thrives better when it's stretched vs curly. I use that hair grease and my hair loves it
My hair strives on heat. I don't care what the rules are. I have dreads and use warm water to shampoo (borderline hot) and a hair blowdryer all the time. Thats what my hair loves. And when I don't use heat it breaks. Because my hair has low porosity so it needs the heat for the folicles to open and allow the water to get in. Listen to your hair. Nice Video. I usually use the Blue Magic Indian Hemp. That’s great that you’re helping others grow. I’m from the Virgin Islands and recently decided to share my hair journey on RUclips as well.
Recently went back to hair grease. Sulphur 8 on my scalp twice a week, Kuza Castor Oil lotion to moisturize while my hair is still damp and Kuza Indian hemp on top of that to seal the moisture in. It's been about a month since I started this regimen, twice a week. Prior to that my hair was sooo dry and brittle and would tangle at the slightest bit of manipulation. I was using the new age natural hair advice and it totally ruined my hair. I am Caribbean, my mother is East Indian and Spanish. My father is afro Caribbean. My hair was down to about 2 inches off my waist as a child. I grew up and started following along what the new naturals in the US were touting and lost so much length and body over the years. Seemed like the only time my hair would flourish was during pregnancy. I switched back to grease, low manipulation styles and am now ADAMANT about tying my hair up to sleep. Now my hair is so much thicker, at the roots especially. I haven't noticed much change in the length but the HEALTH is so noticeable. I finally have SHRINKAGE and that's something I haven't had since I was a kid!
Wow that's awesome! I'm definitely going to look for the Kuza products...I need to keep my kids hair moisturized a little longer. Their hair eats moisture up so quickly. Thanks for posting your regimen.
You and your hair are ABSOLUTELY beautiful. Honestly I was watching this video and saying to myself that I'm aspiring to have hair that is as healthy and lush as yours. I didn't notice the gray until you mentioned it. Instead of feeling like your gray hair makes you look "old"(which you don't), try flipping your perspective. You've earned every one of those gray hairs because you've been blessed to live the life that you have. If living and enjoying life comes with a few(or a lot) of gray hairs, then that is totally ok!
Can someone please recommend a good conditioner? I am trying to get back to basics. No more vesting my coins to these crazy expensive natural hair products 😤
Your hair is beautiful! Try not to color your greys. Almost every video I've seen of a natural who has colored her hair has regretted it as some point, even if their hair wasn't super damaged. The thickness, luster, and curl pattern are always compromised at some point. Besides that you have to keep the color up. Henna may be an option, but try to embrace your greys. I'm dealing with this very thing now. My greys are very concentrated in the front. I dyed them with henna for a while but I noticed that my hairline was beginning to thin so I stopped and decided to just embrace the grey. I think my hair is a little finer than yours so henna may not affect your hair but please be careful. Watch Mini Marley's take on coloring her hair. She just did a second big chop!
I don't think that hair grease is bad for our hair. It's been made out to be an evil. Our Mums used it all the time on our heads, and our hair was healthy and strong and it grew. Your hair is beautiful so just give it the stuff that it loves.

Oh, and backing up from foods after a certain hour...remember Vanity with Prince back in the 1980s? I met her after she got into the church and was transformed by GOD for real. She was in just a good of shape in later years. She told me how they did things which damaged her organs and she went to dialysis on a regular basis. How she kept herself small was that she exercised and stopped eating after 6PM. That's what worked good for her!
I loved them both, I'm glad she got saved just in time, As we all should be doing. GOD has let a situation come thru. That has the world wearing a mask, like Mucheal Jackson wore. He Mike was also trying to tell us something without even knowing. The next thing God will let in will Shock us . Read Revelation 18: first no good food we like, then he will stop the money .and In Jerimiah 50: and Jer. 51: he will allow feign countrys to band together To attack the USA. He told them to build those weapons America is arrogant, and use to walk in any mans country, but not any more, those Islamics will put them in Cells and hold them for years and the us pres. Can do nothing. China, Russia, Turkey, libya will band together. Just watch the news and get saved by beloved Christ Jesus who Will listen to your prayers the government in all countrys are hated by it's people. That came from Saul's in the old testament Making a blunder on his 1st campaign God gave him to do. All the others now fall into his foot steps, and people don't Like....... c

We're here for you sis. LOL Yes, when you sleep without that cap....UGHHHHHH It's a mess the next morning. Deep Conditioning is a big key to help with moisture. We gotta do it for 2020! xoxo Thanks for watching!
Hey sis, I love your video because you are real and I strongly believe it's your honesty that will help the black natural community more because we all get tired. From watching your video I have leant something new, you are doing very well keep it up and God bless you ❤️❤️❤️
I found out the hard way, my hair hates to be bothered on a regular basis, I keep it simple and my hair is just growing very well without all that extra stuff. Your hair is EVERYTHANG. I love me some blue magic too.
That’s A LOT of hair Val! That lil “Phew” while greasing your scalp was SO familiar. Arms just be Tired!🤦🏾♀️ Your #mane is GOALS! As far as your “process?” If #heat was an ill factor in your hairs health; it definitely wouldn’t be thriving the way that it looks like it is. It actually #looks healthy! My question though, is what is your #trimming schedule! Are you going to be detailing the implementation of, or implementING a “trimming” routine? It’s as vitally important, if not more so, to keep up with #trims as it is to have a healthy overall routine; I think!!🤷🏾♀️ But I’m interested. How often and exactly how do you trim your ends?❤️
Marneen Carter Actually, I trim my own hair whenever I see my ends looking terrible. I definitely need to find a trustworthy stylist in my area to trim my hair and my kids hair.
Omgggg I NEVER thought of blow drying the kinks out 😭😭. Definitely taking this tip. Because sometimes it be like that when you just be to tired or lazy to do anything 🤣. But I'm definitely doing better this year
LOL...girl, it's a lifesaver to blow dry my kinks out when I want to keep my hair stretched out a little longer. I know it's bad but...sometimes you need a hair hack.
You’re the cutest thing! My hair is the same length and density as yours but it’s color treated at the ends. I keep it blow dried primarily just to avoid tangles. I blow it only once a month in the meantime before my next washday and blow dry, every week I moisturize with blue magic and Jamaican mango and lime gro spray (mixed together) to moisturize and seal together without reverting my hair too much. I wear it in twists and oil my scalp daily with a light oil by hair growth co. (It’s $10 😎) sealing with the blue magic mixture, keeping my roots straight with and strands together in twists is great for my hair ♥️
I've been gray since age 16. It's taking over since I turned 50. I think about going completely gray. I always dye it. I need to really focus on why I do that.
grey is the new new! it looks lovely. my grey pattern is the same but when it is out it looks like a golden halo. thanks for the video. you are very sweet.
Lmfaooo Girl your card will definitely be revoked with these crazy naturals. Yes hair grease is my staple. I'm going thru some breakage but it's ok. I did blow dry my "plaits" a few times 2 stretch it" and I think it damaged it after I thought about it! I've cut prob 3.5 inches but it's still long I need it to be healthy from breakage
New to your channeI.... I truly enjoyed this video, your light hearted personality, candor and the fact you don't take you or your hair too seriously. And not only that, you make me smile! Your hair is too beautiful!!! In terms of the grey, I would color it...I think it does age you prematurely, as you have a very youthful face. There will be plenty enough time to let your grey shine through but either way, your rock! By the way, I use the non-permanent color by One N Only with Argan Oil sold at Sally's Beauty and it works great on my natural hair.
the struggle is real, omg I better no wash, and not put grease on my hair,i be mad at myself, because it's a job,i love my blue magic natural 5 yrs,my hair is the same as your, super thick and coarse.
I’m going to do the same thing with my hair. I am 50 and my gray hair is taking over. I am definitely going to figure out if I am going to dye it. I find it hard to manage products. I started going gray at 16.😅
my hair could not grow without grease so I always use it regardless how anyone feels I have the kinda hair that eat grease like water hair grease hair brush
I have the grey streak on the side, wider than yours, I’m okay with it. I’ve had it since I was in high school, it’s just gotten wider. My family go grey early. If I don’t want to look at it I just part my hair on the other side and slick it in a low ponytail.
You know that frozen look You give on here reminds Me of when my daughter told my little nice " Glossie When you with me you'd better not snatch away near the streets, and Glossie gave that same exact smirk, well that's the day Glossie got wiped up and down my hall way by her Mother. Just thinking back. Your hair is nice and thick And all I used was grease and water on my daughters waist length.
I would love to go back natural but I’ve been relaxing my hair for many many years and my hair is past my shoulders & healthy heat is only used when I get it done 2/3 weeks. Ur hair is beautiful natural
Nooo. You can do a warm conditioner and let it sit but No not this. Especially with the butter from the twist still in the hair. That butter and oil is what fries the hair and causes the heat damage but because your hair is coarse it won't be as bad. that is why it should not be touched with hair until it is CLARIFIED.
The Cure I absolutely understand what to do. I just didn’t do it in this video. I started off by saying that I would do some bad things to my hair in this video. Thanks so much for the help though.
@@TMCLYFESTYLE Yes I remember you saying that. I just love your hair so much. lol. I know you know but I wasn't going to scream in silence gorgeous lol

Hi Val, I don't want to be a slave to my hair, yes we all have gone to bed without messing with it..I'm a grey sister mostly in the front- I've seen a few natural uses the henna, I've always used the temporary color that last 6-8 weeks..my resolution is all the same you mentioned..I need to be more active..Hope you and the family are all well..
I love henna. I use to for strengthening my hair
I loved them both, I'm glad she got saved just in time,
As we all should be doing.
GOD has let a situation come thru. That has the world wearing a mask, like Mucheal Jackson wore.
He Mike was also trying to tell us something without even knowing. The next thing God will let in will
Shock us . Read Revelation 18: first no good food we like, then he will stop the money .and
In Jerimiah 50: and Jer. 51: he will allow feign countrys to band together
To attack the USA.
He told them to build those weapons America is arrogant, and use to walk in any mans country, but not any more, those Islamics will put them in
Cells and hold them for years and the us pres. Can do nothing. China, Russia,
Turkey, libya will band together. Just watch the news and get saved by beloved Christ Jesus who
Will listen to your prayers the government in all countrys are hated by it's people. That came from

Lol, I slept without a cap for the first time and I won't again. Re twisting every night I don't do. Deep conditioning every wash day I havnt done in a while. 😢 yr hair is beautiful
From watching your video I have leant something new, you are doing very well keep it up and God bless you ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! Stay Safe and God Bless.
Grey is so graceful. You good girl
Jacqueline G Thanks sis!
Here, here going in to 2020 with positivity. And for filling goals.😊❤
Angela Butler 🙏🏾💯🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I found out the hard way, my hair hates to be bothered on a regular basis, I keep it simple and my hair is just growing very well without all that extra stuff. Your hair is EVERYTHANG. I love me some blue magic too.
That’s A LOT of hair Val! That lil “Phew” while greasing your scalp was SO familiar. Arms just be Tired!🤦🏾♀️
Your #mane is GOALS!
It’s as vitally important, if not more so, to keep up with #trims as it is to have a healthy overall routine; I think!!🤷🏾♀️
But I’m interested. How often and exactly how do you trim your ends?❤️
Marneen Carter Actually, I trim my own hair whenever I see my ends looking terrible. I definitely need to find a trustworthy stylist in my area to trim my hair and my kids hair.
TMC Natural Beauty .. Yeah, I currently trim my own too. Would love to find a trustworthy stylist as well!
Yasssss your routine sounds awesome! I was looking for a moisturizing spray for my girls, I think I’ll give Gro Spray a try. Thanks for watching!
@@TMCLYFESTYLE of course doll ♥️
Beautiful bun and beautiful hair. Great technique.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the compliment and thanks so much for watching xox
You have beautiful hair it’s flourishing
Lmfaooo Girl your card will definitely be revoked with these crazy naturals. Yes hair grease is my staple. I'm going thru some breakage but it's ok. I did blow dry my "plaits" a few times 2 stretch it" and I think it damaged it after I thought about it! I've cut prob 3.5 inches but it's still long I need it to be healthy from breakage
Well, we're going to get that hair back in shape sis. We can do it!
my hair change so much when I was trying to do what others people do if it don't fit please don't force it okay
JBCO is pretty strong. It itches because it stimulates blood circulation.
Great info. Thanks for sharing sis.
I'm using Palmers hair dress scalp and conditioner grease it has vitamin E and Jamacian black castor oil in it
I am gonna get me some of that grease ASAP
the struggle is real, omg I better no wash, and not put grease on my hair,i be mad at myself, because it's a job,i love my blue magic natural 5 yrs,my hair is the same as your, super thick and coarse.
You hair is fabulous. Enjoy the gray.
I use grease as well. My grey is growing the same way. I love it though
Thank you for the castor oil and blue magic tip. My daughter has eczema and her scalp has done well.
Cupcake Mom That’s awesome! ❤️❤️❤️💯
I’m also on a hair growth journey for the new year! Glad you said lazy naturals cause that me lol!
LOL Thanks for watching sis! xoxo
Your hair is so beautiful and so are you!!
Your hair is so beautiful
K Jay Thanks honey! ❤️
You can put a black rinse in it to get rid of the grey. That wont hair your hair.
Omg! You’re hair is absolutely beautiful !🥰
I’m going to do the same thing with my hair. I am 50 and my gray hair is taking over. I am definitely going to figure out if I am going to dye it. I find it hard to manage products. I started going gray at 16.😅
You are too cute and u have a lovely head of hair and I feel ya with the maintenance!!
yesyeschichi 🥰Thank you so much. Have a great weekend.
❤️❤️❤️ keep the grey it looks nice
I think your hair is very pretty! Greetz from The Netherlands 😉👋🏾
We all have everyday shedding...its natural and you are beautiful.
my hair could not grow without grease so I always use it regardless how anyone feels I have the kinda hair that eat grease like water hair grease hair brush
Thanks for your recommendations. 🎄🎄💜
Thanks for watching sis. xoxo
I have the grey streak on the side, wider than yours, I’m okay with it. I’ve had it since I was in high school, it’s just gotten wider. My family go grey early. If I don’t want to look at it I just part my hair on the other side and slick it in a low ponytail.
You know that frozen look
You give on here reminds
Me of when my daughter told my little nice " Glossie
When you with me you'd better not snatch away near the streets, and Glossie gave that same exact smirk, well that's the day Glossie got wiped up and down my hall way by her
Mother. Just thinking back.
Your hair is nice and thick
And all I used was grease and water on my daughters waist length.
Your hair is beautiful love it💕
Love your beautiful hair &Yes”
I too use grease” SINCE A little girl my hair loves it
I want to work on my weight. My hair goal is to have healthy hair. I have some gray hair also and I don't worry about the gray I just embrace it.

Maria Jones 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾❤️
Love ur hair I have went to bed with my hair all over my head NOT the thing for me to do 😩☹️ oooohhhhh weeeeee do I suffer 😳 lol
I would love to go back natural but I’ve been relaxing my hair for many many years and my hair is past my shoulders & healthy heat is only used when I get it done 2/3 weeks. Ur hair is beautiful natural
You have a head full of hair so obviously what you’re doing works for you...hello lights! Do you boo...
It looks good. Your hair is beautiful.
The gray hair looks great
Im jealous i miss that hair length. I don lock mine up.
Chile , am a new subbie ok, l love your hair and your video🤗
Thank you so much and welcome to my channel.
Heat is good for low porosity hair!
Beautiful hair and thank the Lord for me to live to.see.gray.hair.thumbsup
Here we go with the natural hair rules.🙄 Her hair looks better than most of the people shouting nooooo.
It looks good andv it's not aging your looks. It's just not easy excepting things that we are not use to about ourselves. I am 38, and have more noticeable greys my attitude about it is oh well.
You're my natural hair role model lol and yess I love grease!
LOL Thanks for watching.
wow your hair is adorable and long
I buy ponytail holders and put my hair in about 4 messy ponytails😀
