    Listennnn! Girl, I’m looking for inches!! 😆😄 But seriously, I want long healthy hair too. I don’t wash frequently, maybe every 8 weeks now. My scalp can definitely handle it. It actually does better than it did when I was a weekly washer. I also take my plaits or twists out every week to pull out shed hair and remoisturize, and put them back. This way I don’t have a tedious take down before wash day. So far so good! 😄🌺 You look lovely on this video! 💜

    I definitely believe health needs to be the goal, because I have had long, severely unhealthy hair before and it's not cute. Detangling is hard, it's jagged and uneven, and styles just won't hold the same. A little bit of damage I can live with, but now that my hair is mostly healthy I can see and feel the difference and I'm trying to really minimise things that would cause severe damage so I can have healthy long hair. 😊

    We can have both long and healthy hair. How that is achieved may differ for each of us, and may be more difficult for some to figure out. While I understand that it is difficult for many naturals because I have watched the struggle within the natural hair community, that has not been my personal experience. Having long healthy hair for me has been easy, and I'm grateful because it surely did not have to be this way. I don't have any long process, particular product, or secrets. My routine is simple and always has been. I used to shampoo once weekly currently I shampoo twice weekly, condition or deep condition, detangle while in the shower, add leave-in, and style. My styles are either a WnG or an updo.

    Yes there’s definitely a sacrifice being made whenever we set out hair goals and hair routines. We just have to be aware of them and accept the possible outcome whatever it may be! Great video as usual 💕

    Your hair is beautiful. I want both healthy and longer hair. Right now, I still have 3-5 more months to grow out relaxer. I’m going to work on leaving my hair in protective style this time for 1 month. I read the comment where they did not wash for 2 months but took down braids to remove shed hair, etc. That was a good tip.

    I live in a dessert. I wash my hair every week to 9 days. I only de tangle my hair once and that’s with tons of conditioner before I wash my hair and then I don’t de tangle again until the next wash day. However, I do moisturize my hair every 2 day with my tea essentials oils mixture because my climate is so dry doing the summer. In the winter I can go 3;day’s. I also keep my hair in a low manipulation style so I can undo it as needed.

    Great topic! Sometimes I feel we are obsessed with having long hair. Not sure where this is coming from. Long and short hair can be both healthy.

      @CoilyDiaries  15 дней назад +3

      yeah most of us on this channel crave length which is normal and a lot of us find it very feminine so I think it’s ok to have the goal of length but usually the healthy practices involve manipulation which isint great for length

    I wash my hair/scalp every week since almost 1y. I might have misses 3weeks because I have been busy but that's all. I'm determined and very focus. Every single week I can see them growing in different part and that's very motivating. I don't want to lose time. Each wash day is a healthy moment that I share. But I want length. I feel like my hair are healthy enough to concentrate on lengh for now. And when I achieve my lengh goal, only then I will go back to the healthy part. 💪🏽✨

      shouldn’t be a problem in small amounts but lighter oils like jojoba seem to work better for the scalp

    With thicker oils how often should it be applied on my scalp to prevent a clogged scalp, which can lead to minimum hair growth?

    • @belltillman6504
      @belltillman6504 15 дней назад +2

      For me I have thick hair as well. I use lighter oils on my scalp like pumpkin seed oil with also is a dht blocker on my scalp. I use heavy butter and thick leave in conditioner and seal that in with a grease on my hair strands. I only use the grease on my wash day I don’t reply it but I do re moisture with my tea mixture and leave in through out the week until my next wash day.

    • @CoilyDiaries

      I guess it depends how much you are using and for what purpose etc. leaving it on or rinse out? Also depends how often you shampoo etc
