Love your intro. My dad at the age of 16 enlisted tail end of WW2. Navy. Then life in the Army toured nam 3 times. PTSD was bad. 20 yrs ago I entered a Civil War quilt I made at Sisters quilt show. At the same time I signed up to quilt for the fallon soilders families. I was sent 2, the parents and for his wife. It had been 3 yrs since the tragic day. I lived close to where he worked as a Sherrif before military. I took the quilts and had all his fellow policeman sign them. They all remembered this man. Talked highly of him. The entire time I was quilting them , tears running down my face. All i could think about was, has the wife of this soldier moved on, and open the wound again for his parents? I couldn't do it after that. I did piece tops. But now I feel it was a real honor to help remember him. Anyway, its great what you are doing. 🥰
You are definitely going to be an incredible addition to the Timeless Treasures team. You have amazing talent and I love how you use it for so much good. We need more people like you in this world. ❤
What a sweet and kind heart you have Andrew. You reach out to us who have a difficult time ( me from age and depression ), and you care. That is one of the best gifts you can give a person. Thank you.
Your song reminded me of when I went to officer school in San Antonio. I had never met a colonel until then. And everywhere I turned there was a full bird colonel!! I have only made 5 QOVs so far but working on more. Love your videos & passion for the military folks. Saw your quilts in Houston. Hope to meet you one day.
