First, thank you for your service. Your voice reminds me of men from the 1950s. I had to comment and let you know I held my nose and covered my eyes when making a quilt out of BAMA fabric for the hubby. He's not a fan but his employers are. Great job on the videos!
Happy New Year Andrew! I am a new subbie and I can't wait to see where you go with this journey in your life! I am a newer quilter (about a year) but have been collecting fabric for over 5 years! LOL!! I am going through all of my fabric and trying to find a project for all of it. I have more fabric than space, but I can't give mine up! Hoping and praying that this new year is filled with many finished projects and Blessings of abundance for both you and your Mom! God Bless!
What a special gift and blessing to share your stash of batiks with your mom, especially since they are one of her fabrics to work with ❣️🤗 Happy New Year 🥳
Happy New Year Andrew! I would be happy to pay the postage for you to send the Alabama fabric to Barstow 😂 I am low on my Alabama fabric after the lone star class in October.
Thank you so much for your service 😀. I am also in the middle of purging my stash. I have so much fabric and i realize i am too old now to have time enough to use it all. I am now thinking about seeing if some Veterans group might like a bunch of it. I would like to get rid of at least 1/2 of it. not many fat quarters because i usually only purchased at least 3 yards of whatever i bought. I keep looking at the funeral flag of my veteran grandfather and wonder what will/can become of it. If anyone has any ideas, i would like to know. I hate the idea of someone tossing it in the trash when i'm gone. Should i make it into a patriotic quilt? Is that appropriate use of our flag?
Mine was the other way around, I went over to my mom's house for X-mas and bought home two suitcses full and have two boxes being shipped to me as mom has given up sewing/quilting due to arthritis in both hands.
Batik is my favorite fabric too, Mom. Ok, so I’m a batik addict. I can’t get enough. So if you’re de-stashing……what are you making room for that is better than having a stash of batik fabric? Curious in Michigan. Like your shirt, too, by the way.
I've spent the last 3 days 'pre cutting' fabric scraps; today I found a whole bunch that I have 'pre cut' a long time ago. 2025 New years resolution is no fabric is to enter my quilt studio. I can't believe I'm saying this - 'I have enough fabric to keep me busy until ....." Barb
I love batiks! Who is kidding who? I love fabric😊

Wow! That’s a lot of de-stashing!
Hi Andrew and MOM. Happy New Year and bless you.
Let’s see what shipping to Alaska would be.
Don’t need Alabama fabric here in MI but I am happy to see you. 😂
Yes, get rid of the Alabama fabric!! 🤣
Go blue!

Alabama fabric
Andrew I would be more than happy to take this off your hands
Golly don't burn Alabama. Ill take it!
I would like to know who won the lonestar quilt? I haven't seen it yet. Thank you
I hope you are teasing about burning the fabric! Got in WV fabric? I love batiks! Are you going to give them away or sell them ?
Gifted them all to mom.
If you’re selling any of the batiks, I’d be interested. I’ve never used batiks before and it’s on my to do list
Would love your Alabama fabric for a quilt of valor donation.
