Let's give some respect to Zepp. They were so ahead of their time they wrote a Tool song in the 70s.
Tool can actually play their songs live though.
Facts. I like Tool's No Quarter better, but no telling what Zepp could do if they walked into the studio in their prime today to rerecord and mix the song.
@@johnnyb6067 Thars what I hear.. 🤣
Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and TOOL are at the same level of greatness. ✌️
lol
The guys in TOOL grew up on ZEPPELIN and FLOYD. Both of those bands were touring when the guys from TOOL would have been in high school. ✌️
Been with you since first Tool reaction. Always enjoy your vids
Appreciate you being here!
Same 🤘😝🤘
Emp, the guitarist from Zep, is arguably considered the GOAT!
My favorite cover of all time!!!
Emp, the drummer from Zep, is arguably considered the GOAT!
Do yourself a favor, see them LIVE. No matter the cost!
Of course, it would not exist without the original, but TOOL owns it now.
The first half of Tools cover is really close to LZ's original and pays respect, the 2nd half they put their own stamp on it.
Been a Tool fan since undertow.
Dig it, Emp. Great treat for the 4th. An American band paying homage to a British classic🧐
When I listen to the Zep version I feel like I'm floating on water. With Tool's version I AM the water.
And welcome to the wait for new music. While they say 2nd half this year.... We've been here before. Until we see an actual release, I won't believe a god damn thing LOL.
Great 4th of July present
Emp, the bassist from Zep, is arguably considered the GOAT!
Definitely check out Zeppelin. They're one of the greats. So many amazing songs, it's hard to recommend them all, so I'll only suggest the best rock/blues song of all time, which is "Since I've Been Loving You."
Please check out studio versions of Zeppelin before their live work. They improvise so much live it's almost like listening to different songs...
I need to blink and pick my jaw up off the floor lol. I've never come across anyone who was oblivious to Led Zeppelin, and I'm too old for that kind of shock. "Black Dog" and "Whole Lotta Love" are good places to start. Jimmy Page is one of my favorite guitarists of all time, and John Bonham was amazing on drums when he was alive.
Yes do Zeppelin theyre fn great, this cover is absofnlutely amazing Tool is just immaculate love them so much❤
The answer to anything Led Zeppelin is yes
Tool made a good song great.
Pays homage but definitely has a TOOL take. ✌️
That drop near the end…. 🔥
Really hyped for A Perfect Circle. Cant go wrong with any of their albums. Mer De Noms, their debut, is a masterpiece; So is their sophomore effort Thirteenth Step. Eat the Elephant, their most recent, is also great. eMOTIVe is a cover album but good too. So yeah, hyped for u to start the APC journey!
As for puscifer, pretty cool, they have a few gems, but could never really get into them
So many great songs in their discography, I think Emp will be pleasantly surprised!!
Both versions are great. Yeah, check out the Zep version for sure.
Either in a reaction or on your own, you should definitely listen to the Zeppelin version and then Tools again. Like others have said, Tool pays homage to Zeppelin but makes the song their own as only Tool can.
Oh hey don’t forget The Witness a Adam Jones Gibson guitar commercial , with special guest Justin C, Danny C , it’s the greatest commercial outside Danny Carey Pneuma drum cam
Sadly, I'm a little skeptical about them doing much recording the second half of this year, because Danny is going to be touring pretty extensively with the "Beat" tour that he's doing with Steve Vai and some of the guys from King Crimson
Ok.. I swear I'm not into dudes, but God damn how you manage to look so good in every vid...? Handsome man 😎
More from LZ? Sure. I think you will like Kashmir
Absolutely recommend a deep dive into Zep! Start with the original version of this song, so you can appreciate how TOOL paid respect to the mighty Zeppelin while making the song their own.🍻
Been a 30 year ride for me ,since 94 I was in 11th grade
I turned out alright
Kept myself out of jail and still breathing
Funny story: They wanted this on the Anniversary Zepp album but the problem was TOOL was so long they couldn't fit in on the album and they refused to shorten the song.
As we say here in Ireland … bleeding’ chooooon 🇮🇪
Led Zep changed music history.
Def tool-ed up but an excellent cover
Zeps is good too, but theirs is also a cover
🤘🏻🌀
Bon-yar-stomp
this song is my favorite Justin Chancellor studio bass recording
Dude that bass with flanger and delay, possibly reverb as well, in the quiet/middle section is so fucking beautiful. But chancellor has so many beautiful basslines its hard to choose personally. But this one is definitely up there.
@@Mintis-bh4rr it gets me crying every time 🥲
@@vanilla_milkshake made me tear up once or twice too.
🌀👁🌀
Puscifer took a little longer to grow on me, but now it's on par with Tool!
Fun Fact - 2nd guitar on this song is King Buzzo from Melvins fame. He also appears on 10,000 days pt.2
That was a misprint on the liner notes for Salival. King Buzzo was actually the second guitar on You Lied, not No Quarter. He was also on a bootleg version of Tool’s cover of Stranglehold from 1998.
@@jasontaboada6855 100% correct. King Buzzo plays on You Lied. It's just the Tool boys on No Quarter.
Emp found a HIDDEN TRACK. Lol.
I want a new song based off that ending riff it is so bad ass If you do the original do a live version
They can take you places not many can The thing many dont mention about them is as hard as they go they never go overboard
Potions by Puscifer please?,😊
Dude don't skip Zeppelin, even if it's not for RUclips. Zeppelin made some amazing music
Robert Plant original Zepp does it best
All Salival songs are live recordings. Looking forward to more Maynard bands in the future! Happy Independence Day. 🌀🤘👍
Not true
Harry Manback II, No Quarter, LAMC/Maynard’s Dick are not live, but studio.
Harry Manback II, No Quarter, LAMC/Maynards Dick are not live, but studio.
Emp, the vocalist from Zep, is arguably considered the GOAT!
This was (as a Zep lover) my least favorite Zep song. Then, Tool did this. Changed all of it.
I love everything that Maynard’s done, but I didn’t like how he started sounding like Ekart Tolle around all the beauty of Lateralus, from there on out…no matter how awesome it is, I just can’t feel it like the stuff up to there. I felt Judith, hard…I felt Ænema hard…but then I guess I just went dark, and he went light, so I couldn’t hear him as well…inside, you know…in the world of our baby feelings.
I get now, you're the guy that reacts with zero rhythm and music theory 😂
Led Zeppelin blows. Number one overrated band ever.
I'd say Rolling Stones. Even growing up I didn't find much of their songs interesting. But hey, diff times.
Shit opinion
